Actually, lots of background details are different in The Origin, which is why it has its own continuity, put aside from the original TV series and even the movies (which are more alike to the manga). |

The presentation makes it pretty clear that the four parts will all feature Char and Sayla.

-what AnimeChannel translated from what was said by the vice-president I don't know, I never read the novel before so could someone please tell me if there's more than enough content in the novel to be fleshed out over 4 OVA episodes? Anyway, they could always tell the origins and the course of the OYW from the perspective of Char and her sister. So maybe events depicted in the original Gundam before could be visually enhanced and they delve into the thoughts and feelings of Char and Sayla. This way they could establish an emotional bridge between important events before OYW and the war itself? |

Good for me!
And beside, who would stop they from adapt something else like Amuro 0082? Oh, and Artesia 0083. Wish that I could read it - maybe it will reveal some more about Operation Stardust. (the time hole is almost filled with C.D.A and the two Origin manga) |

Contrary to how some people feel, I am intrigued with the prospect of going deeper into the backstory of the Deikun & Zabi families. I mean, it’s the freaking events that started it all! How can I not be interested? And there’s shota Char & loli Sayla, a must watch for me .
If the absence of wall-to-wall action or a story told from the perspective of a kid turn you off, you might not be able to get past the first three episodes of Gundam 0080 and would miss a really good story (albeit a sad one).

I'm also interested in seeing Char's backstory animated. I just don't think it deserves four OVA's to do it .
The Guntank showing up in the preview implies that they'll be some action at least. I wouldn't be shocked if the first real battle between the Federation and Zeon in the OYW is animated, and it ends on the beginning of Operation V.

The poster looks very nice, and Char's Zaku looks beautiful .
Though I would never have expected these OVA's to have a comedic animal sidekick to hang around Char and Sayla. At least, that's what I think the cat in the poster implies .
