Wow, this episode was awesome. The action scenes were really well done on the budget they have and the humor was on the point too. Maou is probably one of the best protagonists we've had for a while. The way he stole cueball's thunder was hilarious. It's no wonder he was able to become demon king if he is both so powerful and smart.

I really like how they showed how fragile humans are, both when Maou got shot and when Emi broke her legs.

I like how Emi even has her own super saiyan transformation

You know, surprisingly the more I watch this show the more I appreciate it. It keeps track of what it is very well and manages to, in my opinion, do all the right things for its plot. It doesn't become insanely convoluted, or make lots of strange and unexpected changes in the tone of the show. Even as the plot became more dramatic and even action-oriented, it still was very consistent.

In line with some other comments, they have indeed already come to a potential conclusion. The nice thing about it all is, this series has been done so well thus far that I have little doubt they'll manage to continue without missing a beat.

Also, everyone simultaneously calling the priest out on being a hypocrite killed me, and even more so because I said the same exact thing that all of them said.

Hmm, I noticed they changed the eye color of Emi's power form. I remember the novel explicitly states that her eyes become red while her hair becomes silver. I thought they were only doing it in episode 1 so we can tell the armor covered "hero" and Emi are the same person, but I guess they are keeping her eyes yellow for the rest of the series.

Personally I thought the red eyed version look kick ass, but yellow is still good I suppose.
