No ones going to pay attention to the foreshadowing. How Mumei says early on everyone like her eventually became kabane and then later on it appears the kabane at smoke core looked very more human than other kabane still having color to its skin most likely a kabenri that turned. She even gasped when shooting the core. No one has bought this up...

The railroads are in good condition because most of the bases have just fallen. In the course of this series 3 bases have fallen.

I wouldn't put Tenchi in there, except maybe for Sasaki. And there were a fair number of big eyed characters in Slayers (Sorcerer Hunters, as well), but they were never nearly as bad as that "90s anime" example, and a number of the characters—including women—were fairly normal by the standards of any decade.

I think this decently captures the common difference when it comes to hair, eyes, and nose. Now, these differences are common, but not universal. And some shows sort of blend the two - the Nanoha franchise has 90s-style hair and eyes, but also very tiny-to-nonexistent noses.

I'll check it out when I have time. Delta looks promising. It seems they break the tradition of Macross love triangle annoyance. So, it doesn't have "you are both my wings" funkiness.

I doubt. They have three's company. They don't have threesome, nor love triangle.
Ayame looks lonely in the upcoming episode. No one is forming angle with her, only her own golden triangle.

Episode 7:

Ooh relaxing episode. A breather like this around the middle of the season seems suitable. I got some laughs out of it too with the dialogues especially at Mumei and Ikoma's conversation. At the same time, I'm glad to learn more about Mumei (including her original name).

Mumei's brother Biba is a mysterious individual...bet his fighting skills are among the elites of those Hunters.

Excellent episode, it was pretty simple to be honest, good music, nice moments between the characters and we were able to see a different side of this world full of desperation and tension.

This time we got a nice info dump about Mumei and her past, obviously it was just a bit but fr me that's enough since she literally showed her childish attitude, same thing goes for Ikoma who's a more confident MC able to really improve his situation, his abilities and even better, his relationship with Mumei.

What was the most funny part of this episode was watching Kurusi being shy and concerned about Ayame all the time, I bet he loves her to the point that he wants to protect Ayame at all cost just to stay at her side.

Now Mumei's brother is on the stage, leader of the strongest batallion able to wipe out the Kabane. I don't have a really good feeling about him, and seems like Ikoma knows something about him.

same, to me he feels like the evil mastermind

also when ikoma was going about returning mumei to a human and wiping out the kabane, anyone else thought that he was raising a death flag for mumei at every line ? XD

That was a nice breather episode. We learned a bit more about Mumei. She showed more of her childish side and she had some nice moments with the passengers on the train. Ikoma also got to improve his relationship with her.

Kurusu is so shy and awkward around Ayame. It's cute to see.

Mumei's brother is definitely shady. It's reasonable for Ikoma to be suspicious of him.
