Oh no. It's never late to kill Sakura off!

I was hoping way back in the Pain arc that Sasuke would show up during the destruction of Konoha Village and be like "Whoa hold the hell up, this is my mission....I'm an Avenger!"

He won't, the moment Naruto convinced Sasuke that he should focus his wrath on him first meant that the rest of Konoha was safe and sound from Sasuke. They might get a few wounds at best but anything more would be a failure for Naruto and we can't have that.

^Additionally, the only way they can or will get wounded is if they seek Sasuke out, something Naruto expressly forbid them to do...

What a shit chapter, Kishi basically recycling everything from tv fillers and past manga chapters. Absolutely no originality whatsoever and we still have to suffer from naruto's retarded and repeating inner monologues. Didn't his character get over this loneliness crap from part 1. Yet Kishi thinks we don't have enough of it. It just proves that Kishi has no idea where he wants to take this manga. He has his head in the clouds if he even remotely thinks that this is passable material.

Lol. You can't say Kishi doesn't know where to take his manga when he constantly bashes us with the same themes over the head until we are sick of them.

The manga is all going to be about taking the hate out of the ninja world. That's been Naruto's goal ever since the Pain fight. That's going to be Naruto's key to finally becoming Hokage in this manga.

kinda wish sasuke would go darth vader and go ninja hunting. it would be kinda badass.

start off slow....have ino be killed off screen and have it based with a lighting attack of high caliber. then ten ten is killed by a shadow figure.

then.......lee dies....but this time we know who it is via chidori through the chest.

but sadly it wont ever happen as he will "kill" naruto first. which we all know wont happen as he wont kill anyone.

Kumogakure is made of barbarians. They kept killing the Jinchuuriki who could not control the Hachibi and sacrificed many ninja... this is just nuts. Naruto's a lucky guy.

And when will that happen? Another 4 years after were treated with rehashed melodrama accompanied by Kishi's pathetic planning?

Kishimoto himself admitted in his recent interview that he doesn't really plan ahead. He just sort of knows how it's supposed to go and just wings it from there. Not particularly well planned.

What's funny about the current theme in part 2 is that this theme was never even mentioned in part 1 which was about bonds and friendship.
Now its just LOLZ this world is full of hatred, no one ever cared about me, ninja's dont care who they kill anymore etc.

Bee endured the same type of treatment that Naruto had. I admire his ability to stay jolly.

Alot of successful sequels have themes completely different from the first in the series. It's actually harder and more riskier to change up the theme because you run the risk of alienating the series from what people originally loved it for but the point of it is to allow new, interesting plots to open and also allow some new fans to recognise themselves with the series. Part 1 is also different because the manga's fans have grown up so kishi is trying to allow the series to grow along these fans. The last thing you want is for the once loyal fans to come on these forum sites week in and week out just to laugh at and bash on the manga that they once loved eg. Bleach.

There's absolutely nothing confusing about it. It's clear as the blue sky.

Allow me to summarize:

- there are successful sequels with completely different themes
- it's hard and risky to change the theme from a prequel to a sequel (because people want the exact same experience once again - they loved it)
- it's yet good in order to create a new and (more) interesting plot
- and to get new fans (a new target group) along side the fans a series already has
- Naruto Part 1 differs from Part 2 because the fans (audience) have grown up (ten years have passed)
- the author does not want to disappoint the loyal fans and come here (or to other forums) to comment on how bad the current chapters or episodes are
-> the author wants to "serve us" a good story (that's his intention)

This has also happened to Stargate lately, and while I love it, there are many haters out there, because of the reasons you mentioned. SGU is great.

@Topic:
This chapter was really kind of boring. It basically told us that B's past was bad, and it told us again, that Naruto's past was bad. And at the end for some reason, B becomes friends with Naruto? Did I get that right?
Anyway, the overall storyline is pretty good at the moment, and I hope this whole training session won't take too long, so that we can finally get started with the war.

How is part 1 different from part 2 in the current context?? How is not changing the plot from part 1 going to appeal to the fans?? I'm getting contradictory messages here.

and the problem is bleach isnt the story its the waiting game we have been playing. 3 years on 1 arc is just wayyyy to long to focus on.

1 year you might get away with.....but when its on 3 pushing 4....you seriously rethink your love for that manga when the lead character has gained crazy ability, but no substance. no soul.

naruto as a character is very clear. he wants to be respected and loved by his peers and by his village. he wants to be hokage and stop the hate in the world, wants to prove to his friends he can save even the most fallen friend. sasuke is his greatest friend and rival. he saves sasuke, he saves himself.

itchigo is well....he wants to save his friends.....does he? im not even sure, even after 403 chapters, his motivations and actions are never really that clear.
