She's just playing the long game. Be hard on the kids, get one to branch out, dominate two schools with variation of Nishizumi style, ensuring dominance for her family for a few generations.

Ruthless and single-minded can co-exist just fine with being a reasonable and caring parent I can understand where her aims and approaches come from. With this being said, I would love to see her more compassionate side: maybe the upcoming Final Chapter could do this.

Actually, here's something I'm wondering: it makes that Yukari becomes Yukari, and Kaori becomes Kaorin with respect to how endearing nicknames work, but how does Miho become Miporin? I like it, as it sounds adorable, but porins are also a class of beta-barrel proteins that cross cell membranes

More specifically, Bandai want more GuP and has the IP rights to do so, but they are worried about Actas not being stable enough. They want to fund more series but decided it is important that Actas doesn't go bankrupt in the mean time.
Seriously, there had been dangerous signs that Actas couldn't support itself. It just makes sense to buy them out. It is basically a rescue to make sure the existing talent doesn't get scattered.

Interesting...I've heard that Actas was pretty small and underfunded (IIRC, wasn't that why there was that month long delay between episodes 10 and 11-12 when it aired?), but to hear a big studio like Bandai Visual acquired them boosts hope that there could be more GuP stuff in the future. I only hope that, if it does happen, it remains quality stuff and not merely average to "meh" stuff with the title slapped on for quick money.
It would also be nice to get more games, and ones that could hopefully be localized.

Bandai's current strategy is to release PS4 games in Asia with English subs. The idea is that people who want to buy it internationally can do so, while Bandai doesn't have to worry about costs of distributing in the West.
