I was expecting it to be the 25th, but still close enough. I like how meta it is that Hayate's saying that that day isn't far off, yet it's taken them over 400 chapters to get to go a bit over 7 months. That's about another 300-350 chapters to reach December 24th at the current pace.

The movie takes place at the end of August, and Nagi's deadline to finish her doujin is 8/14. Hata could push this manga forward pretty quickly if he wanted to. It's starting to feel like there's nothing really left between the end of the current arc and the final arc, anyways. All the hints and nudges he's been dropping with Athena, Yozora, Ikusa, Himegami, Mikado and the inheritance condition, ect all seem to tie to the main plot. The long summer arc is mostly just about developing Nagi enough that she's ready for the last story push. Last edited by madmac; 2013-05-05 at 18:24. |

Yeah. I get the somewhat ironic angle of "Hey look! When you put the two competent normal characters together...nothing really happens because they're both on top of it all the time. Yay?" but it made for a fairly dry read. I am slightly amused that Chiharu and slight Yuri teasing is becoming a thing, though.
Still want to know where all this goes with Nagi and the mystery lady. |
