^Magic power is closely related with strength in that world, it could even be called Stamina, Ki or Nen I think.

That's the reason that Demons are stronger than hyumans. Mio and the Arachnes are beings made purely by magic power if I'm not wrong. Dragons too I guess.

I think the difference is if they use magic to increase physical strength or launch magic, but i'm lazy to read again now and confirm this

The dagger already has a backstory it was part of Toa's family's heirlooms that she belives then became part of Shen's horde after one of her ancestors failed in an attempt to kill her. Reclaiming it is Toa's sole reason for being in the wastes to begin with to beat Shen and reclaim it. It would be kinda dream crushing to just hand it over.


Toa: I will reclaim my family's honor by retrieving the dagger from the horde of Shen
