From 2ch thread:
- There will be five theme songs for five stories each with different animation. The music will be done by Kousaki Satoru and the lyrics will be done by Megumi Hinata (meg rock). - Each story will have their own unique direction. Hitagi Crab is more serious tone that don't break the visual image of the reader. Mayoi Snail will have more gag-comedy direction. - The drama CD ("Hyakumonogatari") will have literally one hundred super-short stories. Tomorrow's Aniplex's free Anicom Magazine will have a full-issue cover on Bakemonogatari. Who the hell thought A3 is a good idea. Now that's impossible to pack it back home… (Original novel is already in standard non-light novel size.) |

Delicious scans from latest Charamel:
I'm a bit confused now got to read the latest Ani-Com (pg 2-3), the producer refers to those five theme songs as "opening songs" while still refers to supercell's Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari as theme song (but not ending song). Huh? The song will be different, the animation maybe not. I'm not really sure now. Maybe it will be like Negima!?'s opening theme… but Shinbo said in another interview that they will "change" them every chapter, with each song emphasis on character's characteristic. Hmm... |

From the interview in official website, the series will be 15-episodes long.
Spoiler for Episode list:
Interview summary: - Mayoi Snail was originally organized as 2-episodes but Shinbo feel the conversation part is way too short, that's why he extends it to 3-episodes. - The same with Tsubasa Cat which was originally organized as 3-episodes, now 5-episodes. - TV broadcast will end at episode 12, episode 13-15 will be broadcast for free on the web. (This may change, however.) - This was not done for the sole purpose of DVD sales, the series simply could not fit into 12 episodes. (Thus, net broadcasting.) - Kimi ni Shiranai Monogatari will also be used as an ending song. There will be five different opening songs. - "This time we will no longer using any 'tricks' but will directly express the original work." …this probably means the last TV broadcast episode will be "that" episode I want to watch the most. Awesome. Also, opening visuals will be different. OP3 used for ep 4-5 will be done by ex-Basquash's director Itagaki Shin. Last edited by sirn; 2009-07-02 at 08:03. |

Yay, so it might actually do the original material justice, which is awesome because I don't feel Shaft has ever really done that. And, this novel series deserves it more then anything, it's soooo good. So when does it air, within the next couple hours right?
