Just finished my third OC. Needs a lot of fine tuning though.
Spoiler for my third OC:
Basic Details Name: Sylvia Bannes Gender: Female Birthday: 20 July Home World: Mid-childa Age: 15
Physical Attributes Height: 5 feet 2” Weight: 43 kilos Eye colour: Brown Hair colour: Brown
Mage information Rank: 1st class Private Affiliations: Time-space Administration Bureau, 1039th air force unit Combat style: physical and magical binds, mid to long range combat Position: Full Back support Class: Mid type Mage Official Mage Rank: A- Colour of spell sigils: Silver Device: Yggdrasil (Intelligent Device) Specialization: long range support, bindings, and barriers Usual garb/wear: Ground force uniform
Device: Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil is probably one of the more if not the most unusual intelligent device out there, simply for the fact that it is a chain like throwing weapon with jewels on each end. The chains are black titanium and can magically stretch to lengths of up to 50 metres. The jewels at each end are diamond shaped rubies that move according to Sylvia’s will. Practical usage for the device would be as a kind of throwing chain type weapon and to physically bind opponents.
Storage mode:
Yggdrasil’s storage mode is a silver chain bracelet. As Sylvia is not able to speak, Yggdrasil sets up by mental activation.
Device mode:
Yggdrasil’s design is simple yet elegant, black steel chains with rubies attached to the ends. The chain is wound once around her waist but this is generally not necessary as the chain floats and acts according to her will, able to rush opponents at high speeds to attack or bind them.
Description/Background/History:
Born of Mid-childa, Sylvia is the child of ordinary Mid-childan civilians. Her parents wanted her to go to school, grow up, and live normally like most others despite her inability to speak since birth. But Sylvia found it all mundane and boring, and she wanted to experience an extraordinary life. A life of that is not possible by merely being a normal civilian. Against her parents’ wishes, she enlisted in one of the bureau’s air force academy as a trainee with the help of a relative who happened to be a trainer at the academy. She desired to be like a mage of the bureau that saves lives like what she saw on television all the time, and she desired to be able to speak to others through more than just hand signs. They found that her promising, and after the 2 year course at the academy she graduated at the age of 14 and was recruited to the air force unit 1039. There she met Jean, who would become her best friend, and Itsuki whom she would come to admire as an individual despite his many flaws.
Habits/Hobbies:
Loves music, though she can’t play any instruments herself. She feels that music is a wonderful expression of one’s self. Likes to twirl her hair with her fingers whenever she is thinking, similar to Eleanor’s habit of nibbling on the ends of her hair locks. Likes taking naps under a tree after lunch hours whenever she isn’t scheduled for trainings. When alone, she listens to music on a device she has which stores them by the hundreds.
Personality/Behaviour:
Sylvia is shy, quiet, and doesn’t like to stand out. Not being able to communicate with anything other than sign language for years before she learn telepathy as a mage, her communications skills are a bit lacking and she doesn’t really know what to say most of the time.
Though she can communicate telepathically with others who can also do so, she still talks a lot less than most people would. However, that isn’t the case with people who she had gradually warmed up to like Jean and Itsuki. Jean understands her best so gradually Jean became sort of like her spokesperson whenever Sylvia didn’t feel like talking.
Awfully strong willed and stubborn, she is hard to convince otherwise once she makes a decision, which is why not even her parents could stop her once she decided she wanted to be a mage.
However she is easily embarrassed, and some people can’t help but tease her just to see her expressions. Itsuki shamelessly says, “Cute girl who’s shy, quiet, and who doesn’t talk much. Her embarrassed expressions are an ever source of moe-ness~” Whatever that means, the other clerks in their unit really don’t know.
Professional Background:
Sylvia joined the 1039th air force squad after she graduated from the air force academy near central. She was paired with Jean, whom they see as the ideal person to cover for Sylvia who is a support mage, and Sylvia’s spells allow her to capture or slow opponents long enough for Jean to move in close for the kill.
Fighting style:
A long-range support specialist whose main specialty is binding spells, Sylvia has honed her binding spells to a level where many consider as being an expert. She supplements magical binds with prison/cage spells and physical binding with Yggdrasil. She can also use Yggdrasil to attack by throwing the dagger-like ends of the chain towards the opponents. The chains can also bend and move according to her will, making it very flexible and can even do slight changes in direction even in mid flight. Physically weak, she prefers not to be directly involved in combat and instead hangs back and provides range support.
Barrier Jacket:
Her barrier jacket is made up of a black shirt with white lining patterns, bright red skirt, black long socks, bright red gloves, a pair of brown leather boots, and white hooded cape. The shirt is sleeveless and the skirt’s length is quite short, not even reaching her knees.
Defensive spells: Iron Defence: A powerful barrier that can take quite a beating. (Strength: AA, Radius: 3 metres)
Round Shield: Standard bureau mage shield type spell. Has great durability. (Strength: A)
Support/Boost/Mobility spells: Flight: Although Sylvia is part of the air force, combat is not her forte and so she doesn’t work on aerial combat. However she trains herself for evasion in the air, something she is quite good at and she always has Jean as her backup.
Area search: A spell used to read magical energies within an area. (Radius: 1 kilometre)
Delayed Bind: A bind spell that captures target that moves within a certain range. (Strength: AA, Radius: 3 metres)
Struggle Bind: A spell known to many bureau officers. The reason for its popularity is its ability to cancel spells focused on the user’s self, such as transformation and boosts spells. (Strength: AA, Effect: Cancels existing spells on target)
Diamond Cage: A prison spell that can be used to encage opponents. The cage is quite durable and can effectively imprison less powerful opponents till it is dispelled. Of course it isn’t that effective on stronger opponents who can overpower the cage with their magic. (Strength: A+, Targets: one person)
You know the feeling some times when you feel that there is something wrong or missing, but you just can't quite grasp what that something is?
There just seems to be something wrong or missing with this particular OC I just made. Its probably more the latter than the former...I think. If anyone can point anything out it'll be a great help.
I find myself getting a bit of the main vibe; the one thing I note is a total lack of offensive moves. Being weak on offense is one thing but looking at her profile she’d have serious issues causing any damage without an attacker as back up. That could make her pretty hard to write with in a fight as binds seems to mostly be somewhat shorter ranged and mostly breakable. Also For someone so specialized she comes off as a bit weak in her one area to me with such an intense focus I’d think she’d have rather more or stronger binding or de-buffs.
One idea that comes to me might be to add to her a bit and build her as something of a “debuffer/tripper” by giving her some spells that not only physically restrain people but affect their magic as well. For instance something that can mess with energy gathering to weaken spells, or screw with and redirect spells, or even not bind completely but just weaken them somehow like weakening attacks or slowing speed. Also some kinds of damage over time spells related to holding the target in one place and slowly inflicting damage might fit and give her some offensive options in a fight.
Basiclly what I'm thinking is that for a character like this to be useful and interesting in a battle you want them to be REALLY annoying to the enemy (*grumbles something unmentionable about well played Mesmers*), but her current spell list doesn’t seem to have the depth or range to do that effectively at the moment.
At least that’s what I can see her personality and history and such looks good to me.
Edit: Though I'd would be careful not to make her TOO quiet and to focus on her thoughts from time to time and such. If she’s quiet and doesn’t say allot and you don't show her POV often you could get into the issue of her becoming boring scenery.

Hmm...a debuffer huh? Do those exist in nanohaverse? Good suggestion though, thanks a lot. Gonna work around with a few ideas I got.
Alright, then. Since this next post contains massive texts and risky material, I advice all of you to prepare your tissue box.
DIARY OF A WINDTALKER
SUMMER ARC SPECIAL, CHAPTER V
Spoiler for epic bluecheeism #1:
“After two days of outdoor and indoor activities, what do we get from this summer holiday? Nothing! I mean NOTHING! And with two days remaining, we ought to do what every holiday-goer is compelled to accomplish! It’s bathing in the hot spring! Do you listen to me, people? IT’S HOT SPRING! Therefore we are obliged to visit one of Mid-Childa’s best natural hot springs! Yes, ladies and gentlemen! IT’S ONSEN TIME! OOH-RAH!”
Hikki and Freya glared at Poseidon. “Who the hell are you talking to, Poseidon?” Hikki sneered.
“Seriously, Poseidon, you suck,” Freya jeered.
Poseidon gagged. The tiger was at loss of words to explain. Moreover, its one-man show made everyone in the hilltop picnic site stare at it in suspicious manner. Even Takeru and Aura gave Poseidon the look of “what do you think you’re doing?”, and Poseidon was immersed in the lake of shame.
“Onsen, huh?” Nove pondered and looked at Cinque. Unaware that she was being watched, Cinque continued arranging the picnic table with E’s help. Nove suddenly cackled at the thought of “doing this and that” with her revered Oneesama and blushed in furious manner.
Lutecia glanced at the Number. “Baaka.”
“Sheesh. You’re weirdo. Come, Freya.” Hikki and Freya left the motionless Poseidon and approached Frieda who was helping Nanoha with the meal. “Ms. Frieda, Miss Nanoha, can we help you with anything?”
“Oh, both of you don’t have to,” Frieda uttered. “We’re almost done with these dishes, actually.”
“But you could give us some extra hands on other works,” Nanoha said and gestured toe youngsters to a pile of plates at the other table. “Can you help us arranging the plates before the rest of them arrive?”
“Sure.”
The couple left to arrange the cutleries. Frieda and Nanoha chuckled at the intimate closeness of Hikki and Freya. “They remind me of one of my friends and his girlfriend,” Nanoha uttered.
“Who might that person be, hmm?” Frieda guessed.
Nanoha giggled. “He was supposed to come with us, but for some reasons he had to attend a meeting with the Wind Talkers at Britannia,” she said and grumbled afterwards. “That Hikki… I only wish he can learn to respect us women…”
(Hikki sneezed. “Cold, Yutaro?” Freya asked.
“I don’t think so,” the boy answered and shuddered.)
“I bet he’s feeling alone out there right now,” Frieda wondered.
“He is, though,” Nanoha said. “Widuri-chan is here. Fuuko-chan is here. Even I’m here. I just don’t want to hear news of him chasing after other women when the three of us are here.”
(Hikki shivered. “Damn it. I heard what you’re saying!”)
“Let me guess,” Frieda said and teasingly elbowed Nanoha. “You seem to be in deep admirations towards him, don’t you?”
Nanoha blushed. So did Hikki, who was forced to stop working after Freya found that he was breaking down from “heat stroke”. Frieda noticed Nanoha’s uneasy reaction and chuckled. “Come on. Tell me. It’s just between us. We’re woman, right?” she said.
“Well… I… you see… ettou…” Nanoha fiddled with her fingers, too shy to tell the gunslinger woman the exact truth. “Mou! Frieda-san, are you trying to set me up?” she squealed.
“Not really,” Frieda answered and looked at Hikki and Freya, the former was fanned by Poseidon who was heard shouting for medical help. She giggled when Hikki was knocked out cold after Widuri gave him a healing embrace (the Unison Device apologized for what she did).
“Oneechan!”
Frieda and Nanoha looked down at Fuuko and Caro. “Yes, Fuuko dear, what is it?” Nanoha asked.
“When are we going to have onsen?” Fuuko asked.
“How about tonight?” Frieda suggested. “I’ve reserved the hot spring for our use. We can go there whenever we want along our holiday here.”
“Yaay! Onsen!” Fuuko cheered and gave Caro a very tight hug. “We’re going to have onsen! Fuuko loves onsen!”
Spoiler for epic bluecheeism #2:
// after several hours of time-skip //
Hikki was as restless as ever. He had worked all day long during the picnic, and he was in the urgent need for refreshment. The rest of the children were also tired, having had spent the remaining day playing at the beach. At one corner of the room, Aura was feeding the distraught Takeru with watermelon slice; at another corner, Erio was surrounded by the likes of Cinque, Nove, Lutecia, Annabelle and Caro as they gave him a very angry look for reasons only God knows. Kha was fanning himself while sitting outside, eating watermelon with Vita and Signum. Fuuko was with her antics as usual, chasing after yarn balls and making Erio blush at the bubbly sight (it, too, made him eat Caro’s annoyed fist). Freya was sitting next to him, peacefully dozing upon his shoulder, tired.
(It was also supposed to be the children’s turn to use the hot spring but they decided to go there after dinner. Again, Erio blushed at the thought of surrounded by young and beautiful women -- he managed to eye on Aura for a while before Takeru gave him the look of a hungry, angry wolf.)
“Damn,” Hikki murmured and outstretched his arms. “This is one hectic day.” He glanced at Poseidon who was conspiring something with Zafira, E and Arf. The tiger noticed the boy and waved in silly manners to him. “Stupid. I need to go now.”
“Where are you going?” Freya asked when Hikki shrugged her off.
“To the hot spring,” he sighed and grabbed the towel. “I need to take a quick bath before dinner.” He noticed everyone inside the room stared at him strangely due to the statement. “What?”
Poseidon stepped in front of him, arms spread wide as if it would not let him proceed. “You don’t know what lies ahead of you,” it spoke (Zafira, E and Arf nodded to agree).
“Look, tiger,” Hikki hissed and prodded Poseidon’s chest. “I need a bath, and you aren’t going to step in my way. Or is it because you did something to the bamboo screen, didn’t you?”
“No! Of course not! I wouldn’t do such a devious thing!” Poseidon replied. Hikki ignored the tiger and continued walking towards the hot spring. “Yutaro! Wait! You know the ladies are in there, don’t you?” Poseidon shouted.
Hikki turned back to the tiger. “I thought they already used the hot spring,” he insisted.
Poseidon grabbed his shoulders. “Listen up, Yutaro. If you go there right now, you are in for the worst disaster you ever imagine.”
“Shut up,” Hikki said and brushed the paws off. “You just want to peek on the woman yourself.”
“For this once, listen to me!” Poseidon pleaded. “You mustn’t go there!”
“SUPREME GIBSON BUSTER!!!!”
Poseidon was launched into the air, piercing through the many layers of ceilings and floors before it disappeared in the starry sky. “Stupid tiger…” Hikki mumbled, his fist tingling in pain after delivering the hard-hitting uppercut, and headed towards the hot spring’s entrance door. “I just need to have some quick bath and…”
He stopped.
The pool was indeed occupied! And the women were all cloth-less, too!
(Beyond the corner, Zafira, Vita, Signum, Freya, Aura, Takeru, Kha, Annabelle, Caro, Lutecia and Erio peeked at him and silently cackled, with the exception of Freya who was fuming in jealously.
“We’re very sorry, Yutaro…” Zafira mumbled, hands making Buddha’s gestures and eyes crying waterfall. “We tried to tell you that Poseidon planned all this, but…”
“You and Poseidon planned this, didn’t you?” Aura asked.
The wolf stooped its head. “I’m sorry…”)
To make matters worse, Hayate was seen doing physical examination onto Widuri and the Unison Device was moaning for help, her facial expression a mixture of bliss and distress. Hikki blushed at the sight of his Servant crying for help, even as Hayate laughingly balanced her loads in her hands.
“What in the world is this atrocity?!”
The women noticed his yell. Hikki was struck in horror and immediately rushed back in. “I’m sorry! I didn’t know there’s already someone else!” he shouted from behind the sliding door. He waited, and heard devious giggles instead. “I told you! It was an accident! Poseidon didn’t tell me the hot spring’s occupied!”
“Yutaro…”
“Like I said, I didn’t mean to walk in!”
“Yutaro-kun…”
“I’m terribly sorry for interfering! I won’t tell anyone else! I swear!”
“Yu… Ta… Ro… kun…”
“Just… let me go and…”
A pair of arms seized his body from the behind, completely rendering him speechless and turning him pale white. “What’s the matter, Yutaro? Are you afraid to join us?” Nanoha asked.
Hikki’s face turned red. “But it’s not polite for a boy to join women in open bath!” he insisted. “I’ll just wait for all of you to finish your turn.”
The Ace giggled and tightened her arms around his body. Hikki shivered in fear, because he could feel her breasts comfortably pressed against his back (it was fortunate for him to wear kimono, though, or he’d suffer from involuntary hormone uprising). It was not the kind of treatment he ever expected to have, and he was caught between enjoying it and resisting it.
“Miss Nanoha…”
“Yes, Yutaro-kun?” Nanoha asked.
“Is it alright?” he mumbled.
Nanoha nodded. “We won’t do anything weird to you. We just want to give you a bit of back scrubbing. All. Of. Us,” hotly she whispered.
Hikki twitched. “You mean… you, Miss Fate, Miss Hayate, Miss Keroko, Miss Widuri, Miss Ginga, Ms. Carim, Miss Shamal and Ms. Frieda are…” The boy was knocked out cold, held tightly between Nanoha’s arms before he slipped onto the floor.
Nanoha looked at Hikki’s blissful face. “Looks like you couldn’t resist the invitation, ne?”
Spoiler for epic bluecheeism #3:
“Now, Yutaro, stay still and let me wash your back for you.”
“Y-yes, Miss Fate…”
Hikki sighed. He never thought to have the golden opportunity of sharing the same hot spring with the most gorgeous women he had ever come across. He dared not looking at them, fearing that he would stain the water with blood, fearing that he would spoil the rather good time he was having. (Widuri, Ginga, Hayate, Keroko, Frieda and Carim had finished their turn, and Fate and Nanoha were the only women left to finish the job.)
“Permission to speak, Miss Fate.”
“Yes, Yutaro?”
Hikki gulped. “Why are you and everybody else having interests towards me? I’m just a little kid, and…”
Fate giggled and poured water down his body. “Oh, really? Well, you seem to have fun watching us all the time with your camera,” she said and stepped aside off as to let Nanoha take her turn.
“Besides, Yutaro-kun, you and your naughty eyes can’t help staring at Nanoha-chan and Widuri-chan, can you?” Hayate guessed. “You so remind me of Hikki, you know. Always with his evil chance to ogle his precious Servant.”
“Hayate-sama!” Widuri squealed in embarrassment.
Hikki blushed. “Is it wrong?! It’s normal for a boy to…” He noticed Nanoha laughing at his miserable attempt to make excuses, and he submerged his head in shame. “Sorry…”
Nanoha giggled. “It’s alright. You’re just a little boy, so don’t be too tensed. Just let all tensions to go,” she said and massaged his shoulders. “There. Relax a bit. Let your mind be freed. Pretend none of us are here, and let the warm air cover your body…”
Hikki slowly closed his eyes. “Miss Nanoha…”
“Yes, Yutaro-kun?”
He shook his head. “No. I just thought I want to call you…”
The slide door was opened. Everybody turned their sight to the newcomer. It was Freya, and she looked as if she was not satisfied with what the women were doing to her boyfriend.
“F-Freya?! What the hell are you doing here?” Hikki asked.
“Yutaro…”
Without even letting him answer, Freya took off her towel, and Hikki’s eyes bulged two inches out of their socket at the explicitly delirious fan service. “You must let me scrub your back, too…” she murmured and walked into the water.
Hikki’s ears burned. “But… but why in the world…!”
“Because I’m your lover,” Freya said with a deep blush (Hikki turned from bright red to pale white at the revelation; the women gasped at the confession). “As your girlfriend, I have every right to please him.”
Nanoha moved away from the horror-stricken Hikki. “Well, then, have your time.”
“Thank you, Miss Nanoha…”
Slowly Freya approached Hikki. The rest of the women murmured something, giggling to see Hikki’s panicked reaction to the voluntary service. Hayate and Keroko, especially, silently rooted for Freya, while Widuri and Ginga blushed brightly at the thought of what the girl was going to do.
Freya halted. “You must let me…” she spoke. “Or I’ll cry…”
Hikki returned from his comatose. “Cry? In place like this? HELL NO!” He immediately stood up, forgetting the fact that he was now without a piece of string on his body; thankfully the fog covered some parts). “I won’t let you cry! Ever!”
“Will you?” Freya asked.
Hikki clenched a fist. “With this knuckle, I will pierce through the heavens and beyond tomorrow for you!”
He paused. He noticed all the women were staring at him in shock. It took him a few seconds before he realized his actual condition and quickly dived into the water. “I DIDN’T MEAN TO HARASS ALL OF YOU!” he screamed inside the water.
“Yutaro is quite a healthy boy, isn’t he?” Fate asked. “Reminds me of Erio.”
“And he looks quite cute when he blushes, too,” Keroko added.
Freya took no attention of the ladies and seated behind Hikki. “Yutaro…” she murmured his fake name and pressed her body against his back. “Do you really love me?”
Hikki twitched. “Freya… why are you asking me that question? You’ll only embarrass me in front of these ladies!”
Freya ignored him and continued pressing her chest against him (and making him jolt). “You must… tell me…”
“I… I…”
“I love you with all my heart…” she mumbled and wrapped her arms about his upper body. “If you do love me, then you must let me serve you…” (Widuri blushed bright at the mention of “serve” and hid her burning face behind the bucket). “Yutaro…”
Hikki could answer no more. Overwhelmed by the amount of information that bombarded his mind, and the immensely intimate physical contact, the boy got knocked out and sank into the steamy water. Freya got panicked and shouted his name repeatedly after she brought him to the surface.
“Looks like we’ve gone a bit too far,” Frieda uttered.
“I can’t help it when it’s just a boy,” Carim added.
Spoiler for actual truth:
Outside the perimeter, Poseidon, Zafira, Erio and E exchanged high-fives. “Mission accomplished!” Poseidon announced in whispers. “Now that Freya is occupied with that kid, we can now proceed with our next plan.”
“I’ll kill myself after this…” Zafira moaned and cried manly waterfall tears. Erio did the same and patted his wolf friend’s shoulder.
“I didn’t know hot spring watching is this fun,” E noted.
The trio felt a murderous sensation coming from behind them. They turned around, and saw themselves looking into the eyes of an angry Aura and pissed Takeru.
“You think you can ogle Oneechan that easily, eh?” Aura spoke.
“I’ll kill you if you ever lay a finger upon Frieda…” Takeru murmured.
Poseidon, Erio, E and Zafira gulped. “Takeru… Aura… can we talk?” Poseidon offered.
Hmm...a debuffer huh? Do those exist in nanohaverse? Good suggestion though, thanks a lot. Gonna work around with a few ideas I got.
Well I’d tend to think that if you can buff someone up (various sorts of boost spells senn) you can bust them down too, equal and opposite reactions and all that.
Man, busy busy busy today Might have to Blitz my way through the backlog

Spoiler for Minea's Diaries:
[Minea]
830 Hours
The body numbing drugs wore through her system finishing their tranquil effects on her physical state. Drowsy eyes opened only to be glared at by bright, white light shinning on her body. Minea tugged her arms feeling them raised above her head mounted into place. Weakened pull of her legs found a similar state to her arms; stuck with in an unusual machine. Her conscious returning to her, Minea glanced above and below her finally recognizing where she was. She hated this part of the testing.
The machine Minea was attached to was rather large and buried deep with in the facility. Four generators were attached to each width side of the machine. Ten feet wide, twenty feet long, and one story tall, the machine held a primarily box construction. The area Minea was held in; the center was a circle with oval restraints covering her hands and feet. The circle was attached to a square boarder against the rest of the machine generating the magic energy to the restraints.
Minea still wore the clothing they had ordered her dressed in. Her tail was unrestricted, cotton balls placed into each of her feline ears, an IV into her left arm, and monitoring devices placed on various vital points of her body; they couldn’t let their experiment die after all. The control center of the device laid to the left of Minea; a wide screen, computer entrée board, three slots for chemicals and magical enhancements, and a second screen to check vital signs. The scientist at the control glanced behind him to a darkened wall, high above a clear window staring down at the lab room. With a nod of his head, he pressed the button activating the machine.
Minea squinted her eyes trying to see past the bright lights that blocked her vision of the scientists and the room. She tried to make out the many figures and outlines beneath her, but this would end shortly. A sharp turn of her head upwards she caught the first wave of energy flash through her body from the machine causing a shrill shriek to tear from her throat. Each surge of energy went swept through her in waves increasingly stronger and stronger with each one. There was no chance to fall unconscious; the magic was too powerful to even let her die.
[Celesti]
High above the experimentation room, in an observation deck, Celesti watched down at the experiment alone. Around her holographic screens displayed Minea’s situation, vital signs, magic readings, and results of the Logia inside of the cat girl. Behind her, silhouettes of ten men and woman appeared in as many holographic screens, a location name visible beneath them, and their voices clear and precise. Although, they could not see Celesti’s true face nor hear her true voice, her identity a secret to them all. “Ladies and Gentlemen.” Celesti began to speak keeping her back to the shadowed individuals. “Today’s experiment we will be amplifying the Logia’s holy magic to 75% in hopes that it will increase the link ratio between the Battery and the Logia.”
“Will the battery be able to withstand the increase? Last time Celesti used her Chimera machine with the battery’s power the battery went into a coma!” One of the voice spoke up to Celesti, unknowing that their leader was the same scientist they had questioned many times.
“Do not worry about Professor Celesti and her experiments. They have not failed us when it came to data. As you can see from the direct feeds on the Battery, Minea Damuel, it appears that the Logia are creating a new connection with her.” Celesti smiled at how foolish these people were. “Ladies and Gentlemen, we came together from various positions with in the TSAB, various fields of engineering and business, all for the cause of pushing forward the state of human evolution. To rid our selves of war, famine, pride, and failure to create a proper superior species to that of both the past and the future. Watch, as Celesti Damuel shows you proof that her plans and her Chimera Machine will push for our goals.”
[Minea]
The smell of burning flesh and singed hair hit Minea’s nostrils trying to make her gag. She could smell her skin burning even if there were no burns on her. The passing of the magic through her hit the highest peak finally, staying in a steady pulse. She could no longer scream, her voice having given out on her long ago. Her tail was limp beneath her dangling and lifeless.
“This isn’t love.”
The shirt on her back suddenly erupted into magnificent blue flames. Massive wings expanding from her shoulder blades searing through the structure that held her into place cutting off pipes, wire, and components alike. The span of her wings was nearly the length of the machine she was attached to. Minea found her voice again releasing a shrill cry from the depths of her soul.
“If Mother loved me, she wouldn’t do this to me”
Scientists began to scramble at the sight of their work gone chaotic. The systems of the machine spread to its generators erupting them in explosions of fire and electricity. Shards of metal ripped and tore into the scattering men and women. Fire extinguishers on the ceiling activated spraying down the area below, but while they could quench the electrical fire, they could stop Minea’s wings.
“If Alexandria loved me, she would stop this.”
An emergency exit to the east wall began to dent from the other side; fists hammering against the thick metal pushing the hard steel inwards. Black claws tore inwards pulling the sides of the door back towards their owner. Judas slithered past the clawed opening spreading his wings out to either side of him. His arms curled at his sides moving out wards, his head reeling back as his jaw releasing a menacing howl. The dragon man launched him self forward cutting down fallen machinery and scientist alike rushing his way straight to Minea. Leather wings flapped against heated air lifting him self landing just above the tortured cat girl. Clawed hands lowered down cutting into the fabric of her restraints until hands and then feet alike were freed. His arms came down covering her body to be cradled against his bare, scaled flesh. In front of the machine he landed with Minea, looking up watching as steel beams came crashing down on top of them both.
“This isn’t right. None of this is right.”
[Celesti]
The people behind the ten screens and Celesti watched the work that Celesti’s experiment brought on. They did not care about the deaths or the loss in equipment; all they cared about was the revealing of Minea’s wings. Celesti crossed her arms, her lips twisting into an amused smirk. “Ladies and Gentlemen; as you all can see Celesti Damuel’s experiment was an over whelming success. We have forced the Logia and the Battery to further become linked together. As our scientists further translate the texts, we will find out how connected the two are now. Until then we…” The sounds caused by the collapsing ceiling caused Celesti’s head to jolt upwards staring and watching as the steel beams came crashing down onto Judas and Minea.
Whispers befell the lips of the ten behind the black monitors questioning the new outcome this catastrophe would bring on their goals. “Quiet!” Celesti shouted raising her left arm to extend straight at her side. “If you did not notice, Ladies and Gentlemen, Alexandria’s familiar has rescued her.” The woman stared down at the scene below once again; for each of the ten behind the black screens their monitors showing the experiment crackled and finally revealed the floor below them.
Beneath the debris and broken metal, Judas stood shrugging off the heavy steel beams. His left wing was torn off at the shoulder blade, a long steel pole penetrated his left thigh pinning him to the ground, and blood raced down from his right eye in twin streams of blood. Yet, despite all the injuries he had sustained, Judas still held tightly protecting the shirtless Minea. Her wings burned into his flesh as they curled undamaging around Minea. A cold, dark stare lifted up staring at the observation deck.
“I want a home…”
Damn, with each chapter Celesti grows more and more hateful At the least, Minea’s just now realizing how little her “mother” cares for her. Will we see a turnaround soon?

I'm currently very much lacking in the cool name department, so I was wondering if any of the SWR people could help, concidering Fate's awesome Zamber was practically born from there.
So a true spoiler for once, I had not planned to reveal this yet due to wishing for surprise effects, but I needs names.
Spoiler for Current Limit Break data:
The idea was to have a Limit Break that focusses on Keroko's specialty, namely versitallity. Artherion will change into two energy blades (yes, I swayed for Fate's awesomness in episode 24 it was stronger then me. ) Keroko's Barrier Jacket becomes the ranged part by turning the two gems on her shoulders into multi-target cannons. The magical version of shoulder-mounted missile launchers, really.
However, when it came down to naming them, I ran on dry ground. For the blades, I never got further then 'Force Sabers'. Cool name, but it lacks that 'wow' effect. The Barrier Jacket... Well, I got to Impulse Form, but then I remembered episode 5.
So if anyone could give some suggestions for names, it would be very apreciated.
Would like to help, but unfortunately I’m no good at names either Although Kha’s suggestion of names could certainly help

// after several hours of time-skip //

“What do you mean?” she replied, confused that Wolf would disarm himself.

Her barrier jacket is made up of a black shirt with white lining patterns, bright red mini skirt, black long socks, bright red gloves, a pair of brown leather boots, and white hooded cape.
Missing? I don't know. Although most of the points have been covered by Tk3997 here Agree that you could buff her up with some offensive spells, even if just standard
Still, I want to see how you can make a silent character like her work, and how you'll show her in combat. And it's good to sometimes have "normal" underpowered characters around here
Keep the miniskirt though *ehem*

1 - What is the ultimate fate, then, of the RevivalS, AlternateS II, and OutcastS fics announced?
RevivalS: Reinforce comes back as a S to SS Unison Device for Hayate (Subject to Captain Nightnet Cannon for revisions if necessary). Aurion's Linker Core is crippled but not completely kaput. He should be able to fully recover sometime after OutcastS. Until then, he'd best stay out of high-power combat. Saga's post-RevivalS plot is to be handled by Nighty.

I think she needs more options for offense. Tk pretty much covered most of it. I suggest a constriction spell for one.

@Aeon: Good, but, as said by Tk, a complete absence of offensive spells...unless, of course, she fits a certain in-combat role that doesn't require them.

I find it unwise to create plans for character's, especially a group of them, when you're not gonna be working on them for some time anyways IMHO Of course, no one's telling you to hurry here, so it's all good

One version of it anyway. ( think we have at least 2 or 3 "earths" at present) in this timeline this "earth" has been a member for at least 20+ years and was a near fortress planet for allot of that time. The military industrial complex is alive and well. Yeah it's a tad confusing having a bunch of "earths" floating around, but such are the perils of flying around the Multi-verse...
Anyway my view of the TSAB is that it’s less the United States of America and more the European union. A looses association of worlds bound by certain treaties for economic cooperation (like a common currency and no trade taffies… in theory), mutual defense, and certain universal rights, but still a fairly loose confederation overall with individual worlds having significant autonomy in rule.
The military is built somewhat like a more formalized and institutionalized European Rapid Reaction force. The militaries gear and money comes from the various member planets, but it’s under the command of a central interplanetary authority. Under this model though the various larger worlds are also allowed to keep small “Defenses force” of there own. This is allowed somewhat by tradition and also because it frees the navy and army proper for patrol and offensive missions. These forces are heavily restricted though and subject to nationalization by the TSAB proper in time of war, sort of like the National Guard. These ships are technically a part of that small defense force, and have limited authority outside of a small area around this earth unless authorized otherwise by the navy.
Also under this system ships and materials come from many planets and sources with a myriad of minor variations but largely based on some set templates, the navy also commissions a certain number of standardized classes from these various yards as well. This earth deviates more then most in ship building, but many planets also have their own unique takes on and reputations about certain types of ships they build. I like this system because it can explain any minor differences in interpretations of space combat by just saying whoever built some ship happened to favor X kind of combat or something. Having many distributed shipyards is also good as it prevents any kind of decapitation strike unlike if you had a single huge shipyard.
After all modern navies don’t build their own ships and certain yards clearly have reputations for certain kinds of ships. A navy often just says “we want something like this” to a designer and then THEY acutally go about designing and building the thing while the military itself merely signs off on it.
I also like this set up because it opens all sorts of fun infighting and political divisions regionalism, xenophobia toward other members, political blocs etc. The TSAB is young for any government (significantly YOUNGER then the Untied States for instance itself a fairly recently established government) and still expanding by all appearances. The government and it’s various parts probably aren’t nearly as cohesive and unified as the nations we tend to think of on earth that often have millennia of shared culture and traditions.
In fact given the wide range of cultures, religions, and peoples it probably encompasses it’d bet it’s significantly less unified I imagine it’s somewhat like ancient China or Rome with a fairly strong core, but with somewhat lax control over it’s periphery states with some of them bordering on self-rule. At this point I think the TSAB is somewhat in it's "Wild West" or “growth” phase it's now somewhat established as a society and it's begun exploring it's surroundings and expanding outward at an increasing rate. What happens next will depend on many factors but two scenarios seems most likely.
One is that if it survives it may settle down and begin to pull together under a common culture and become more nation like (or just more centralized), but on the other hand with the entire multi-verse to keep expanding into it could perhaps keep growing larger and larger until it may lose control of large portions of it’s empire and fracture into many smaller successor states (a common fate for large empires or governments without anything to check their expansion). Either one will probably take centuries more time though.
(Note: I’ve already said I consider universe killers to be bullcrap so I discount any sort of ‘the multi-verse explodes’ outcome.)
In any case I find the idea of so many different peoples living together as one happy family under the central government and not looking after themselves and occasionally bucking the central government unlikely to the point world peace breaking out next Tuesday. Then again I always have found the conflict theory of sociology to ring rather true...
@haiz: Yes, fearsome...if that's what you were implying.
And, finally, I've dug up the segment:
Spoiler for Scarlet Berceuse- Part III:
"TRE!"
The eye-patched cyborg witnessed the scene helplessly as, in a flash, V ruthlessly thrust his spear downwards. Instantly the energy blade projected from the gap in the weapon's front pierced through the back of her neck and out through the other side, slicing her larynx in twain in the process. The energy sword jutted out grotesquely, yet bloodlessly.
Cinque's breath turned to ice, her very self shaking in terror as her sister perished before her eyes at the hands of a merciless killer. The purple-haired Number lifted her head upwards, weakly, her fading eyes gazing upon Cinque pleadingly, in desperation. She gurgled something almost indecipherable, red liquid trailing down her neck.
"C...Ci-"
She was cut off abruptly as V withdrew his weapon with rapidity. Tre fell forwards and collapsed, flopping to the ground lifelessly. Claret began to trickle across the floor.
The unearthly killer, his eternally jovial mask still unstained, stepped carefully over the corpse of the fallen warrior before him. Sighing in disappointment, he turned himself to face the last defender standing. "One less problem to worry about", he uttered, in tones of deepest frost.
The platinum-haired girl was rooted to the spot, her emotions brewing in a mixture of disbelief, sorrow, and...
Anger.
She wanted nothing more than to kill the assailant clad in black. To slay, maim, torture, destroy the man in any fashion possible. She whispered to herself under her breath, frantically, her tone rising.
"Nove...Tre..."
V plodded forward, menacingly, holding Fawkes at his side, the device equally demonic in the dull light. One step, two step.
"Iya..."
Three step.
"Iya..."
Four step.
It was then that she snapped.
"IYAAAAAAAAAA!"
V tilted his bowed head to face the Number, but he was too slow as a barrage of knives flew at him, collided with his form and exploded on contact. They sent him reeling back, his clothes torn, and he himself bloodied further by the blasts, but he noticed more projectiles speeding towards his position.
Quickly, he regained his posture and conjured up a barrier. The enraged Number hurled another salvo, and another, until a storm of explosively imbued metal was sent the masked attacker's way. Time and time again, they exploded against the blood-red shield, and weakened it continuously. V tried to keep pouring further energy into his defense, but it wasn't enough as it was ultimately shattered by a decisive set of throwing knives.
The proceeding burst of smoke and fire sent him from Cinque further, the figure jolting backwards as if he was slugged across the face. He heard a cry of anguish, and averted his eyes to the smokescreen, seeing Cinque charging through, weapons in hand.
He shifted his stance, taking a pace back and forming yet another shield with his free hand whilst hoisting Fawkes aloft with his other. The girl collided with the barrier, yet she cared not as she strained to break through it, yellow IS circles glowing around the hilts of her knives.
V was having a hard time yet again as he sought to bolster his barrier. As he spared a look at his opponent, he saw that the look on her features was one of nothing but hatred, and her tone was a vehement sound, sharp as daggers.
"You...you...took them from me...
Die...die, die, DIE!"
Under his Fawkesian exterior, V grimaced. "Apologies," he replied, "but I can't let that happen just yet." He forced his armament through his rapidly diminishing magical bastion, and the blade in the gap retracted, replaced by an orange glow.
"Bonfire", Fawkes said, releasing a sole cartridge.
What came next was two simultaneous attacks resulting in an explosion of sizable proportions. Whilst V's skill struck, Cinque detonated her own weapons at the same time. The cloaked spear-wielder rocketed backwards into a wall due to the force of the outburst, whereas Cinque was sent rolling across the floor with a yelp away from the point of the blast.
The two combatants paused a while, and eventually Cinque got back on her feet. Her face was bloodied, yet she was still spurred onwards by fury, and dashed once again towards her nemesis in outrage.
At this point, V recollected himself, rising slowly from his slumping position and seeing the Number storm onwards at him. "Clever girl..." he mused.
Wordlessly, he unsheathed a foot-long knive underneath his cloak and threw it forwards in an arc at Cinque. She barely saw it coming, the blade spinning like a buzz saw, and it left a gash in her shoulder, causing her to falter. Despite this, she countered with her own weapons. V guarded against the explosions, but that brought the Number the time she needed.
Dashing forward and wheeling round, she struck in a vertical, upwards arc with a single knife aimed at V's torso. The man bent back to avoid it, but it still cut into the fabric of his clothing and into his skin, leaving another wound. As she spun once more to poise an attack at V's neck, the masked man grabbed her arm and twisted it, harshly, the knife falling out of her grasp.
As an alternative, Cinque hit him around the face with her other hand, but she could only do so twice before she was subjected to an arm lock. It tightened, forcing Cinque to grit her teeth and hold back a cry.
V, still holding Cinque in a submissive position, readied his device. The girl's eyes flitted to the knife on the floor. Outstretching a hand, she caused it to explode, catching V off guard and separating the pair.
Cinque was wounded further from the blast, as was her foe, and she wiped blood from her lips. Nevertheless, she hurled another storm of projectiles ahead of her, one aimed upwards, the other downwards. V blocked those sent towards his torso, but was sent flying backwards through the now-decimated corridor into the wall again. Fresh pain entered the man as he gasped and coughed up blood, tasting iron. He pointed Fawkes ahead.
"White Wind."
A series of glyphs formed around the tip of the device, and several small beams of energy shot outwards from them. Some missed, and others grazed his assailant, but she still didn't stop.
As he slumped back down, Cinque suddenly bent over him and grabbed him forcefully by the throat. Her grip grew stronger, constricting the man's breathing as she strangled him, slamming his head back against the wall behind him.
His vision darkened, and he could no longer hear the exclamations of the Number choking him to death. He did, however, catch another noise- a clattering, as he dropped Fawkes.
He gasped, and sought one last solution. With his last ounce of strength, he inched his hand over to his set of knives, and slowly unsheathed another. Willing himself along, he performed the action that would release him from this stranglehold.
In a swift movement, he brought his knife-bearing hand, once limp, upwards in a crescent. Not expecting this in the least, Cinque could only watch, her eye dilated, as the gleaming blade cut diagonally through her suit and dug into her flesh. V summoned up the strength to lever himself up, and managed to kick her backwards.
Crouching after skidding backwards, the girl examined her wound- a diagonal slash upwards across her front, bleeding profusely. She cursed under her breath, but was jolted out of her reverie as the masked murderer leapt at her.
Using a last resort, she revealed a cluster of cloaked blades suspended in mid-air, and directed them at him. The explosion knocked him to one side, but he regained himself and surged onwards once more.
The two clashed weapons, and Cinque directed another towards V's right side. The blast disrupted his move again, and the girl revealed more, sending each one down at him. Explosion after explosion formed until finally, after all the hidden projectiles were extinguished, there was a crater present in the room.
Cinque panted heavily and looked upon the destruction she had wrought. To her horror, however, a dim glow was faintly visible through the thick wall of smoke.
"Bonfire."
An energy blast was sent at Cinque, piercing through the gray cloud and homing in on her. She hastily erected her barrier again, but it was weakened from V's onslaught prior to him killing Tre. The bullet smashed against it, exploding on impact. The shield withheld, but ultimately dissipated after the next shell, breaking apart. The third hit Cinque dead on, sending her hurtling across the room, and her shriek was cut off as a fourth impacted beside her as she slid across the ground, not doing major damage but silencing her nonetheless.
V stepped slowly, methodically, over to the bloodied Number lying on the floor. He lowered Fawkes, and watched as Cinque looked at him in fear, her breath coming to her in gasps.
"An admirable duel", he stated. "But, as old law dictates, there can only be one victor." There was a clinking as Fawkes ejected four cartirdges, each landing on the ground with a soft clang.
"November..."
"Sorry about this."
Cinque braced herself for the end, closing her eye shut.
But there was a new sound- that of a cannon. The eye-patched one looked up at V, with Fawkes glowing eerily, and saw him jerk backwards.
"...5th."
The red beam, instead of hitting its intended target, cut across the cieling as V doubled back and was struck by a high-power projectile that hit him square in the chest.
Cinque turned her head over her shoulder to see who the firer was- it was I, his gauntlet smoking and his eyes as dark as night. As V cursed ("What the hell...?"), another voice made itself present, one that Cinque could not be more relieved to hear.
@haiz: Yes, fearsome...if that's what you were implying.

"Stay the HELL away from her!"
There ya go.
