If Spain keeps missing their chances like this, they won't hold well in the knock out (if they can get there)...

I means Honduras left them so many rooms for goal, and it's not like referee go against them

At least they're scoring, unlike England. Gah, I actually dozed off watching them play on Friday.

As much as I hate KJI, I fear an equal amount for the safety of NK team.

It makes me think back to what Saddam's two sons would do to Iraqi athletes that performed poorly.

*Shudder*

Spain gets their campaign back on track with a good 2-0 win and Chile qualifies with a 1-0 win over Switzerland. Spain have a 1 goal advantage over Switzerland now. But Spain have to face Chile in their final match while Switzerland faces Honduras. Spain would want to win at all costs as Switzerland would fancy their chances against Honduras. Another group going down to the wire - only Group G has been set thus far.

Zidane's press conference on French implosion. I'm surprised he didn't headbutt the female reporter who spearheaded the assault questions upon him

It was also his sister? Here I was, thinking it was only his mother.

Today we'll have 4 games in which two are at the same time? I don't like it.

What will you follow? For me, probably the Urugway and Argentine.

Great work New Zealand, I really feel for them. I just can't believe the refs award the penalties when THEY SHOULD know Italy's reputation for diving in the box. I mean refs should go into the game aware of that type of stuff. Once again it seems like alot of refs are making poor decissions in this world cup. Why don't they stand up.

I know the pain NewZealand must of felt. NewZealand should of won that game. Heres a famous video from 4 years ago,

Australia hasn't been doing too well this time round, 4 - 0 loss to Germany was heavy. Unintentional red card to Kewel. But if Ghana knock over Germany, Australias in with a good chance. If Ghana loose or draw, Australias going to need a mircle performance.

Not necessarily. Australia has a chance to pass Ghana also if Germany has a good showing against them.

For example, let's assume that Germany beats Ghana 3:0 (sounds high, but if Germany manages to score first, it's certainly not impossible that they'll score high against Ghana, who would then be forced to open up and attack - ask the Aussies). Then Australia would need to beat Serbia with 2 goals difference. Long shot? Maybe. But miracle? I don't think so. Those would be normal results.

So, if I were an Ozzie, I'd loudly cheer on Germany should they score the first goal.

You speak truth ^_^

Australias game follows Germany/Ghana. So they will know what they need to do when the time comes. I am a little worried however since Kewel who is Australis best player will be out no matter what happens.

From infostrada: There were 67 goals in the first 32 matches of the 2010 World Cup. Breaking the record low of 75 set in 1990 and 2006.

I'm pretty sure that both games go simultaneously. To prevent exactly this kind of "playing for a result"

As long as we win, and Ghana wins or Germany wins by a lot, then we're all set.

And remember, it would be even lower if it hadn't been for the shellacking that Portugal put on NK... though 67 is impressive in and of itself!
