Huh, that really didn't reveal anything more other than the timeframe being "Winter MC-0002".
Edit: Interesting viewpoint that Relena seems to have based on that blog. Upon rewatching Endless Waltz, WuFei says that "Her belief that peace comes from discarding weapons and confining soldiers is wrong!" Yet in the novel she now believes that "realizing true peace only through discarding weapons and confining soldiers is impossible."

what about new gundams?
will they reconstruct the old ones do you think, or make new ones? and for things like flash backs, do you think they'll use the tv series versions or the Endless waltz versions? (i say it depends on what they deathscythe mg coming out in september turns out to be) |

And the versions seen in EW are what the Gundams were always meant to look like so we won't be seeing the Gundams from the TV series.

i can see them being used still even 30 years after (especialy since i doubt MS development was very prominent in the time betwen this and EW)
the leo was used for 20 years before it was surpased by the taurus and if we were to look at real life examples then there are plenty of weapons that are over 30 years and still being used in the US army, the b-52 was implimented in 1955 and its expected to be in use until 2060 |

I presume this 'new military' they've been speaking of will have a whole new slew of mobile suits coming to us.
As for the Gundams, I doubt they'll bring the old ones back. They're gone, with the exception of possibly Epyon (we don't know WHAT happened other than that Zechs survived), and possibly parts of Wing Gundam (which were used in the Preventer 5 story as a plotpoint). Obviously, being a Gundam series, I'm sure we'll see SOME Gundam at some point but who knows what or when. Deathscythe and Shenlong have been destroyed in battle. Heavyarms and Sandrock were upgraded, then detonated along with Deathscythe Hell. Altron was detonated. Wing Zero we saw was decimated beyond the ability to operate by overuse of the buster rifle. But Wing and Epyon are giant question marks. We also never saw if Zechs and Noin detonated the Taurus and Tallgeese III after the battle. I assume they would be using the redesigns, especially now that they're putting out models of Katoki's first-season Gundam redesigns. |

Well, the thing with Epyon is it was IMPLIED to have been detonated, but Zechs still survived, right? If I recall correctly, either the manga or novelization of the series showed Epyon at the bottom of the ocean to imply that Zechs escaped alive, as we saw he did once EW came out. That's the problem when they don't show you exactly what happens to an MS. In that same vein, I wonder if they'll say something like the detonated pieces of the Gundams were salvaged by someone and used to make new designs... Wouldn't be the first time. (I've always wanted to see an Epyon Ka, personally ^^; Loved that suit. But I doubt it'll ever happen.) |
