Let's all talk story about a show where a guy who literally ends a fight with one strike. Let's also put down anyone who dares complain about what made this "story" watchable. The g-o-d d-a-m-n animated motion. For the love of god, this is soooooooo unfair. What story? There is no freaking story in this show. The purpose of each episode is to go through the motion of filling up that 20 minute slot so it can set up that brief, amazing moment of animated movement for our hage-man to showcase his ONE PUNCH. Like that kid in Twenty One Pilot said so appropriately after his car radio is stolen: I ponder of something great My lungs will fill and then deflate They fill with fire Exhale desire I know it's dire My time today I have these thoughts So often I ought To replace that slot With what I once bought 'Cause somebody stole My car radio And now I just sit in silence Yes, I just sit in silence. Okay, no more complaining from me.

Then there's the rather absurd claims such as there being no story. Or that people are apparently being put down for not liking the animation. Or that the animation was the only thing that made it watchable. Using words that imply an objective and absolute fact, rather than a subjective and personal opinion. Not to mention how dramatic you're being about it. With all this absurdity it's hard to tell if you're being serious or not. ======== I loved this episode. Seeing this encounter between Saitama and Garo was something I did not see coming. I loved that. Also the fact that Saitama is so strong that a big mean looking menacing guy just registers to him as a petty mugger is just funny. |

Mumen Rider actually stuck his nose in where it didn't belong in this episode. There is a psychopathic killer actively hurting people, and Mumen Rider stops Tank Top? This was One spitting in the face of righteous characters who put up moral speeches for the wrong reasons, and Mumen Rider paid the price for his naivety (and that's putting it nicely).

However the moment Garou has shown how dangerous he is even Mumen Rider himself joined the fight.

No, he is wrong in that he let his idealism get the better of him. He had insufficient information for the situation and acted upon that insufficient information. That was the point the author was trying to make and made him suffer for his actions.

Also, I'm gonna repeat what I said before, Tank Top Army ganging up on Garou was pretty much a lynch mob. Just like you claim that Mumen Rider had insufficient information so did the Tank Top Army. They had no way of knowing that he is the "villain of this season" instead of some random punk trying to show off by beating up heroes. Hell, Tanktop Master himself has admitted that Mumen Rider was right when he stopped him. And when Garou showed that he is a significant threat not only did Tanktop Master resume the fight, Mumen Rider joined in too. And that's when he got his a$$ kicked. In short, Mumen Rider didn't get beaten up because he stopped Tanktop Master but because he tried to fight Garou. Simple as that.

So there is a very simple cause/effect there. Mumen Rider's reason for stopping Tanktop Master doesn't change that. |

But that apart I don't think Tanktop Master would have won against Garou, whether Mumen Rider stopped him or not, and Garou intended to beat up Mumen Rider to begin with, so...

Mumen Rider was an idiot for interfering regardless of the reason. Here's the thing that doesnt' make any fucking sense to me. Garou beat up the flunkies and told Tank Top Master so how the hell didn't he realize who he was dealing with. That's sloppy on a hundred levels. The fact Saitama OHKO'd Garou just adds salt to a lot of wounds

You really need to self reflect before saying anyone else is wrong, to put it mildly. Garou was originally going to beat up Mumen Rider before Tank Top gang arrived. The beat down was only delayed by the Tank Top fight. Let me repeat. Mumen Rider was going to be beaten up regardless. And as so many other posters pointed out as well, he was naive to try and stop Tank Top Master from finishing someone who wanted to beat up Mumen Rider in the first place.

The hit he stopped clearly wouldn't have finished Garou, since it didn't even keep Mumen Rider down. And it seems rather evident that the second Garou's life was in danger, he would've busted out the moves like he did moments later anyway. |
