Today's debut day, but before that gets underway, it's also being simulcast.
The modern age in all its wonders. (Also, to the mod who adds the CR to the title, may you please also correct the "to" to "no"? Thank you.) |

PapaKiki 01 - That One Club
MNO was one of my favorite anime to air recently - it was a work of art, and as much as the changing directors may have been a last minute thing, it gave the show its own sense of identity. Anything that pushes absurdity like that did earns a special place among my favorites. While this isn't nearly as absurd, I can still see traces of MNO's DNA in it. Mostly in the dialogue. Raika may have the opposite personality type from Otome, but both of them are the kind of people who are likely to do outlandish things just because they can. Mostly an expositionary episode, with Hina and Sora getting most of it. Miu's role was pretty brief, aside from the preview. Since the premise is only just getting established, I don't have a feel for how the show will be "regularly" yet, but it's not off to a bad start. Oh, and no OP this week, just the ED. |

Hmm ... I really hope ep 1 is setting the standard for the other eps in that the story is slowly developed.
I really liked the male lead's sister - a kind character. And Hina was adorable. I did not expect Hocchan to voice a deadpan character - kind of a surprise for me. I really hope this does not turn into a fanservice show. -_- A decent beginning for now. I kinda liked the ED - although not mind blowing by any stretch of the means. Somehow this season has been so bleak in the realm of OP and ED that I like something like this is nice to hear. 7/10 vote from me.

Eps 1 is better than my expectation The start is different from manga. It is realistic. This is Usagidrops with fanservice I hope they keep the lolifanservices as few as possible 9/10

I agree it is impossible ... I was just hoping it does not turn into a show with fanservice as its main element. Folks that want fanservice can go watch HighSchool DxD afaiac.
I agree about the start being more realistic somehow, though.

Oh man Hina is too adorable. Forgot the other sisters names though. Lol how the older one has a crush on him. Seems like a realistic situation, i've had to baby sit my niece before, but having to babysit 3 girls is a tough task. Though at least i was told about it, like how his sister just dumped this on him.
How is he supposed to watch them when he goes to college that's away from their home. Or is he on break. Raika was pretty funny as well, why did she give him porn mags? I also hope that they have as little fan-service as possible concerning the children.

The MC's voice is terrible, but the fat guy was even worse so I'm just glad I won't have to put up with him again because he was freaking awful (EDIT: Oh God it was Junji Majima. What an incredible waste of talent). If this show is trying to be funny then it's failing miserably since none of the jokes were funny. And although i find it cute that one of the girls has a crush on him, that bathroom scene was just plain stupid. I always hate it when it takes what seems like several lifetimes for the characters to react (Just close the fucking door already!) and that fanservice shot we got from the blonde sister only makes me more worried that it might turn into that kind of show...
Hina was adorable though. The saving grace of the episode.

As for character designs, Blond loli with twin-tails is so overused thats its easy to find comparison series. Just H ones have like 3 similar characters recently used, which you can find just by looking on series covers on anidb (need to find anime somewhere right). Anyway I was considering reading the manga but as anime just got released I'll see if its worth watching, what I expect is probably multum of loli ecchi which doesn't hit my spots ... |

Just yesterday, i found the manga and started reading it.
And just know, i found out the anime starts to air. How cool is that. Certainly follow this series. I havent watched the first episode yet, but the manga looks surprising.

Not bad, liked hearing a lot of familiar seiyuus making an appearance (Daisuke Ono, Yui Horie, Kitamura Eri, I can hear you talking over there). There's a little too much here that's cliched here for me, but the setting feels pretty decent and things could probably work out as the characters aren't one-dimensional.
The sightseeing club president is seriously creeping me out though. He looks EXACTLY like Hirano Kouta from Highschool of the Dead but sounds entirely different. It's kinda freaking me out. xD
