The other novel have been released in 8 to 11 parts, 1 part a month, so more or less one full year of serialization and after that 3 to 6 month for the novel to be published.
NOT is an exception because the novel has been directly released without prior serialization. HunterSeeker last info say that the prologue or 1st chapter of the next novel will be released in the Dragon Mag at the end of the month and the full novel in February (one year after NOT). The spring 2009 series of Kyoto Animation will be Munto, so probably Haruhi 2 for autumn 2009. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...t-new-tv-anime http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=73858 |

Yea, but didnt they just start Munto now? and I heard that they're dedicating everyone in the company to this new project. That means no FMP for at least half a year right? If that happens, geez...definitely not good for FMP.

Well, I wish Gatoh would get on with finishing the last novel, because NOT wasn't as impressive as it's many pages would suggest... and I can't wait for more FMP anime!!
And even though it seems like common knowledge around here that Kyoto will animate another season once the (main) storyline ends, can anyone actually confirm it for me (so I don't get my hopes up on a rumour :P)? Thanks. |

I seriously doubt they will animate all those novels in one season. They could at least start with "A Dancing Very Merry Christmas" novel, it even has a nice ending, if I remember correctly. They can make at least 3 seasons with all the material they got.

50 episode series maybe. dont know what it takes to have fmp be 50 episodes like eureka7, but it be nice if they could do it like that.
I was just thinking about this. in fmp first season and tsr the story line is not as dark as it seems in the later novels. after watching RahXephon, Xam'd: Lost Memories, and Eureka 7. I kind of wish Bones would get the opportunity to do the animation of the later novels for FMP. I know the 3 series have nothing in common with FMP (FMP is unique), but after watching those 3 series I got the feeling that fmp shares a lot in common (action/romance/drama). nothing in the story line. so yeah maybe Bones can pick up the rights by some miracle. in the end I just want the animation to get done RIGHT. here is to hoping for a 50 episode series |

I rather the new season of FMP! not be over 24 episodes because then the animation and character designs of the show will likely be sporadic in terms of quality. Likewise, if Kyoto Animation is animating the new season, I doubt they would go over 24 episodes since they have not done a show over 24 episodes yet (Clannad does not count since Clannad After Story is a new 'season'). While that is not a good point, I really doubt 50 episodes would be possible if Kyoto Animation is animating the new season, but who knows. Maybe it will happen.
