Putting all the pacing issues aside
I'm kinda glad they ended the first episode where they did Giving a reasonable explanation for Lisha's anger and a glimpse of her cute side Otherwise we'd be getting a lots of 'Another blonde violent tsundere main girl'

I think its pretty obvious who is the dark hero which help destroyed the Arcadia empire. The hints are just everywhere in the op and episodes itself. Oh wait, does that mean he destroyed his own empire? Such mystery... continue watching the next episodes... hahaha
And the subs are not that good.

When the hero fell on the heroine in the bat before we even got to see his face I totally expected a derivative cliche fest on par with Blade Dance. And for the most of episode it was. A meek, clumsy hero, a tsundere heroine, an all girl school with the hero as the only guy, hero and heroine getting into a duel, but halfway through the duel things took a turn for the better and surprised me. I honestly expected Lux to just beat Lisha with his crappy Drag-ride, to establish how great he is, but instead an Abys shows up and they team up to beat him. I found that a cool way for them to resolve the conflict.
Lux is a pretty typical harem action protagonist, with a meek personality but hiding some secrets, in a difficult place in life but hiding a great power. He's nice, brave but perhaps not the sharpest tool in the shed. The biggest problem I have with him is his voice- very annoying. Aside from that he's fine. I totally expect his black sword to summon a Bahamut Drag-ride, a counterpart to Lishe's Tiamat. Lisha is also a typical heroine but seems to be on the better part of a spectrum. She's a tsundere princess, but she's not unreasonably abrasive or condescending towards Lux. She was mad at him when she had a legitimate grievance but let go of the grudge once he proved himself to her and started to get along with him just fine. She's wilful and hotblooded but not obnoxiously so. I like her design, she's cute. I think she and Lux will make a good couple. I also like that she's the strongest and highest standing student at the school, I much prefer strong heroines than incompetent ones that other girls can make jabs at. I also love that she has a gravity based powers, those are always cool. Airi is pretty fine as far as younger sisters go. She doesn't act bratty and doesn't seem to be a bro-con which is a good start. Will have to see more of her before getting a more refined opinion. Creepy stalker girl is creepy. I hate this type of characters. All in all a pretty good episode and I look forward to the next one. If they can keep this up, they will be able to hold the line for actually decent LN high school fantasy adaptations that started last season. |

I am starting to like Ari Osawa's voice work. She can make a good impressionist, her voice is sounding like Noriko Shitaya at times, and her voice in Active Raid made me thought it was Risa Taneda at times.

![]() Anyway, Bahamut didn't pique my interest either. Sure, the original designer is capable of lewd things, but the show and its concept/s didn't grab me by the collar and say WATCH ME YOU MASOCHISTIC PIECE OF SHIT. Well, I'm already blazing through my anime list backlog so it's not like I'm exposed to nothing this season.

I took the plunge and watched the first episode.
- The OP sequence is pretty stylish minus that one awkward transition and I like the song. - I really like the character designs. It's half the reason I even cared to watch this, if I'm being honest. - Setup is extremely generic, but the political angle of the premise makes it slightly more bearable. The action scenes seemed competent. - Lisha, for now, seems less annoying than the average tsundere. That's not really saying much, but she didn't make me want to hurt someone, so that's good. This can always change at any point, though. The only thing I straight-up hated was the whole "lol, the protag sees the main girl naked!" stereotype. I don't care if it's there solely to create the opportunity of Lux seeing Lisha's crest, I just think it's stupid and I'm tired of seeing it. But if I try my hardest to ignore that, the episode didn't really offend me on any other level. Perhaps I'm being too generous? Hmm... Anyway, I might keep an eye on this mainly because I'm curious to see if Krulcifer lives up to her (apparent) hype.

so... the guy's some sort of slave that works for anything non-stop everyday without pay because he used to be the Prince of the previous empire... and looks like he can't refuse the orders either.
At least the sis weren't working in "suspicious jobs" and is just attending the Academy. Good thing he's now attending the Academy, so he got off from having to work like a slave for random works. (just now have to work for the girls in the Academy instead) I say slave, cause they're wearing those Neck Bracelets that usually placed on Slaves (as seen in RL, Movies and other Anime/Manga) And yes... IS vibes... but maybe the MC won't be completely useless in here... maybe... lol PS: hmmm... pulling her shirt and panties to reveal the tattoo... lewd... *takes pics* Also, ppls talked about that foreshadow of black sword. If he is indeed the Black Hero... what's the point of doing that if his family would be turn into slaves? Who really do that? It's like saying you're literally selling off your family members cause you're in a rebellious age... |
