Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

30 day trial and yeah, I think a 7 day extension. They're going to have to optimize the blacklisting and have more active moderation. It's nearly impossible to function in Ul'dah now. Shouts, yells, whispers, says, more and more convoluted spam text. It took me 15 minutes to catch 'em all with a character who hadn't been in the city before.

function = having a conversation.

I've put my FC and say on a separate screen at this point. Usually that doesn't happen until I go deep immersion roleplay.

It's a holiday currency for buying holiday whatnot like swimsuits and sparklers. Purely random. special mobs drop them.

So if I ever want to try the game out before deciding if I want to subscribe it or not, I'll still have to buy the game first?

If you have a "teens" character, there's also a FATE for it near the Drybone camp (just east of town). They seem to have one set up for each level decade in different zones.

That's pretty much the way MMOs have worked since "the old days of UO and EQ". You buy the "world" (which comes with a 30 day free trial). If you're still interested after that, you subscribe. The "free to download" and "free to play" economic models are relatively recent experiments in alternative cash flow.

Yeah, I was asking about the market price for that item. After I checked last night, it turn out that people sold it at around 13 gil price mark. I could have bought it and rise the price, but I don't think it will be sellable at 500 gil a piece price

Anyway, got a question. When I get green item from dungeon, some of it have untradable status and some of it don't. Is this status unique based on the item or there's a way to not get the untradable status?

Yes, I know that untradable item can't be traded. What I want to ask is, I found some green item from dungeon can be traded while another different green item have the untradable status, is this untradable status unique for that certain item or you can find two version of the same item(let's say, level 15 mage armor plaundered bilaud), the untradable item and not.

If everything is tradable, what is the point of implementing gil?

It would have become a barter market; and grinders/farmers would win, screwing the casual players. Economics 101.

i dont think a few key equipment on the market will ruin it, everyone is already selling all the materials on the market, a few extra red and green equipment isnt gonna ruin it

The problem is the initial stages would make people flip stuff and cause hyperinflation.

Like a certain person here flipping elm logs for gil. Basket.

Sadly, not all gears are convertible, especially the green pieces (some you can't even vendor for token gil)

Unfortunately, there are no two versions of the same item.

Because you still have to take into account the crafting side of the game. Having superior gear available solely through dungeon is bad enough, allowing those to be sold and you might as well just delete the crafting and gathering classes.

This. If they'd have component drops that you can only get from dungeon mobs and armor made from it by crafters, then you might have a fair self-contained economy of sorts.
