If an American author made a fictitious country with 50 states, would you be puzzled where the number 50 came from? Same thing here.

nope. there ain't going to be a second season of claymore. it'd be better if they did an oav in the future that very much follows the manga version. that'd be nice.

The problem is that they diverted away from the manga in the last six episodes, that there's really no possible way for them to get themselves back on track. Madhouse will either need pull off a FMA: Brotherhood or they will have to take the story to a completely different direction for the second season.

I doubt they'd continue on directly, unless they either tried to pretend the final eps didn't happen, or created some very shaky writing to somehow merge the stories back together. Either way neither are good ideas.

What is more likely is that they'd just start from the beginning again, however since the story is moving at a comparatively slower pace than other manga it seems unlikely that Claymore as a story will be finished anytime soon. Consider that we haven't really progressed that far since the Northern War. It wouldn't take long for episodes to catch up unless they took the route of adding in filler story (which isn't typically popular among fans).

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they do go back in the next decade and revisit Claymore as a "new" potential anime. Remaking or continuing popular licenses isn't unheard of for the industry. But I wouldn't hold my breath on it happening anytime in the next five years.

I'd love to see OAV's of the side story chapters.

Oh man, I can't tell you how much I would pay to see a Luciella vs Isley battle fully animated

I think once we get to the 120 chapter mark having a second season starts becoming much more reasonable. Mind you, they'd have to re-work the ending of season 1 somehow after episode 20. Not that anyone would mind.

Now if they'd only do what I want: add some really dramatic Shostakovich/Beethoven background music. Trust me, once you hear the results, you'd want that too. The music they have now is ok, but for Jean's death scene, I want something REALLY MOVING.

Those composers I mentioned did a phenomenal job conveying emotion. They did compose during the "romantic" period after all! In fact, it's fair to say Beethoven started that era.

Here's why just a little classical music would do Claymore wonders...

It just looks and sounds so much more magnificent. (wipes tear away from eye)

That music IS beautiful Reven!! that's the kind of music I expected to hear from the Persona songs, at least something similar anyway.

Who's this person on Youtube anyway? He's got all these "manga chapters up", does he just post them and add his own music?...........COOL!!

Yes he does. Unfortunately, youtube stripped many of those songs of their audio, rendering them much less enjoyable chapters to read. If I were uploading claymore, I'd have classical music or godfather-like music on them all the time.

That ultimately was XRixox's undoing. His godfather music on claymore chapter 61 got stripped, as did about half of the other posted chapters' music. However, due to the efforts of other new posters, some of these chapters are being reposted with non-copyrighted music.

By the way, there isn't any way to do "Force Lightning" through a computer is there? Come on Shiek, it's Revan! We've been over this so many times already!

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, this is why I can't put up with Youtube anymore. I got nearly a 1000 favorites, but over 2/3 of that is either filtered because of copyrighting, or completely deleted. -_-

I know what you mean. They finally deleted the english version of "Howl's Moving Castle" this month, along with "Spirited Away" on youtube. Thankfully those bastards haven't gotten their hands on the German versions! That's right, speaking German finally pays off! Eat it youtube...I can watch claymore dub in German if you're going to wipe out all the english versions.

Revenge I find is a dish I find best served in German! That's right youtube, eat your hearts out! You and your non-existent German copyright protector aren't about to stop me watching those vids!

@ revan: writing from germany, I can asure you, no such luck ^^

on that matter, If you do know german, you should have noticed that the english translation of claymore is much better. In fact, the german voice over on the official DVDs is so bad that I wont even waste a single swearword on it - not only did they manage to make mistakes in translation so obvious that even I, not speaking a single word of japanese notice them since dialogs just do not make sence at all at times, they also seem to have paid a bunch of non-proffesionals picked up from the streets 20 bucks each for reading out the dialogs - that's what it sounds like read out, not SPOKEN. apart from that, german subs, while a diffrent matter, also seem to be worse quality as far as ive seen.

Buy the english dvds, that's what i did after reselling that german voice over dvd crap via ebay.
Anyways, watching it with original voice is much nicer anyways

as for the music, beethoven is nice, but an already composed piece of music wouldn't work in synch with the story. what they should have done is a real soundtrack, mostly based on classical music but at times going into rock or heavy metal as in blood+ for instance. mind, after having seen about a quarter of it(blood+) i don't like the style much - but they did the music "consistently" assigning individual characters individual thems, having different introducing themes for the two opposing main groups, differing music for each scene depending on mood, a certain style forcontemplative scenes and another for fights etc

that's the kind of work i'd hope to see put into a soundtrack for a claymore OAV, something that offers the big bang for the crazy fights but also pays due attention to underlyining the different characters in essence something that ADDS to the story's unique elements and style.

anyhow beethoven seems much better than what they came up with in the anime ^^

Well, now that you mention it, the lack of depth to the voice acting is more apparent. It is true I didn't quite feel the personality behind any of the characters. Miria especially...

I remember her taking on the Awakened Being with six arms...

At this point Miria's three companions had just been cut down and were gathered together, bleeding...

Miria glares at the awakened being...
They have a short exchange of introductions...
Here comes Deutsch (German) Miria's big chance to introduce some real emotion into her character. Kommt schon Frau (come on woman!), your three comrades are nearly dead due to this bastard. Put some viciousness into your voice...

"Sagt mir wer du bist!" ("Tell me who you are!") Totally flat effort, not even adding depth to the character at all. Totally blew the chance to add some real pizzaz to the situation by acting her lines out incorrectly.

Is there someone that can provide a link of that Yagi's interview in which he said he would end Claymore at volume 25?

The topic's been brought up here and elsewhere on more than one occasion and I just wanted to read it. For some reason, I'm unable to find it.

I made some vidz on my own and uploaded them but avoiding wmg is really a hard thing
I liked xrisox chapters very much and downloaded most of them so i can watch them at home

as for music
beethoven eroica is great for example the second track(marcia funebre) would be cool when clare fights against priscilla. It was great when McQueen fought chiggy van richthoven

As i understood it yagi wrote them as secret documents of the organisation. But they are not completely consistent for example they explain the half-awakened state. This should not be known by the org so far according to rubel. The problem is that they are mostely in japanese and it is difficult to get the proper scanslations. Big parts of them aren't even scanslated until now.
