I'm not sure what to think of this series. I just read through everything that has been translated so far (56 chapters), and I find myself compelled and repulsed at the same time. For what it is, the story is intriguing, but the characters . . .

Kazumi has to be one of the most annoying characters I've come across. I dislike hot-and-cold characters as a general rule, but she flip-flops so much that I really just want her out of the picture at this point. Kotori is fairly useless apart from her being the MacGuffin (of the moment), Kuroha is as dense as a brick, and Murakami . . . well, Murakami is a bit of an insufferable know-it-all.

Can we have more melting characters and less crying, please?

So the untranslated manga is up to chapter 97? I just finished 57 and am waiting for more. So does any of the main characters die yet?

Ah man, well at least I know what to expect cause of Elfen Lied. It still sucks though when characters you get attached to die. I always wonder what goes through a mangakas head. Does he enjoy killing off his creations? Does he enjoy creating tragedies?

Has it been revealed what the third switch (the middle top one) does? Does it spawn a full-power alien that destroys everything in sight or did the lab staff lie and it is actually a way to safely eject the parasite thing?
