funny thing is every work of yours around here are so good it's hard to choose what's great between them. The kaguya one is my favorite, just tone down the brightness a little and that will be perfect.

@blaze0041: While I like the r1 draft the best, sadly it's too contrasting with the gradient so I agree that r1b would fit best. Have you tried to make the colors brighter / less vivid? especially for the BG. The gradient has bright colors after all. I think a "lighter" option from image > adjustments > variations should suffice.
@Patchy: Aside from the text it'd be nice if the right side transition is smoother too like the left side although I see that it might be difficult (at least for me) due to the lack of usable contour for fading effects on that side. On overall, I also think this is the best of your tries.

Really didn't have the inspiration or time to be doing this. But ever since I got into PS. I been making entry each time for this contest! So even if it's not best. I don't want to miss out on this. So...
My Entry! Beige / Blue C&C?

A little nip and tuck here and there... shouldn't be much to change now (I hope).
DraftC r2: BG opacity reduced and curves layer enabled. Bokeh opacity reduced. Preview: Beige | Blue I could probably reduce the BG opacity by about an extra 10%, and maybe the sides need fixing again.

Both of yours are ready to go IMO
The BG looks fine now IMO. Showing more of the sands is a good move as for the sides, I believe they only need very minor smoothing, especially on the upper left corner. There's a cloud over there so you could shave the BG inward a little like on the right side.

R3b is almost perfect except that the right side still needs a tiny bit more smoothing (the cut-off of the fence is slightly visible and it creates the "border" problem) . Make r3b's right side like the r3a and this will be the last edit of yours!

Design-wise, it's far better. You only need to smoothen the left side BG transition and also the cloud on the right of the "forum" word (the correct one is "Forums" btw.) since it seems chopped quite clearly.
You might need to check your gradient again (in case you did something to it unintentionally) since it doesn't blend with the forum gradient after I put it in the test page. There's the border problem on both sides and the banner gradient seems slightly different in colors compared to the forum gradient. Your previous version didn't have this problem.

Announcement & rule change about the number of submissions per member:
Due to the low number of entries, I'm extending the deadline a bit, so that people who started a project will have time to complete it with no hurry. Feel free to edit your submitted entries if you think they can be improved. In addition I'm allowing one more entry per member, so all of you who already submitted 1 banner, can now submit another. Make a new post in the entry thread if you wish to make a new submission, do not edit the old one unless it is for modifying the existing banner. The maximum is now 2 (Two) posts/banner per member, 1 banner=1 post. We need more entries because 6+2 will make it into the rotation, but for future periods we'd like to have a good number of alternatives. Like this, with 12 entries we'd have very few alternatives. Besides the last contests had 27 and 28 entries so this was a non issue.

Not sure about the lines under the text, but it's just personal preference. Everything looks really good and I like the effects you used. Maybe use the blur tool + burn/dodge on the flowers and around the render to create some more depth? Also consider using one or two gradient maps to make the sky color match more with the bg gradient, but again that might just be personal preference

@rikikai ~ Looks Amazing, Very colorful and Summer like, for me its ready to go.
@Patchy ~ The image is really low quality and the font is difficult to read because of the color, but like always you did a really good job overall. @blaze ~ DraftC r4, wow that's a lot of versions Anyway, i find it somewhat strange the background behind the girls, it's a big blue ocean, then a mountain and streets? I think that are two differents pics, right? --- That's good news, i was really finding the numbers of entries kinda low compared to the last contest. I did another for the second entry, decided do another one other then the Nozomi/Nico one to have some variation series wise. Here is ~ -Beige- Series - Etrian Odyssey 4 Picture - Official
