Serve him right. I hope that he overworked to death and at the same time, get rusty and then got removed by Azami.

Roxis, it's not as if the groundwork hasn't been laid for such an event to happen, which a few over here felt to be a D.E.M moment.

Under the power hierarchy chart, they're only below the director, and I'm sure you've noticed they seem to be the de facto "government body", rather than be categorized under the student population.

So when such a power has already been previously bestowed upon them, for ages, and Sen didn't even object to it, nor put up a fight, why do you sound surprised?

Your personal feelings are clouding your judgment, it seems.
Like i said before PSY
i did not against the elements in Tootsuki
what i did not like is the author decision to pushed the unnecessary element into it.

They called it a Survivor Hunt and it's basically Azami's Cooking Army along with Azami's E10.

Given the number, does that mean it wouldn't just be E10 but with underlings challenging the clubs as well? Assuming Shougeki will be fought fair and square.

Also, whats the flower or Fruit the Central Badge is using?

So, does anyone want to predict the outcome of the hunt?
Given Azami's way of doing, i am guessing a full wipe for the remaining clubs or less than 10% clubs left.

Azami is both Big Boss and Major Zero combined. He upholds Jou-senpai's legacy, strives to carry out Jou's "will" like Big Boss. But considering how he came too far with his twisted ideals to the point of making it big by razing the previous Tootsuki to the ground and transforming it anew with his own image - under his dear senpai's name, he plays straight as Major Zero.

Know this, folks. No good come from hero worship...

So, basically, you're saying you're not happy with the amount of power and say that a group of stuck-up kids in the academy has, so much so they can oust the director at will, through a majority vote.

Which in turn implies having politics and power-struggle at play aren't your cup of tea, and you'd rather see it revert back to the usual school setting and activities.

Amirite?

Did people seriously thought this story would be stuck to the daily routine of activities, tournaments and occasional shokugeki up to the end?

Perhaps you should read chapter 1 again, and particularly, that secret to become a good chef Soma didn't hear out because he hung up prematurely.

Exactly, more or less that's what i meant
though i would tolerance it if the author used different implementation in his way to put in.

Shogukeki no Soma is a cooking manga.

To be fair, this is cooking manga, not a fighting manga where the MC can blow all the evil people with kamehameha. Introducing politic and power struggle between the adults in the non-fantasy, slice of life manga is unnecessary. I mean, can you really shallow the whole thing of Azami's empire which have thousands of minions/supporters and solid financial got destroyed in one cooking match and the contestant is just a 15 years old kid? It would take a lot of suspension of belief for that to happen.

Only if it happens, which allow me to doubt it will.

Jouichirou's words had its obvious hidden meaning. We didn't know at first because we didn't have enough clues, but now we have them we can tell what he actually meant. He's really at the center of all these entwinted occurrences.

Soma's purpose that he doesn't know is to "free" Erina, not to destroy Azami's reign; that is not his goal, nor the goal of any student in Tootsuki.

Azami's castle will crumble on its own. Now what matters is to survive through this, just like they have been doing since the first days, but this time with added difficulty spike and thougher challenges.

that makes sense regarding Senzaemon's(actually Jouchirou) statement that only "Souma and his generation are able to save Erina."

@Alpha Knight: This is still a Shounen manga, though, which would mean that Souma would have to at least try to go against Azami's regime by himself, even if he does fail. And you said it yourself: his main role is that of saving Erina, but he himself doesn't know that yet.

And speaking of Jouichirou's involvement in all this, I can't wait to know of it all.

Jou's role is obvious if you ask me. Senzaemon sent Jou to Tootsuki because although it wasnt as extreme she was still caught up in Azami's training. My guess is after Azami left Senzaemon hired Jou hoping to break her of the habits azami ingrained in her head. Unfortunately it didnt work very well. Souma is Senzaemons chance to save his daughter and knowing about her affection for saiba makes it all better.

By bringing Jou the only managed to make an unfinished shield for her. She never faced her dad, she never had the chance to oppose him and fight for what she truly wants, they just put something else in her mind. We can consider it may helped her, but seeing how it just fade off after Asami appeared, the only solution is for her to stand up and face reality.

Worst case scenario, it'll be shocking to see that it was Azami was murdered Yukihira.

Actually, now that you mention it, I wouldn't really put it past him to do that. It's just more "Senpai, notice me!" gone wrong even further and in a really weird direction.
