That's really rather a pretty/cute/itmustbemymine version of Kona. I'd like to see how they portray the rest of the gang.
Hair: maybe that's Kona's ultimate "WIN" ... the combination of moppy antennae hair couple with an ahoge coupled with Tsuruya hair length and finished off with petite body height ... it MUST be obeyed (or at least invited to any gaming session).

I don't have a wife, but I still think she's uber cute there. It's harder than you think to go from chibi to um, non-chibi. Last night I tried to draw a non-chibi Kona-chan in a pose from the OP (instead of writing my essays, haha, this was around four in the morning), but it was too weird. I ended up erasing the whole thing and creating a little *Kona-chan steals Miyuki-chan's glasses* scene. XD

Man what's keeping the artists who draw stuff from scratch. There's too much pallet swapping for my tastes, it's just uncreative and uninteresting after like the 30th one. Who keeps doing these anyway? This show has to have one of the lowest original fanart and doujin art count for a hyped series I've ever seen. Kind of disappointing to be honest as I was looking forward to a bustling image thread.

Bored people with too many pallete swapping buttons
I'd like to see more fan art using different styles like that semi-realistic (or at least drama anime style) version of Konata. For me that's entertaining when an artist can use a completely different style but you can still say, "That's obviously Character X!"
