Well, her mom was when she talked about it with her, though leaving out all the magic. Her parents knew that was something she decided for herself and needed to do. In order for her to follow through, they had to let her go. Of course, I doubt they knew how dangerous the task was, and if they did, would they have still let her go? That is still up in the air.

They had to of figured out at some point. You wouldnt think the TSAB would employ her without her mothers consent, but they always were sketchy. And it's still the mother and fathers duty to see what their daughter is up to. The way I see it, they wanted her to make her own choices, regardless how dangerous they may have been.

Character popularity poll. Results are as expected (laugh) Note: In Osaka, it seems Reinforce was 3rd instead. ("Although many people liked Hayate's Kansai dialect, it appears in Kansai people were very moved by Reinforce, therefore she was ranked higher than Hayate there") Favorite scene poll. 1) Garden of Time (?) 2) Final Battle 3) Reinforce's departure (When she dies I guess) 4) Nanoha's fight against the Book of Darkness 5) Transformation scene Notable mention: Nanoha vs. Vita, Nanoha and Fate's reunion |

Much appreciated Mow_Yun <3
"1) Garden of Time (?)" It's the dream scene where Fate meets Precia, Alicia and Linith. @Keroko: My Japanese is minimal at best, so I wasn't able to pick up on that. I recall a few scenes with Yuuno where he was talking about something, prior to seeing him again during the final battle. Outside of the Defense Program being shown killing the Knights rather than the Lieze Twins who disguised themselves as Nanoha and Fate, it all seemed very similar to me in execution.

Anime movies are almost universally non-canon. Very few exceptions to that rule. The Nanoha movies do not fall into the exceptions.

Since movie differences to the original series were brought up, I thought I'd clarify that the book coming to life in the A's series, wasn't random at all. It activated at midnight of her birthday. That can't be coincidence. Thus, Hayate probably reached some trigger threshold within the book's programming, that caused it to hold off until the new master was old enough (although it had begun to consume her much earlier).
I won't comment on much else, other than to say Yuuno's contribution was fairly important. Graham was fairly critical as well, as he was the one funding Hayate's expenses, and thus allowed her to live on her own. I don't know how the movie plans to address this, or whether it plans to just ignore it and hope we won't be paying attention. But then again, we knew the movie would have to cut too much (especially to give Fate more pointless fluff time). The first movie did the same, cutting important stuff about Nanoha that they could have expanded upon. |
