The annoying sound of our alarm clock came to my ears, robbing me of the pleasant dreams of ruling the world. With a small groan I rolled over half on top of my seeping partner so I could speak with her. “Nanoha,” My voice was a little rough because I just woke up but I didn't really care. When the girl didn't wake I tried again. “Nanohaaaaa.” She mumbled something about a blueberry muffin before cuddling up against me to get comfortable. Finally I opened my eyes and looked out over the top of her head and at the alarm clock, which was progressively getting louder and giving me a headache. I finally managed to get caught up with all my work so I could sleep in one day and my ever so loving room mate just had to want to wake up at her usual time. The beeping sounds cut off, taking to it's second stage, which was playing the radio very loudly. Although I'll admit I liked the current song, I liked sleeping a lot more. “Nanoha, cut the damn thing off!” I knew I couldn't reach it so I didn't even bother trying. My best friend yawned against me and nuzzled herself in against my chest, seemingly deaf to the sound. I had enough, and I wanted to sleep. Putting my hands against her chest I pushed her as softly as I could before finally getting her close enough to the edge and shoving her onto the floor. Now with Nanoha gone, I grabbed her pillow and put it over my head to try and cut off the noise and go back to sleep. At first I thought I would be able to rejoin my dreams but suddenly the sounds of Nanoha's loud snoring came from the floor, even drowning out the music. Pissed, I got up and crawled over to the edge of the bed and grabbed a pillow before raising it above my head.

GOLD!!!
This is pure GOLD! you have to stop posting previews like this one. I can't wait to read the whole thing whenever you present us with these
Ugh. 3 AM here and I want to curl up in my bed and sleep. Night all. We'll continue the arguments later. And hopefully, Skyfall will decide to not take a peek in here ><

Thanks Erio, I feel seriously validated after that. XD (Wow, my first bow emote. Awesome. <3) And thank you Sora too. <333
I have a lot more I could say to you Haru, but you clearly don't listen to logic if it's related to Yuuno in any way shape or form, and things have gotten enough off topic as it is.
I'm going to return to lurking now. I seem to only bring things totally off topic whenever I open my damn mouth. -.-;; *slinks back to shadows*

Edit: Good night Sora, sleep well. :3
You're welcome Jena-san ^^
Haru doesn't like Yuuno, period. So he normally skips arguments that talk about him, I guess *shrug*
You don't have a "damn mouth" and it's good to be off topic from time to time (It's really Nanoha forum style, so...) As I mentioned the first time I saw you, you bring liveliness here, just like Satashi-san ^^
Good night ^^

Good night Satashi-san ^^

Also I'd like to point out, as a fact, Nanoha counts the days that goes by when she doesn't see Yuuno ( check the manga)
I can say without thinking you haven’t released a fic since 3 days, and I’m not in love with you, that doesn’t prove anything.

No one cares about non-shota male character in this series, we were talking about Fate and Nanoha, they didn’t knew about the male being there, that’s a fact.

“Time with Fate/Training planning” is what says the translation I have. Spending 3 hours in that is as absurd as spending 1 complete hour only bathing… “RH, please make the planning for me, just put 4 random droids somewhere and save it in the usual folder, I have to Paya-Paya someone” well, maybe is not than absurd since that bathing time it’s the same as Fate-chan. If this isn’t subtext tell me what it is. It’s obvoius

I have said it before, I don’t dislike that character, I only dislike 2 things: Nanoha being paired with him, and the homophobic people.

Great stuff! In response, here're reposts of my stuff from the OC Thread.
Spoiler for No Place Like Home...:
Location: Mobile Division 6 HQ, Mid-Childia
Time: 2100 MST
Arcas stalked along the corridors of the building that housed the newly-formed Mobile Division 6, Mel on his heels. The XO (Executive Officer) was not happy, and he was making his displeasure well-known…or at least well-heard.
“…entire day’s been a bust. We land at Yzak, and here I am, expecting some of my friends and comrades to at least make a token effort at saying hello, and what do we get? NOTHING! So then you, Boomer, and I all fly out to Honor’s Hold to see Keroko and the Rogues, and we’re told that they’re off training for a major op. The Silvana and the 21st are nowhere to be seen, the 216th is off on an investigation, Aurion and the Phantoms are testing new equipment, and so on, and so on.”
“Not everybody’s schedule is as flexible as ours, Arcas. Surely you know that. And I’m sure everyone you mentioned DOES care; they’re just busy.”
“One or two, yes, but ALL of them?” Arcas sighed. “It’s not as bad as I thought…it’s WORSE. Well, hopefully the Aces and Wolkenritter are here, so I can at least say hello and introduce you.”
“It’s a shame Shosa and Boomer couldn’t come along,” Mel said.
“They’re busy getting updated and prepping the Delphinus,” Arcas replied. “It’s important that we be at the top of our game.”
“Haii~.”
The pair stopped walking and looked around.
“Mel, where are we?”
“How am I supposed to know?! YOU’RE the one who’s seen the layout!”
“YOU’VE got the sense of direction!”
“Uguu~!”
“Uguu~ yourself!”
The two stood there in the corridor like that, arguing. Their argument was so loud that they didn’t hear the footsteps of someone running along the corridor just around the corner. Likewise, the someone running was in such a rush that they didn’t hear the two Phantasms exchanging verbal fire. And when they came around the corner…
“Look out!”
“Oof!”
The three landed in a heap in the corridor, in what could be interpreted as a highly compromising position. Mel was on her back, with Arcas on top of her, his face wedged in between her rather... healthy assets. The runner had fallen, with her assets crushed against the small of Arcas’ back.
“I am so sorry, I didn’t see you the – ARCAS?!”
The Phantasm stirred at hearing a familiar, feminine voice. He tried to reply, but his voice was muffled by Mel’s chest. Mel had finally gotten the shock of the fall out of her system when she realized the position she and Arcas were in.
“KYAA!” she screamed, lashing out with her foot, striking something… sensitive.
Arcas rolled off of her, curling up in the fetal position, groaning in pain. Mel’s eyes widened at the realization of what she’d done.
“Arcas-kun! Are you OK? I am so sorry.”
“Perhaps I can help,” the woman replied.
“And you are?”
“My name is Shamal.”
“Shamal of the Wolkenritter?!”
“The same,” the owner of Klarwind replied with a smile. “Now, if you will permit me…”
A few seconds later, the women were helping a bruised, but no longer in pain, Arcas to his feet.
“Holy Arcana, Mel, that’s some kick you’ve got.”
“I am so sorry! I just –”
“- overreacted. It’s okay. I’d probably do the same thing as you. Anyway, allow me to introduce you to-”
“She already introduced herself, Arcas,” Mel replied with a wave of her hand.
“Oh. Well then, onto other stuff.” Arcas turned and embraced the blond support-mage. “How’ve you been, sister?”
“Well enough, but we’ve been rather busy as of late.”
“So I’ve heard. This Relic case sounds huge.”
“It is! But enough about us. What are you doing here?”
“The 82nd’s been recalled by Secretariat to help you and the GDI with all the chaos that’s been going on around here as of recent. Speaking of people, are the rest of division around?”
“Let me check…” Shamal replied, bringing up a screen in front of her. She scrolled down, looking for the relevant information.
“Nanoha and the forwards should be getting off training right about now – do you want me to call everyone and get them together?”
“That’d be great – tell them that they’ve got visitors waiting for them in the lounge.” Arcas turned to leave with Mel, then stopped. “By the way, which direction IS the lounge in?”
After giving the pair directions, Shamal contacted Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, and the rest of the Wolkenritter, giving them Arcas’ message.
The forwards were dead tired.
All they wanted to do was go back to their rooms, fall into bed, and sleep until they had to get up tomorrow… and do today all over again.
But NO, Nanoha had told them that there was one last thing to do before she let them go for the day. Which was why they were making their way to MD 6’s lounge.
“Ma’am,” Tiana groaned. “Do we really have to do this? We’ve been in training almost all day, and I don’t think any of us are up to anything much.”
Nanoha smiled. “This isn’t something much, just a chance to meet some new friends from another part of the service. Plus, they aren’t around all that often.”
Outside the lounge, Nanoha and the forwards ran into Fate, Hayate, and the Wolkenritter.
“Everybody’s here,” Hayate said. “Let’s go on in.”
The doors slid open, and when the assembled group saw their two visitors, silence reigned over the room…for about ten seconds. Then it exploded in a barrage of squeals, shouted questions, and general chaos.
But it all could be summed up in one word.
“ARCAS?!”
The 82nd XO smiled and waved hello to the stunned assembly. For a moment, none moved, until Caro Ru Lushe broke formation and practically threw herself at Arcas.
“Arcas-nii-san!”
“Hey kid,” Arcas replied, scooping the summoner up, “how’s life been for you and Fried?”
The rest of the group slowly made their way over to the couches, settling themselves in.
Caro and Arcas talked for a couple of minutes, and then she jumped off his lap and scooted over to take a spot next to Erio.
Hayate was the first to speak. “Shamal, why didn’t you TELL me that our visitors were the 82nd?”
“Because we asked her to,” Mel replied. “Forgive us.”
“It’s okay,” Fate replied. “It’s just that we didn’t know who to expect.”
“Well, now you know,” Arcas replied, an amused grin crossing his features.
“Um, excuse me,” Subaru spoke up. “But who exactly are you?”
Another glance passed between Phantasms, then they stood and announced themselves.
“I am Arcasaviel Emira, XO of the 82nd Rim Advance Force, the ‘Noble Phantasms.’ Call me Arcas.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you; my name is Melinia Yoshitaka, also of the 82nd.”
“The Rim Advance Force? Of Secretariat?” Tia asked.
Both nodded in the affirmative.
“Shouldn’t you be out patrolling Known Space?” Erio questioned.
“We would, except we’ve been recalled to help out here.” Arcas stated.
“Why?”
Mel shrugged. “At this point, we know as much as you – that we’re back. WHY we’re back is still a mystery to us.”
“So,” Signum stated slowly, “this is the partner you’ve been talking about?”
“Yes,” Arcas replied. “This is Mel.”
As the adults talked, Subaru elbowed Tiana.
“Ne, Tia, what’s the Rim Advance Force?”
Tiana rolled her eyes and explained. “The Force, or RAF, is part of Secretariat, and the exploration arm of the Tripartite. It’s their job to keep law and order out on the frontier.”
“So they’re like Enforcers?”
“Sort of – except they’ve a few more responsibilities than normal Enforcers; they’re expected to recruit new mages and help make treaties with Non-Administrated Worlds.”
“So you guys are back to help out in general?” Hayate asked of Arcas.
The XO nodded. “We’ll probably end up working with you guys at one time or another.”
“Well, it’ll be interesting times again,” Vita stated.
“That it will,” Signum concurred.
Nanoha stood and said, “Okay, time for the kids to go off to bed.”
The forwards, eager at the chance to get out of a conversation that could probably go on for hours, followed Nanoha. Mel also rose, hot on their heels.
“Mel, where’re you going?”
“I’m just going to see them off to sleep, silly. I’ll be back, don’t worry.”
“Alright,” Arcas sighed. “But hurry.”
Once they had left, Arcas turned to talk with those who remained, only to notice a rather dangerous glint in the eyes of Fate and Hayate. “What?”
“She’s cute – I like her.”
“Hayate, you stay away from Mel – I know what’d you do to her if you got the chance.”
“But all I said was-“
“That’s all you HAVE to say. Need I remind you of the last female partner I had? You said she was cute, and the next thing I know, you’ve got her trotting around in a maid’s uniform! It took weeks to undo the damage! No, I will not permit you to do that to Mel!”
“Aw, that’s so cute,” Fate cooed.
“What is?” Arcas asked, puzzled.
“You’re jealous!”
Arcas blushed at the implication. “I AM NOT!” he growled.
“Now, now, no reason to deny it,” Shamal said, an evil grin on her face. “We all like her very much, and want you to know that we approve.”
“There’s nothing to approve,” Arcas shot back. “Mel and I aren’t like that – we’re just friends; good friends.”
Now Vita joined in. “All I can say is that it’s about time; you’ve been eyeing Hayate WAY too long for my liking.”
“How many different ways do I have to say it?! MEL AND I ARE PARTNERS, BUNKMATES!” he shouted. Silence hung over the room, and noticing the grins and smirks on all the faces of the others, Arcas knew he had misstepped. “Okay, that didn’t come out right.”
“Hai~ desu,” Rein-chan replied, sarcasm evident in her voice.
While Arcas was desperately trying to dig himself out of his hole, Mel was having a grand time talking to Nanoha and the forwards.
“…so you’re the one Gianna picked to succeed her?!” Subaru squealed, quite obviously in fan-girl mode.
“Yup,” Mel replied. “And I have the Device to prove it.”
“Ne, ne, can I see it?”
“How about this – tomorrow Arcas and I are scheduled to work at the virtual battle simulator you guys have to brush up – show up and not only will you get to see what I can do, but also what Arcas can do.”
“COOL!” Subaru pumped her fist in triumph.
The group walked in silence for a few moments before Tiana asked Mel another question.
“What’s it like, being in the RAF?”
Mel considered her answer for a moment before speaking.
“It’s… not easy. Being in the RAF isn’t something I would recommend for a great deal of people.”
“Who would you recommend it for?” Caro asked.
“Someone… with friends, and family. Somebody connected.”
“Wouldn’t that just make it harder for everyone, since you’re usually only around for three months out of the year?”
“It does,” Mel replied, “but it also gives you a reason to look forward to coming back from the Black.”
“I don’t understand,” Nanoha said, though both she and Mel knew that she was saying it for the benefit of the forwards.
“Look at it like this. You’re out there three-fourths of the year, unable to see them. So when the time rolls around, you want to go back and see them all.”
“Whereas if you’re not…” Tiana said, having deduced Mel’s conclusion.
“Then there’s no reason, and you could potentially stay out there forever until you burn out from working too hard.”
“Don’t the people who run the RAF realize this?” Erio asked.
Mel nodded. “They do, and that’s why the RAF has something of an unwritten rule – always have two or three family people in each unit.”
“So there’s a reason to bring them back,” Subaru concluded.
“Precisely.”
The group had finally arrived at the dorms, Nanoha and Mel said goodnight, and they reversed course, heading back to the lounge.
“Ne, Melinia-san?”
“Call me Mel – everyone does.”
“You and Arcas…”
“W-what about us?” Mel replied, feeling her heart race at the sudden mention of the Phantasm’s XO.
“You’re partners, right?”
“Y-yes. Yes we are.”
“Partners and NOTHING ELSE?” Nanoha questioned, a knowing glint in her eye.
“Nothing else,” Mel stated, mustering courage into her answer.
“You don’t like it that that way, do you?”
How?! How can she know? Not even Boomer and Shosa know!
“I don’t under- how do you- what did I-”
“I’m a girl too, if you haven’t noticed. And I saw the looks that you gave him in the lounge – you like him, don’t you?”
Too shocked to speak, Mel dumbly nodded her agreement.
“And he doesn’t know.”
Mel shook her head sadly, tears coming to her eyes.
Nanoha held out her arms to the knight, and Mel threw herself into them, sobbing out her pain.
“Shush… there, there, it’ll be all right. Don’t you worry, we’ll help you get him. I promise.”
Back at the lounge, things were not going well for Arcas. Despite three well-crafted and excellently delivered arguments, he was still having trouble shaking Fate, Hayate, Shamal, and Rein of the notion that Mel was more than a partner to him.
“Look, what do you want me to say?!”
“Just say that you like her, and we’ll leave it at that.”
“I like –”
“And not just as a friend,” Fate interjected. “Or a partner.”
Arcas groaned. “We’ve been over this a thousand times, and we’re getting nowhere.” The knight rose to leave. He took three steps towards the door, only to hear the familiar chime of Bardiche Assault, and for Fate to appear in front of him, at the ready. Arcas cocked an eyebrow.
“You’re really gonna fight me here?” Arcas asked, holding Ascalon’s Inactive Form in front of him.
“If I have to…” Fate warned.
Arcas heard more familiar chimes, and swiveled his head to see Hayate and the Wolkenritter battle-ready. He shook his head.
“This is insane.”
“What’s insane is you not admitting your own feelings.”
“Now talk, or Eisen and I will beat the confession out of you!”
Arcas sighed. Against one or two of them, I’d have a chance, but all six of them?! No way… looks like I’m coming out of the non-gay closet.
Arcas lowered Ascalon, turned his head away, and spoke.
“So what of it?”
The sextet’s eyes widened in response. “So you actually DO like her?” Hayate said, shocked.
“Of course! Wait, you didn’t know?”
Everyone nodded in the negative. Arcas groaned. Great. My life is over…
“Well, well, what are we going to do with the information, Hayate?” Fate grinned.
“Wai~ desu! Matchmaking!”
“NO! Please don’t!”
“But you just said-”
“I know what I just said, but think about it. The chances of it happening are one in a million! First, she’s got to return my feelings. And even if she does, there’s a chance that it may not work out between us. Can you imagine how awkward that you be, having to work side-by-side every day, with a broken relationship? Trust me, we’re happy with our relationship the way it is.”
“Don’t you think that she at least has the right to know about how you feel?”
“I – I don’t know. I mean, yeah, I could tell her, but then that’d put pressure on her to respond in a way that’s positive to me. And the last thing I’d want to do is to force what I want on her. That’s unfair and selfish.”
Silence stood over the group for a few moments before everyone realized that they were still in battle-mode. Disengaging their Device, Jackets, and Armor, everyone was ready to resume conversation when the door slid open behind them, revealing Mel and Nanoha.
Nanoha cocked her head in surprise. “What’s everyone doing?”
“We- we were just coming to find the two of you. Mel and I need to get back to the Delphinus for the night.”
“Ah.”
“Well, it’s been real, all.” Arcas said.
“It’s great that I got to meet you all,” Mel smiled. “Hopefully we can do it again another time.”
With that, the two Phantasms took leave, and made their way back to the car that would return them to the Delphinus’ hangar at Yzak Base.
“Hey, you all right?”
“Of course, why do you ask?”
“Well, it’s a tough crowd you had to deal with.”
“Ah, it’s nothing. Like slicing up a pirate.”
“I hear that.”
After that, the pair remained silent until they bid each other good night on the Delphinus.
Back at MD6 HQ, however, the conversation was not over. While the Wolkenritter had departed for the night, the three Aces and Rein were still talking.
“He said that?” Nanoha gasped.
“I know,” Rein-chan cooed. “Isn’t it so romantic?”
“It’s no wonder so many girls like him, he’s such a sweetheart…” Fate sighed.
“Well,” Hayate said, her command personality taking over. “With this new information, our course of action is clear!”
“Matchmaking? But what he said about it not working out-” Nanoha queried.
“-Is true,” Hayate replied. “But think about it, they’re here for an indefinite period of time. If it doesn’t work for them, then either can easily transfer elsewhere.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Fate affirmed.
And with that, the Aces headed off to bed, and Operation: Phantasm Love had begun…
Spoiler for At Dawn We Trained:
Location: Aboard the RAF Patrol Ship Delphinus
Time: 0600 MST
Mel padded along the deck of the Delphinus as she left her cabin to head down to the showers to clean up and prepare for the day ahead – the Phantasms was set to spend most of the next three days training with the forwards of MD6. As she moved through the kitchen, she passed Boomer, who was in the middle of making breakfast for the foursome.
“Morning!”
“And a good morning to you too, missy. Ready for an Earth-style breakfast?”
“You bet! I can’t wait to see what passes for food on Earth.”
“Well, you’ll know soon enough.”
Mel glanced around. “Where’s Shosa?”
“The major got called down to HQ again – looks like he’ll be there for the next few days, while we train MD6’s people.”
“So, if Shosa’s gone, then that means-”
“Yep, Arcas’ll be in charge of the training.”
“Is that such a wise thing? I’ve seen him train personally, and he can be fairly hard on himself.”
“Don’t worry, missy.” Boomer reassured the concerned knight. “Arcas was an Instructor for a few months at the beginning of his career. I’m sure he’ll be cautious enough. Speaking of Arcas, where is our fearless leader?”
“Still in bed,” Mel stated. “I’ve decided to give him until I’m ready for breakfast for him to drag his lazy self out of bed.”
“Generous of you,” Boomer stated with unmasked sarcasm.
Mel glared at Boomer and promptly headed off for the shower. She came back a few minutes later, cleaned up and wearing her usual attire: a one-piece azure dress that came down to her ankles. Boomer looked at the girl and shook his head.
“What?” Mel huffed.
“Nothing – it’s just that you’ve got a closet crammed with clothes, and yet you still choose to wear that almost every other day.”
“It’s comfortable, and has good mobility,” she replied, twirling around slowly. “It feels right.”
“Whatever. Off to wake Arcas?”
“Uh-huh.” And with that, she left the kitchen.
Down in Arcas’ cabin, the Phantasm XO was currently buried under a pile of pillows and blankets, sleeping. But that all changed when Mel came in and yanked the blankets off the bed, exposing a half-naked Arcas.
“Come on, Arcas,” she spoke sweetly, tugging on the shirt he was wearing, “time to get up.”
Arcas batted her hand away and mumbled something into the pillow he was currently holding.
“What was that?”
“I said, just five more minutes.”
Mel sighed, placing her hands on her hips.
“None of that now, Arcas. We’ve got a big day ahead of us, and we’re supposed to be leaving for MD6’s training field in-” she glanced at the clock “-half an hour.”
“So I’ve still got time.” He countered.
“You know, if you didn’t stay up until one or two in the morning every night, you wouldn’t be having these problems.”
“The Aces can do it.”
“No one’s asking you to be like the Aces!”
“No one except me.”
Mel groaned. “Fine. But don’t expect me to feel sorry for you when you’ve gotta do your usual Morning Rush.” With that, she turned to leave the cabin, and returned to the kitchen, where food was waiting for her on the table.
“Serve yourself.”
“Thanks, Boomer.”
She took some food from the plates, and sat down at the table. The sniper and swordswoman sat like that for a few minutes, eating in silence.
“So, it didn’t work, huh?”
“Of course not,” Mel frowned, eating a forkful of scrambled eggs. “I swear, he’s so stubborn about his sleep; yet, this whole problem of his would just go away if he decided to get a proper amount of rest.”
Boomer shrugged. “People are people – and it takes something huge to change a person’s habits.”
“Stop defending him! You wouldn’t say that if YOU were the one who had to deal with him every morning!”
“Whatever.”
In his cabin, Arcas turned over in his bed, trying to go back to sleep.
Why does Mel have to do this to me EVERY SINGLE DAY?! I’m perfectly happy asleep, and then she comes in and wakes me up, and now I can’t get back to sleep. And the worst part is that it does nothing for me; I can’t get back to sleep, but it doesn’t inspire me to get out of bed either! The Phantasm XO groaned and rolled over, his eye opening just a hair to look at the clock.
“How soon is it?”
“Just another minute or so.”
Arcas’ mind registered the time on the clock: 0623 MST. Mel came in at about 0610, and said that we had to leave for the training field in about half an hour.
“Three…”
That means I have… about 17 minutes to get ready! Crap, not again!
“Two…”
WHY does this happen EVERY MORNING?!
“One.”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I’M LATE!”
With that, Arcas came through the doorway of the kitchen as blazing speed, towel flapping in the air behind him.
“AAAND HE’S OFF!” Boomer dramatically announced. Mel rolled her eyes and got up from the table.
“I’ll get his clothes…”
“…and I’ll fix him a plate. Heaven knows he’ll need it.”
While Boomer got Arcas’ food ready, Mel returned to his cabin and pulled out a fresh set of clothes for him. She then proceeded down to the lower deck, where the infirmary and showers were located.
Doing this every morning, waking him up, bringing him his clothes… it almost feels like I’m Arcas’… wife… Mel blushed a deep red as the thought passed through her head, along with the familiar warm fuzzies that she got WHENEVER she thought about herself and Arcas. She shook the thought from her head, and returned to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, Arcas emerged from the shower, and saw the clothes lying out from him. Mel again, he thought as he toweled dry, why’s she keep doing this for me? Most of the other girls I knew did this for a week and when they realized that I wasn’t going to be changing anytime soon, dropped it like a hot potato. But she’s been doing it EVERY DAY for almost two years. Arcas sighed. I shouldn’t be complaining, though…
With that, he proceeded to the kitchen, where breakfast was waiting. Arcas cocked his head at seeing the plate of food sitting out for him.
“What’s with this? Usually you guys make me fix my own food.”
Boomer answered. “We’re going to be training for most of the day – so you’ll need a proper breakfast if you’re to keep going – but don’t expect it to happen TOO often.”
“Right.”
Arcas cleaned the food off his plate, and then the three Phantasms left for training.
Location: Mobile Division 6 Virtual Training Field
Time: 0655 MST
The Stars and Lightning forwards were all lined up, ready for morning training with the RAF. Subaru was especially pumped – she would finally get to see Esperacchius, the legendary Device, in action.
“This is going to be SO COOL!”
“Geez, Subaru, don’t get so hyper,” Teana growled. “It’s not like they’re Gods or anything.”
“But we get to train with an ACTUAL UNIT! One with plenty of experience!”
As the pair spoke back and forth, Nanoha, Vita, and Fate came up to the forwards. The trio looked around, and not seeing the 82nd, asked Caro and Erio if either of them had seen the RAF mages.
“No, we’ve not…” Erio began.
“And we’ve been here for almost half and hour,” Caro continued. “Are they really coming?”
“If they know what’s good for them…” Vita growled.
Not long after, the Phantasms came running out to the field.
“Sorry we’re late…” Mel began.
“We were unavoidably delayed,” Arcas explained.
That earned the XO nasty looks from both Boomer and Mel.
“Anyway, let’s get started!”
The Phantasms took the field, speaking to Nanoha over the comm line.
“Nanoha, can you put us in an urban setting? And generate twenty AA ranked mages for us.”
Nanoha’s hand swept over the controls, making the adjustments. “Any particular way you want them set up?”
Boomer spoke. “Just spread them out over the area – don’t bunch them up.”
Nanoha made the changes, and paused. “All ready – just say the word.”
Arcas looked at his comrades. “All right – let’s go.”
Boomer was the first to speak. “Elsior, set up!” The bullet on the end of the chain glowed, and began to move down the chain to Boomer’s body, which was engulfed by the bright light. When it faded, Boomer stood there in urban camouflage fatigues, the staff in his right hand.
Next came Mel. “Give hope to the people! Esperacchius, set up!” The Velkan rune for “Hope” gave off a chime, and Mel was surrounded a multitude of swirling “Hope” runes. When it stopped, Mel was clad in her green armor, with Esperacchius held in her right hand.
Finally, Arcas. “For Honor and Courage! Ascalon, set up!” Arcas disappeared in a column of fire – when is disappeared, Arcas was wearing his Knight Armor, a black turtleneck and pants, along with a long red coat. Ascalon was in his left hand.
Now prepared, Arcas spoke the word. “GO!”
With that, combat began.
Five mages opened fire from the rooftops, attacking the Phantasms. The three took off into the air immediately, evading the blasts.
Mel shouted to Arcas. “We need to find some cover so we can get set!”
“Agreed! Boomer! See any cover?”
“Just a moment! Elsior!”
[Eagle Eye.], the device spoke.
“Arcas, there’s available cover at your two o’clock – a skyscraper.”
“Copy that, Boomer. Mel! You get that?”
“Loud and clear.”
The three streaked towards the building, and rocketed to the top, still evading fire from the mages. Once at the roof, the three touched down, using the building’s height for cover.
“Okay, everyone here?” Arcas counted heads. “Three. We’re all here. Okay, people, time for a plan. Any ideas?”
“Way I see it, we’ve got two options.” Boomer began, “One: I stay here and snipe as many as I can, move when they get here, and the two of you clean up the rest. Two: One of you stays here to beat off any would-be interruptors, and the other goes out for clean-up.”
“Sound solid. Mel, what do you think?”
“I think… we should go with plan #1.”
“That’s what your gut is telling you?”
“Yes.”
“Alright then, that’s what we’ll do. Boomer, once you’re off the building, I want you to keep firing. Understood?”
“Yeah.”
“Mel?”
“Ready when you are.”
“Boomer, if you’d do us the honors of taking the first shot,” Arcas stated.
Boomer moved to the edge of the building, and hefted Elsior. The elliptical head opened, ready to fire.
“All right, pal. Let’s give ‘em something to be scared of, yes?”
[Yes, Boss.]
“Elsior! Shooting Star!”
Elsior ejected the cartridge from its ten-round magazine and fired the cobalt blue beam of energy. It screamed out of the device and struck a mage about halfway across the city, derezzing the virtual target.
“Go!”
With that, Mel and Arcas took off, flying west across the city. Four mages spotted the pair of knights and took to the air, trailing them. As they closed in, they began hurl spells at the pair.
“Mel, keep going! I’ve got these ones!”
“Understood.”
With that, Arcas whipped around, facing his pursuers. Seeing a target present itself, the quartet focused their attacks on Arcas, unleashing three beams of light. “Ascalon!”
[Fortress,] the Armed Device intoned, setting up a shield in front of him, which intercepted one beam while the other two blew by him, missing completely. As the mages positioned themselves for another round of fire, Arcas decided to surprise them.
“Burn with the fire of a thousand hells!” [Dragon’s Fire!] The Velkan triangle appeared before him, and out of it came a stream of fire which incinerated one target, and grazed another, wounding it. The mages pulled back, realizing their opponent could attack at mid-range. Arcas chased after them. He closed with the two untouched mages, hoping to take them out before their injured comrade could rejoin the fight. He swung Ascalon in both hands, from right to left; one mage, however, had the presence of mind to put up a shield. Arcas gritted his teeth.
“Pierce through, Ascalon! Dual Load!”
[Dragon’s Fang.] Ascalon ejected one cartridge, then another, and the attack sliced through the shield and the target behind it, derezzing them both. As Arcas turned to deal with the two remaining targets, he saw that another mage had joined the fight. Arcas mentally groaned. Three to one. I hope Mel’s doing better than I am…
Across the field, Mel had problems of her own. She had run into an ambush of seven mages, and though she’d managed to take out four of them, the remaining three were putting up a hell of a fight, and reinforcements weren’t but a minute away. Come on, Mel, THINK! Come up with a plan so you can beat these guys before they trap you between them and the guys on their way. Wait a minute… TRAP! PINCER! THAT’S IT! Mel moved quickly from her cover to a fairly large room in the building that she was in. Then, she simply waited until the attackers came. The three surviving ambushers attacked from one direction, while four mages came from the opposite. Mel immediately set her plan into action. “Esperacchius!”
[Ace Guard.] The Armed Device ejected two cartridges and an omnidirectional shield surrounded Mel. The seven mages rained attacks upon it, but it refused to go down. Deciding it was safe to get closer, the mages came within staff’s reach of the shield, and prepared to attack as one. But Mel acted first. “Cross of the God-Empress! Be my sword, and strike now!” [Grand Cross.] Esperacchius ejected two MORE cartridges, and Ace Guard disappeared, only for an enormous glowing cross to appear under the feet of all in the room. The cross shone with a brilliant light, derezzing three of the seven mages, and providing Mel with enough time to use Saint Saber to dispatch the other four.
All in a day’s work, she giggled. Now to go see who needs help…
On top of the skyscraper, Boomer had seen the three mages headed towards Arcas, and decided to give the young knight some help, and had taken out two of the three with Arc Sniper. Just as he was about to snipe number three however, Elsior spoke.
[Force Shield.] Elsior’s auto-guard magic deployed as three rapid attack shots slammed against the barrier generated by the Intelligent Device. Boomer whipped his head around to see the attack had come from his seven o’clock. “Elsior! Give me some cover!” [Sniper Cover,] the Device intoned, and both Boomer and Elsior disappeared from the mage’s sight.
Puzzled, the mage flew to the skyscraper and looked around for the missing Boomer, only to find that he had fallen into a trap. Boomer and several Arc Shooter projectiles materialized out of thin air, surrounding the hapless mage. As the mage drew in a breath to speak, Boomer directed the five shots through the mages’ torso, derezzing him.
Boomer grinned. Nothing to it… now to get back to helping Arcas.
Arcas was having significant trouble dealing with the last three targets. They had set up in a triangle formation around him, and were raining constant attacks on his own Ace Guard, which was holding comfortably, but it meant Arcas’ wouldn’t be attacking anytime soon. Gotta find an opening… I can’t rely on Mel or Boomer to solve my problems for me. Watching the pattern of attacks, Arcas spotted a break. He waited until the pattern cycled back around, and when the break came, he dropped Ace Guard and unleashed his spell. “Back off!” [Riot Edge.] Ejecting a cartridge, Ascalon’s blade shone with a silvery light, and Arcas made a full circle, sending a wave of energy against the attackers. The spell derezzed the injured mage, as well as one who’d strayed too close to Arcas. The one left however, was stunned only for a moment. But in that moment, Arcas acted.
“I am the enemy of the dragon!” [Dragon’s Bane.] Ascalon ejected two cartridges, and Arcas shouted a war cry, slashing the last target twice, right to left, and then left to right. The attack derezzed the mage, and ended the scenario.
The trio flew back to where Nanoha and the others were waiting. As they landed, the assembled Division 6 mages could hear the banter being exchanged between the three.
“…were in real trouble there, Arcas-kun…”
“Yeah, I thought that I might have to use Hyper Cannon to save you!”
“You wish, Boomer! I didn’t get to be S ranked for nothing, you know!”
The trio then faced Nanoha. “So,” Boomer asked, “how’d we do?”
“See for yourself,” Nanoha replied, and brought up the post-scenario statistics.
“00:18:47 to take out twenty AA rank mages – about one a minute – that’s pretty good, even for us.”
“Yeah, but you took out over half the targets, Mel.” Arcas sighed. “Just HOW do you do that?”
“Luck and skill, Arcas, luck and skill.”
“Oi, Arcas, you used up almost an entire cartridge load – need to watch how you use those – they don’t grow on trees, you know.”
“I only used as many cartridges as I needed to – no more, no less.”
“Oh, is that like your ‘never late, never early, exactly when needed’ statement you made?” Boomer replied sarcastically.
“Shut up, Boomer,” Arcas retorted.
“Anything else before you start training with the forwards?” Fate asked.
“Just one. Nanoha, could you set up the Force Test?” Arcas asked, swapping his almost-empty cartridge tube for a new one. [Reload.]
“Sure, just give me a moment.”
With that, Arcas headed out to the field alone. Fate looked at the other Phantasms. “Do either of you wish to join him?”
“Nah,” Boomer replied, “I’m not worried about my Hyper Cannon. How about you, Mel?”
Mel shook her head. “My spell has sufficient strength for now.”
Subaru was confused. “What’s going on?”
“You’re about to see the true strength of Ascalon,” Vita said. “Watch carefully.”
Arcas stood alone on the field, when before him appeared a sea of Round Shields.
“Whenever you’re ready, Arcas.”
He nodded, and then raised his Device. “Ascalon, slay the dragon.”[Dragon Slayer Mode.] With that, Ascalon ejected two cartridges and assumed its Full Drive Form. The obsidian blade glowed and stretched out two feet; a hand guard extended out at the base of the blade, where two small parts of the main blade attached themselves, and slid back, forming an acute angle with Ascalon’s hilt.
“Ascalon, give me the power of that which I hunt.” [Dragon’s Fury.] A red aura surrounded Arcas as Ascalon ejected two more cartridges. Arcas swapped his current cartridge tube for a full one, and wasted no time in giving the incantation for Ascalon’s most feared spell.
“Across the worlds, across the galaxy, I hunt and kill the dragons of Injustice and Tyranny. It is a war I fight, an endless war. But, it is my mission, my CRUSADE!”
[CRUSADE.] Ascalon ejected its entire cartridge load, it's blade blazing with brilliant light, and Arcas repeated the moves he had made with Dragon’s Bane, only this time, waves of energy came off Ascalon’s horizontal slashes. And finally, Arcas swung his Device in an overhead slash, and brought it slamming down onto the ground, where a cone of energy expanded upon impact, decimating all the shields in its path.
Vents opened in Ascalon, expelling enormous amounts of steam as it transformed back into it Standard Mode. The forwards stood awestruck as the destructive power they had witnessed. Arcas came back to them and stood next to Nanoha, and asked her if he could see the statistics. The White Devil promptly brought them up on a screen, and the MD6 personnel crowded around to look.
“Good job, Arcas! You managed to knock down seven more AA rank shields than last time!”
“Thanks, Fate. But I honestly thought it’d be more than that – I’ve spent a lot of time focusing and learning how to control my attacks rather than just blast the enemy with raw firepower.”
“Don’t worry, Arcas. It took me awhile learn how to properly control Starlight Breaker, but I got the hang of it.”
The four forwards, however, had their eyes practically riveted to the part of the screen which was labeled ATTACK STRENGTH. It said:
I can say without thinking you haven’t released a fic since 3 days, and I’m not in love with you, that doesn’t prove anything.
It proves one thing. She thinks about him, so he is very important to her and he is an important part of her life. He may not appear on screen, but he is with Nanoha all the time. In her thoughts, and in her heart.
You say you love reading romance, but you dont know something as basic as this?

Sure, and Arf either xD
The key word is "confined." Not Library.

No one cares about non-shota male character in this series, we were talking about Fate and Nanoha, they didn’t knew about the male being there, that’s a fact.
I dont get this one. Being where?

Yeah, but you need at least a pair of hour to use the phone of something, but I think she prefer to spend 3 hours with Fate every night C_C
... Did you even read what Satashi said a few minutes ago?

“Time with Fate/Training planning” is what says the translation I have. Spending 3 hours in that is as absurd as spending 1 complete hour only bathing… “RH, please make the planning for me, just put 4 random droids somewhere and save it in the usual folder, I have to Paya-Paya someone” well, maybe is not than absurd since that bathing time it’s the same as Fate-chan. If this isn’t subtext tell me what it is. It’s obvoius
Yes... I spend a lot of time with a co-worker everyday, and then I spend the whole night with my roommate. I now have a lover at work, and a gaylover at night?
It's at this point where half of you should be in bed one-two hours ago.
And yes, the 'god' of evil and mischief coming in to break up an all so tasty and enjoyable 'discussion' means that Ragnarok is upon us all. [/deadpan]
That, and I have a writer's block (again) about that AxZ thingy I promised...
Okay, obvisouly people who won't even consider a possibility besides their own won't give in this matter. I have enough information on how people think now to allow me to write from differnt point of views now. So let's end this, as points of topic are being lost to blind eyes and deaf ears.
@Chaos2Frozen: more A/Z please.
@Erio: thanks. Really.
@Fuyu no Sora: I write untill 6 AM sometimes ( and regret it MAJORLY teh next day). P.S go to sleep.
Timeout!! Sorry for the interruption but I'm going to reduce the tension that is quickly building up!! To do that I'm reposting one of the sillier stuff I posted in the OC thread. And before anyone asks, its not The Festival although BPHaru might enjoy that one since he

Spoiler for Drinking is Embarrassing or Karma strikes back!:
~Log Number #500: Getting to first base!~
By Yui
Alcohol usually makes people do funny things, but what happens if you have a strange person like Tais consume enough to get him drunk? Surprisingly, there seemed to have slightly more beneficial effects on Tais than negative ones. For starters, that irritating, trouble inducing, thought vocalization habits of his actually disappears. Another thing is that it gives him singing ability. If you never hear him sing while sober, you're lucky. To give you how bad his abilities in song are, let's just say that if linker core strength is inversely proportionally to singing ability, Tais would be the strongest mage in history bar none. There are other benefits like no slurred speech, drunken swaying etc, but they are not really important.
This may seem like boring information but believe me, you'll see why I included it later. Anyway, for some unknown reason, his luck was absurdly good a few days ago, even Ginga-san gave Tais a complement when she saw him in the tuxedo. Some of you may be wondering why Tais of all people is in a tuxedo. As it turns out, it seems like his roommate from his trainee days invited Tais to his wedding. At first, I was rather worried. When Tais started drinking at the reception, I was so nervous that its a wonder that I didn't crash. After a few hours, I notice most of the effects alcohol had on Tais mentioned above, and started to relax. After that it was plain sailing all the way until we had to get back to base. Looks like Tais is going to stay out of trouble today.
Along the way, we stumbled upon lieutenant Signum being accosted by some drunken men. Feeling rather worried for the safety of those men, especially after lieutenant Signum brought out the pendent form of her device, I urged Tais to intervene. Grabbing something from his tuxedo and yelling a battle cry, Tais leap in front of the lieutenant .

Tais: Dynamic entry!!
Drunks: ...... (sweat drops)
Tais: Halt evildoers! You should be ashamed at your unyouthful behavior!! In the name of the Moons of Mid-childa, I, the great Bishonen Senshi Penpen-sama, will punish you!!
*Pause video file*
Remember I mention there are some negative effect of alcohol on Tais, well this is one of them. It seems to make him rather delusional. And stupid. The item he took out earlier was literally a penguin mask. And that speech... That was so ... stupid, dumb, moronic that I can't believe my audio sensors. Sometimes, I wish there was an electronic version of alcohol so that I can temporary forget events such as this. I can't fault its effectiveness, since the drunks did go away, out of embarrassment at Tais's act I suppose. The lieutenant did not seem affected and calmly thanked Tais for his assistance while keeping Laevatein .
*Resume video file*
Signum: Your intervention was not necessary Corporal Scien but I'll tha...
Tais: I'm not this Corporal Scien you speak of!!
Signum: Excuse me?
Tais: I'm the great Bishonen Senshi Penpen-sama!!
Signum: ... Whatever. Thanks for the assistance.
Tais: A hero like me does not need any thank yous but I have something I want to tell you.
Signum: (raises an eyebrow and signals Tais to continue)
*Pause video file*
I should have intervened here but I was still rather rattled at that stupidity earlier and by Tais's new singing talent which he revealed here. I mean he just started to serenade to Signum, the blaze general herself!! What happens later ... well, you judge for yourselves.
*Resume video file*
Tais: Come the moment I wake up, before I put on my make up
Signum: You? Put on make up? (smiles slightly)
Tais: I say a little prayer for you.
Tais: While combing my hair now and wondering which dress to wear now
Signum: I do not wish to hear about your cross dressing habits corporal.
Tais: I say a little prayer for you.
Signum: I don't quite understand by what you mean when you say "say a little prayer for you". Can you hurry up and make some sense? If not, I'm returning back to base.
Tais: (Ignoring her) Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love you!! Forever, and ever, we never will part oh, how I love you!! Together, together, that's how it must be, to live without you, would only mean heartbreak for me!!
*Pause video file*
The look at Signum's face is truly priceless. I don't think she excepted anyone to declare that he loves her. Much less from Tais, who everyone knows, has a major crush on Ginga. Seems like the rumors are true after all and that she has mellowed compared to what she like before. To her credit, she did try to regain her semblance of calm but it was obvious that she was rather rattled. Rather confused and very curious, I allowed Tais to continue. Bad mistake.
*Resume video file*
Tais: I run for the bus, love, while riding I think of us, love. I say a little prayer for you
Signum: That's enough Scien! Stop it!
Tais: At work I just take time, and all through my coffee break-time...ooohhh!!
Signum: This is getting out of hand. I better shut you up now before you do something worse you'll regret later.
*Pause video file*
Signum throws a punch at Tais to knock him out but Tais just gently deflects her attack and got her into an waltz like position with his left hand clutching her right wrist, their bodies close together and his right hand behind her back, in an intimate embrace. Tais just looks at her and said :"I say a little prayer for you". I was laughing rather hard, silently mind you, because Signum blushed rather redly. This was unbelievable. If I wasn't logging this, I would never believe anyone who told me this happened.
*Resume video file*
Tais: Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love you!! Forever, and ever, we never will part oh, how I love you!! Together, forever, that's how it must be, to live without you, would only mean heartbreak for me!!
*Pause video file*
I was pretty surprised that she flinches when Tais mentioned "I love you" during the song. Hasn't anyone ever confessed to her before? I was rather sure that as pretty as she is, she would have been confessed to by many people. Clearly very off balanced at this point, Signum did tried to free herself from this awkward situation she was in but she failed.
*Resume video file*
Tais: (Staring into her eyes) Darling believe me, for me there is no one but you!!
Signum: (Caught up in stare) Scien, listen. Y-Y-You're not t-thinking straight. I'm ...
Tais: (Softly) Please love me too...
Signum: (flinches)
Tais: I'm in love with you!!
Signum: !!!
Tais: Answer my prayer babe... Say you love me too!!
Signum: ... I cannot...
*Pause video file*
Okay, clearly she has been affected by the amount of emotion Tais is projecting. I cannot say I wasn't affected even though I wasn't the target and that I have no actual body to feel with. It was that powerful that I thought I would crash for sure this time.
Aa! Megami-sama! I can't believe that it was Signum he was actually in love with and not Ginga!! I've always thought Tais truly loves Ginga but this seem to be proving me wrong.
*Resume video file*
Tais: Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love you!! Forever, and ever, we never will part and I’ll love you!! Together, together, that’s how it should be, to live without you..... Forever, and ever, you'll stay in my heart and I will love youuuu!! Together, together, that’s how it should be and I love you!!! Forever, and ever, that's how it must be, to live without you, would only mean heartbreak for me!! Together, together... Forever, and ever...
*End video file*
Wow! That was intense! As much as I wanted to cheer Tais on, I couldn't. Tais is only human and will grow old and die one day while Signum will probably continue on, remaining as young and beautiful as she is now until she decides to ends things. This thought soon turned sombre as one day, I too will have to say goodbye as well. I hate to say it, but I've grown to like this silly man. As Tais ends the song, he slowly leaned forward uttered a few words and kissed her.
At that moment, all my respect, admiration and sorrow I felt for Tais earlier simply vanished and was replaced with anger. Anger at my own stupidity for believing in such a tremendous idiot. Seems like Signum also felt the same way as she began to beat Tais into a literal bloody plup. Can't say I blame her. If it was anyone else with one possible exception, they would have done the same.
She really, really took out her anger on him by giving Tais every kind of non-lethal, non-permanent injuries, and I do mean every. You name it Tais has suffered it. Seems like Tais will be in the hospital for months this time. I guess she decided to grant mercy to Tais even though Tais did not deserve it. The reason for the anger can be attributed to those words he uttered just before he kissed Signum. He said...
*Start audio file*
Tais: I love you very much Ginga-san.
*End audio file*
Remember I said earlier that alcohol made Tais rather delusional? And that there seemed to have slightly more beneficial effects on Tais than negative ones? I'll take it all back now. Tais in his drunken state seemed to be so delusional that he has mistaken lieutenant Signum's image and voice to be that of Ginga's. Well one thing is for sure, it is 120% certain that Tais only have Ginga on his mind. Maybe that's why Signum decided to grant Tais mercy.
I must strive to keep Tais away from the alcohol from now onwards, lest I fail my duty again. I'm sorry Tais, for failing to keep you safe from your own depthless stupidity. ~End log~
It proves one thing. She thinks about him, so he is very important to her and he is an important part of her life. He may not appear on screen, but he is with Nanoha all the time. In her thoughts, and in her heart.
So, if you extrapolate, you have that I would have Satashi in my mind all the time, I would be always thinking about him/her, because he/she is the most important part of my life, only because I remembered without thinking that she released her last fic 3 days ago.
NO -_-

It depends, if both of you sleep together every night in a giant bed, the answer is “subtext”.
Well, I'm going to sleep right now, it's 3:40AM here.
I'm reading your history tomorrow tshouryuu

PD: realmente la gente de este foro no deja de sorprenderme, que grupo tan curioso hay acá xD, casi que me arrepiento de haber empezado a postear, la gente aveces sale con cada cosas xD.
So, if you extrapolate, you have that I would have Satashi in my mind all the time, I would be always thinking about him/her, because he/she is the most important part of my life, only because I remembered without thinking that she released her last fic 3 days ago.
NO -_-
You said it yourself. 3 days. In Nanoha's case, it has been YEARS doing it.

Sorry, that basis doesn’t make sense for me.
I see. So you just go for the yuri and making love scenes. OK, no problem.

Actually I knew that. I just wanted to make sure.
So, wherever you go, you know exactly who is there. You must be some kind of God.

I have my own translations too.
Good for you.

You know, girls dont mind sleeping with other girls. The fact that they are sleeping in the same bed does not mean they are lovers and make love every night.

Quizas es tu primera vez en un foro asi. Mejor aprende a respetar lo que le gusta a otras personas, asi como nosotros respetamos que a ti te gusta NxF.
I'm very sorry for this, Satashi. I just cant stand it any more.
EDIT: I missed this line because you edited:

A better basis would be: "Pair the 2 characters with more popularity and with more screentime in the series", not at contrary.
That's the most bullshit I've ever heard from you tonight.
(Sorry Satashi, Jena, and Fuyu, for the aggressive comments)
And this is no longer becoming a fanfic dicussion forum!
I can't even post my fic ideas or excerpts for fear of being ignored and poured over by other people- no offense Saati-kun for that- my skills a a bit low in the Nanoha department- you have the right to pour me over...
What i mean is being poured over by people with narrow views- and will only comment/appraise a work due to the pairing... this is sooo CCS-fandom-ish... move on!

Spoiler for what i might do in the next 24 hours:
I'm, sick of this...
I'm calling the supervisor to clear things!
Guys like it was said, let's just drop it now. Arguing with people with closed mind is like trying to move a wall with the sound of your voice. At the end you're out of breath and look like funny.
Besides, I'd hate to not be able to discuss things in here casually anymore.
So like Saint X said, let's drop it all here and go on with fanfics.
Ok so in a semblance of trying to get back to normal, heres the next part of my fic, reposted from the OC thread... :heh
Still no action (dodges projectiles) but we're getting there
Spoiler for Training Part 2:
Tuesday 0600
The sound of the helicopter rotors was deafening. We were now on the way to the MD6 base after some last minute changes to the exercise. To my left the Spellblades were sitting at the back of the craft, huddled together. No doubt they were talking about what was actually happening today as inter-unit training wasn’t exactly common with the Enforcer corps. It was much more prevalent between the three main branches of the TSAB’s armed divisions. And to my right was the first team of the Weavers. Why they had been asked along still baffled me. I can’t see them lacking on observers to the fight.
**** Monday 0900
“Captain, Lt Colonel Yagami is on the line for you.” William reported.
“Could you patch her through, thank you.”
Second later the connection established itself. “Captain, what may I do for you. The message you left with Shari has left me very interested.”
I saluted. “Yes. As you are aware, the 108th land division has been called away to help with disaster relief. Unfortunately, members of their division had been scheduled to run an exercise with my third squad tomorrow.”
“I see, so you want to pit your members against my unit?”
She was straight to the point. A rare quality in the armed forces. There has been countless times when I had to run around in circles, figuratively and literally to try and get results and answers from various members of the armed forces. “Yes, that is indeed my intention. Permission to speak freely?”
“Granted.”
“I’ve been looking through your mission logs. Although you have been fighting drones, there will be a time in the future when you and your team will come face to face with human opponents. My exercise will give them that experience.”
Her left eyebrow rose, “Are you trying to imply that our training is insufficient? That we would let someone get away.”
“Yes madam, I am. Although your squad leaders have ample experience, they are not able to be everywhere at once. Your rookies will have to step up to the challenge and if they are unfamiliar with dealing with human opponents, then a failure of mission parameters will occur.”
She smiled, “You raise some interesting points Captain. Very well I agree to your request.”
I bowed, “Thank you very much madam.”
“However there are some conditions. I’ve looked over your squad’s line up. In order to counter the difference in mage ranks, one of my commanders will be involved in the exercise as well.”
“That is acceptable. Actually, more mages would be better.” Another eyebrow at this, prompting me to explain, “I’m sending a copy of the exercise to you now.”
As she skimmed through the report, I took the brief respite in the meeting to compose myself. ‘She might be young but she is definitely not just some ‘honorary’ Lt Colonel.’ What little background information I had been able to find now made a lot more sense, now that I has talked to her.
“Very well, we’ll make the necessary arrangements. Just a second Captain, I’ll check with our trainer to make sure that this won’t be disrupting anything important tomorrow.”
I nodded. “Ahh Nanoha, are you free to talk.”
I could see a glimpse of another display to the Lt. Colonel’s right. A figure in white and blue was on the display. “Hayate, what is it? I’m a little distracted at the moment.”
“CROSSFIRE SHOOT”
Another voice. Suddenly the other screen was filled with the trails of a golden spell. I gasped. ‘She’s talking back to her CO while still in a training exercise. Either she’s highly skilled or has lost some screws in her head.’
“Just wanted to check that nothing important is happening tomorrow. An enforcer squad want’s to have a skirmish with us.”
“REVOLVER SHOOT”
“Accel Shooter. Sorry, could you repeat that last bit Hayate, I couldn’t hear what you said.”
“I SAID, AN ENFORCER UNIT WANT’S TO HAVE A SKIRMISH WITH US.”
“Ah, ok that’s fine. Give me the details at lunch. STARS 1 out.”
I stared, dumbfounded at the screen. ‘Who the hell is that person.’ I mean, I had heard rumours but I had just dismissed them. She turned back to me and I quickly stood back from the display. ‘Hopefully my expression is still the same as before.’
“Ok, everything is approved Captain. Just two more things. Could you bring some other members of your unit with you? Also I see that the exercise was to be held in the abandoned ruins. Do you mind if we hold them here instead?”
I shook my head. “No, that’s perfectly acceptable.”
“Then I’ll see you and your unit tomorrow then at 0630 hours.”
Saluting again I said, “Thank you madam.”
The display disappeared. As I moved to shut down the console, her voice came through the speakers. “This is going to be so fun. Some more people to test my outfits on.”
“Wai-desu!”
I sweat dropped… ‘What in the world are they talking about.’
**** Tuesday 0625
“We’re approaching the base now, everyone to your seats and get ready for landing” The pilot yelled.
As we approached I could see everyone looking out of the windows.
“Whoa, this place is huge” Juliet said.
“I wonder where the exercise is going to be held, I can’t see any buildings that we could use”
“It’s probably hidden around the corner. I mean look at the size of that building, it’s massive compared to Enforcer barracks.”
The helicopter touched down on the roof of the building. To the right of us a Stormraider was beginning to power down. Its rotors slowly spinning. I nodded at the Blades, and they pulled the side door open. As we disembarked, it was my turn to add to the comments of awe. ‘This is one lucky unit, everything here is either new or has been refurbished.’
Opposite us, the doors to the building opened. I moved forward to see who had arrived. Two uniformed females in the ground uniform came through the doors. One was about Meia’s height while the other was even taller than I, her pink hair flowing down to her waist. The taller of the two surveyed the group before stopping at me, ‘What’s this feeling, it seems like she’s ready for combat at all time.’
The pair saluted and I returned it. The taller of the two began to speak, “Captain, it’s good to see you. I’m Lieutenant Signum of Mobile Division 6.” Gesturing to the brown haired person next to her she continued, “This is First Private Shario Finieno. She’ll be recording today’s exercise.”
“Nice to meet you both. Are we ready to begin?”
“Yes, Both squads are waiting for us by the training area.” She turned and pointed down to the lake. “If you’d all follow me, we’ll make our way down there.”
“You heard her, let’s move out!”
“Yes sir.”
As we made our way through the building, I was shocked at the space inside. In comparison to the Enforcer barracks, this place was like a mansion. I could hear the Blades talking about the building behind me.
[If you’re not talking about the exercise, shut it. Talk about it later, after this is done.]
Their thoughts came rushing back to me, [Yes sir.] I could sense their embarrassment at being caught.
The landscape surrounding the building was as stunning as the building itself. We could see the lake from the buildings entrance and I could just make out figures in the distance. “That’s our destination?” I asked Signum.
“Yes”
“Blades, warm up. One lap around the building first, then you’ll meet us down there. I expect you to get there just after we do.”
“Yes sir” They moved off at a light jog, splitting apart from the rest of us.
Reaching the lake’s edge, we could finally see in detail they squads of MD6.
“Captain approaching.” Signum called.
The group snapped to attention. As one they saluted. We returned the salute.
“Ok, get ready everyone; we’ll get started in 10 minutes.” Unlike the others, this one wore the white uniform of the instructors. She walked up the stairs to join us.
“Captain Takomachi Nanoha, your reputation precedes you.”
She smiled. ‘Hopefully she doesn’t smile at me directly… I might melt if she does that too often’, “Likewise. The Spellweavers under your command have created some impressive victories in the last few years.”
“I’d like to introduce you all to the Weavers here today. Weaver 1, Meia, formally my second in charge but now leader of the Weavers. Weaver 2, Juliet and Weaver 3, David. The rest of the squad couldn’t make it today. The Spellblades will be here shortly, I trust that everything is ready for the exercise.”
“Of course. Everything is ready…” She trailed off..
“But?” I prompted.
“Our other commanders aren’t here to greet you.” Behind us I could sense another group approaching. ‘Hmm doesn’t feel like the Blades.’ “Ahh here they are now.”
Turning to look behind me, a group of 5 were approaching. 4 females and 1 male. No wait; there are 6 different magical signatures there. I scanned the group again but couldn’t see anyone else. Just behind them I could see the Blades, waiting patiently behind the group. As they got closer I finally realised who the 6th signature belonged to. ‘No wonder I couldn’t see her, she is quite small isn’t she.’
In deference to her rank, we saluted the group. “At ease captain. We’re just here to watch today. Although Vita here will be involved in the exercise.” She stepped forward from the group, standing separate from the others before she continued.
“This is a joint exercise between the 85th Enforcer unit and Mobile Divison 6. This will be a simulation exercise where the enforcers have infiltrated a city to retrieve information. That was successful but they were spotted before they could make it out of the city.
That brings us to Mobile Division 6. Our job is to hunt down the enforcers and make sure that they don’t escape. That is all. Captains, if you could go over the simulation brief one final time. The rest of us will be stationed around the area to respond to any accidents that may occur. The exercise will start in 5 minutes time.”
I gathered the Blades together. “So, everyone know the plan?”
“Yep, no problems here.” Isamu said.
****
I motioned to Vita and Shari to come down the stairs.
“Nanoha-san, we’re going to fighting them today right?” Subaru asked.
“Mou, did you listen to what Commander Hayate just said” Tia replied as she wacked Subaru on the back of her head.
“Ouch.. Tia what was that for?” cried an indignant Subaru.
“Now, now..” I said, “Everything will be fine. It’s just like training.”
“Um Nanoha-san, what happens if we hurt them.” Caro said.
“Don’t worry Caro, they’re all well trained.” I replied. “Just a few more things to add, we’ll be using drones as well to look for them. Make sure you don’t attack them ok?” They nodded. “Also Vita will be there as well so listen to her instructions.”
“Ok! Let’s go!” Subaru said.
“That’s the spirit!” I activated the screens, forming the holographic city. The pad shimmered for a second before the city rose into place.
“Wah! Look at that Isamu.”
“Whoa, how come we don’t get this stuff back at HQ?”
“How many drones do you think should be used?” Shari asked.
“Hmm, 20 should be enough. B rank attack and speed for 16 of them. A rank for the rest.”
“Ok”
2 minutes remaining before exercise start, could all participants enter the city limits.
“Ahh, I nearly forgot. Shari, send the city map to the Spellblades.”
“Ok Nanoha, everything’s ready.”
“Raising Heart, set up please”
With a flash, my barrier jacket materialised. I picked Shari up and flew to the top of one of the buildings within the city.
1 minute remaining before exercise start. Barrier jackets and devices standby.
Voices could be heard from all around the city.
“DAEDRA
STORMREAVER
ULTHAMAR
STRADA
MACH CALIBUR
KERYKEION
CROSS MIRAGE
EISEN”
“SET—UP!”
Could someone check the spelling of Caro's device... I don't think its correct (don't have acess to the episode atm)
These events are all happening just before they go on their break (um episode 10 of StikerS I think...)
Again comments welcome

Reason: changes to caro's device name

I'm, sick of this...
I'm calling the supervisor to clear things!
Sure, you can delete my last 2 posts if you want. I dont really care. As Satashi said, its like talking to a wall.
But letme tell you one thing. Relationships are part of fanfics. A huge part, in fact, because most fanfics are about them. So do expect similar conversations whenever a romance fanfic is released again.
I know... but some of the posts here are on the borderline of insult- will not say whose side... but you all know your sins- i have been looking at this thread since my last post- busy in the OC thread- before the call for stop and the responses have been too iffy.
And what we really need is comments about the flow of the story, not just what pairs are there and how they live it up- perhaps how they live it up but one has to remove their affiliations in the meantime... I'm currently transparent in the state of parings here so i really don't mind, but one comment after countercomment can't really help in highlighting points in thoughts and such...
I don't know if my mind is that complex, or i'm really foolish, crazy or just plain baka
