*raises hand* I read the translated LN on Baka-Tsuki, and it was about the funniest thing I'd read in a while. Haven't really checked out the manga so I can't say how it compares, but I loved the book. We'll have to wait and see how this adaptation turns out...

Wonderful staff and cast. Director Oonuma Shin was a colleague of Shinbou's and out-Shinbou-ed him with the two ef shows. The writer who adapted the novel (Takayama Katsuhiko) did the two ef shows, Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora and Natsu no Arashi.
The cast may not be huge stars, but many have done good work: Shimono Hiro -- Jin in Kannagi Harada Hitomi -- doing an excellent job as Tomoe in Sasameki Koto Mizuhashi kaori -- Ogiue in Genshiken Suzuki Ttasuhisa -- Sugata in Sora no Otoshimono Katou Emiri -- Kagami in Lucky Star, Mayoi in Bakemonogatari Taketatsu Ayana -- Azusa in K-On, Vanilla in Yumeiro Patissiere Miyata Kouki -- Arthur in Emma Nanjou Yoshino -- Koko in DC2, and the new singer in fripSide, who have such a big hit with "Only My Railgun." Add that to the top-rated novel, and I have high hopes for this show. Animation director/character designer Ooshima Miwa did both Saiunkoku and Koihime Musou. The PV looks great and is hilarious. Count me in.

Damn I'm so excited. Obviously watching this one for the lulz
It's been a long time since I've seen a funny main lead (last one was naGARsumi) and Yoshii here just takes the cake. The dude is just hilarious; his stupidity knows no bounds, and he's clearly the reason why I'm glued to this. I'm okay with the summons, though other people might get discourage by it. Seen the promos and so far so good. My only problem is Yoshii's face, he just looks a lil intimidating unlike his novel and manga counterpart where you can already tell he's a goofball just by looking at him Got highexpecations on the anime, hope it doesn't disappoint.

REGION LOCK FFFFFFFFFF
Wasn't there a proxy site that let you look like you were accessing from another country? Alternatively, has anyone downloaded it and put it up as a torrent? EDIT: Nicovideo I love you never change.
