Seems to me they are downplaying it (like the russian attack on the nordstream pipeline, which is esential infraestructure). But remember, once is bad luck, twice is coincidence, thrice is a coordinated enemy operation. |

They're assigned at either Russian MOD or at Main Computation Centre of the General Staff or GVC.

When might Ukraine run out of artillery and how many rounds can the US give to Ukraine?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drGQZ2KQMfo tl;dr literal sock puppet. The Allies (USA mostly) can supply Ukraine with artillery shells for about another year. What the video doesn't mention is that chances are that russia is running out of ammo faster and that is why they are so desperate for peace negotiations aka pause the conflict to get more ammo. Because the moment thy run out of ammo, their army is good as nonexistant, this is not dungeons & dragons when you can swing a sword week after week and that is good enough, artillery does not run on magic. The thing is, even if there is a pause in the conflict, with the sanctions in place there is no way russia can rebuild their military, they do not have the money nor the required technology in their own military complex, so for them "peace negotiations" also means "unilateral lifting of santions". But hey, lets suppose russians do get their cake and eat it, it will take many years for them to rebuild their ammo stokpile to pre-war levels, even the USA is running low on artillery ammo as it is and in the meantime russia would not doubt continue to hit critical Ukranian infraestructure to cripple their economy. |

You can bet that the very next day putin gets a ceasefire for his invasion in Ukraine, he will invade Kazakhstan and place the actual president's head on a pike on the public square. He can't win in Ukraine, but he can get a win elsewhere just in time for the farce he likes to call "elections".

US stopped Poland giving Ukraine MiG-29 jets in secret deal with China - media reports
"In particular, it was agreed that if the United States stopped the MiG deal, Beijing’s generals would do their best to defuse Putin’s nuclear threat at the operational level, Matthews wrote." See: https://news.yahoo.com/us-stopped-po...124100005.html |

Russia Planned To Attack Japan in 2021: Leaked FSB Letters
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-plan...etters-1762133 So, in a parallel reality it would have been Japan and not Ukraine on the receiving end of putin's long range artillery and missiles. |

Considering that Japan is a direct US ally with part of the Seventh Fleet stationed there, I don't see how well such an idea wouldn't lead to a massive amount of Russians on the receiving end of American retribution.

What might have been:
Vladimir Putin Wanted To ‘Attack’ Japan, Before He Chose To Invade Ukraine – Claims Alleged FSB Whistleblower "In the letter, the whistleblower alleges that in August 2021, Russia was seriously preparing for a localized military conflict with Japan. He suggested that Russia instead chose to launch an invasion inside Ukraine months later." "“They sort of swapped out Japan for Ukraine,” Sushko told Newsweek. “And both of them, right, they’re just insane. Just take the things that Russia was considering [before] attacking Japan; it’s insane, as is the fact that Russia attacked Ukraine is insane. It’s insanity.”" See: https://eurasiantimes.com/vladimir-p...-japan-before/ & https://www.newsweek.com/russia-plan...etters-1762133 |
