Have to say didn't expect Lancer to be such a threat. He's really pushing Saber and she's not in a great position. A spear that can break through magic and one that can inflict wounds that won't heal anytime soon (I assume it's not never or she'll bleed out before the war is done). Rough for Saber who wants to keep her identity hidden.
Alexander the Great . That guy is unbelievable in so many ways. He just charges into the field and announces his name. I can't wait to see what happens in the next episode since he just threw everyone off. Interesting for Emiya spotting Assassin. That removes the advantage of him at least thinking Assassin might be gone (though he already had doubts). Will see what happens with him leaving one to follow Irisviel around since they could take him out, but that would let Kirei know that they know.

Well when a servant is detected, it means that if they are within a certain radius of another master or servant, they can be sensed. Doesn't matter how they move or whatever.
Here, he was alerted to Assassin's presence by the gust of wind, not because he could feel a servant being there. That's why he looked directly at Assassin, if he merely felt Assassin's presence, he wouldn't know exactly where he is, just that he's nearby. This was a physical indication, not a magical.

In F/SN it also converted semen into magical beams... which beats D&D anyday
More like a mass murdering pedo-bear (as any revered leader), but yeah, this GAR hulk is the legend, right Poor Waver, let's hope your aniki won't read his own history, and remember his past-time activities |

Kiritsugu just had a hunch and decided to look there again and happened to spot Assassin. However, as you say, there's no real reason Assassin had to be materialized unless that's a requirement for Kirei to see through its eyes. |

I don't get why people remain so keen on comparing the Fate heroic spirits to the original mythologies and pointing out the disparities between the two, sometimes implying those somehow detract from the Fate characters in some way. Both Nasu and Urobuchi have said numerous times that their policy is to use the original mythology just as a basic foundation for ideas. A mere surface basis, if you will, for their own and ultimately new and unique characters. You'd think genderbent King Arthur would make that obvious enough, but for some reason it seems people sometimes still expect a rigorous level of historical/mythological accuracy, which I personally feel would just make the characters much too predictable and boring. It's a lot more interesting seeing new twists on old tales rather than just seeing them plainly rehashed all over again.

is "Gae" a surname for something?
The F/Z Lancer has two spears with "Gae" in its name, and the F/SN Lancer has a Gae Blog. How many spears did Gae make? lol. Also, Sabre seems to be a fan of getting hit by them. Waver's expression when Rider just yells out his identity was great, but I liked Lancer's reaction to it as well.

Very well animated battle. Though I guess because a lot of it was just learning information and the two investigating each other, it wasn't exciting, despite the good animation. Kind of unfortunate.
And Saber... I got the perfect plan --> Gets hurt Hmph, I don't need this armor, sheds it (so cooool) --> Gets hurt We be r And Kiriya-Oji-san is going to finally make a reappearance? I thought maybe he died and was left to rot in the garbage dump, shown in the OP. (kidding) Yamada-Assassin... If you're an assassin, try hiding better. Or is it all just as planned?!

the funniest part is how Archbald also urges Lancer to stop having fun and start being serious.
It's like Lancer and Saber are just sparring buddies in this fight, not going for killing the opposition. They are both just doing chip damage at the beginning, testing out each other. If not for the fact that Santa arrives they could have gone into a full on fight.

As for Sabre she has very high resistance to physical and magical damage so she can take calculated risks, that's when she calculates correctly... obviously not the case with the latest episode Quote:
Anyway, I have no bloody clue what servant he summoned and then turned him insane... given the ED I go with Lancelot or The Black Night (Monty Python's anyone :ihoh, unless it is The Loch Ness Monster, and that knight is just for show in front of the loch sorry, lake Last edited by Malkuth; 2011-10-23 at 00:18.
