![]() Going out to eat or something would probably something everyone could agree on. My group ventured to an arcade once, but then we were all into some of the stuff there and it was a small enough group that we didn't splinter off too badly.

Convenience and planning are the two major headaches I've dealt with doing something similar to this in other places. Unless you were trying to form a plethora of gaming machines in one house and house mini-tournaments, in-house lans and so forth, it can get nauseating
![]() The idea is always cool though. I would like to meet other members of this new particular community (not this one here but eventually perhaps?) and hang out like the upcoming VGL perhaps. |

I've done this before. There was a little forum I used to go on for called...well, I forget. But it was based around Full Moon Wo Sashagite I think it's called? Whatever. But I was great friends with the people on there and almost everyone came to a get together and it was the most awkward thing ever. I didn't know who anyone was and no one wanted to talk.

It really depends on the people and the kind of forum it is. It was outside of my geographical area, but I think one car-related group got together once every month or two for a wrench meet. They all hung out and were pretty close... but if all conversation failed, then, y'know... someone needed a new car alarm installed or something. IMO you really have to have a lot of interests to make an online meet work. Meeting with people from ASuki and talking anime is boring -- we do that every day here. What else is going on in your life/the world in general? |

I think public viewing of anime could be quite funny. Reminds me, of drinking games, when character xy says z then... good for me I love to play the barkeeper.
Oh, but Animesuki is not localized enough and has a too large comunity, so things like that won't easily work. At best maybe a meeting of local Animesukianers. ![]() And after enough drinking game, the hardcore stuff like karaoke and DDR sets in.

i think its a great idea.. i mean usually im not one for setting up things online and what not.. then again its not like ive tried. i suppose it would be a good idea.. though it would have to be localized.. i really wouldnt mind cos im going to be free for the next 6 months lol.. though i havnt met any1 from where i live here.. which causes problems.
