Syn grinned lightly when her knock on Vivio's door was answered almost at once. The smell of crab cakes came at once and her stomach growled rather loudly from it. "Um, hi." She greeted the blond, who was trying to repress a smile. "Something smells good."
"I thought it might be easier to talk over dinner." Vivio closed the door behind the girl and helped her take off her coat before hanging it up in the closet along with the long green scarf that followed.
"You love food don't you?" Syn went to the kitchen and inspected everything. "Every time we've gotten together lately it's been with something to eat."
Vivio hummed while thinking on it. "True, but you're the one who loves food, Miss Chef."
With a grin, the blue haired girl handed Vivio a spatula to flip the hamburger sized creations that were pan frying. "So, you sounded pretty eager to have me come over tonight to talk about things?"
"Mmmhmm, but it can wait for now. How was your day? I want to hear about this new job of yours. The... third one since we met?"
Syn blushed at the words. "Well, in my defense, I was only fired once. I quit my second job because I was scouted for this one."
"Scouted?" Vivio began to plate the finished food and offered one to Syn. "What do you mean?"
Taking the platter, the girl walked to the living room to sit on the floor across from each other at the coffee table. "Someone heard about the new menu at Wanyuu's and came to test it. Reaching over, Vivio took their plates and placed them into the kitchen before sitting next to Syn when the couch was claimed. "What do you want to know about it?" When Syn looked hesitant, she gave a soft smile. "Just say it. Really, I know you're not trying to offend me... Right?" The girl felt a small bit of happiness at Syn's hesitance to speak before thinking.
"Right." Syn nodded. "Bluntly, how often do you have sex?"

"I hope you do." She grinned, trying to make it less awkward. Getting a smile back, she leaned forward and hugged her. "Syn, please try to understand me. If you can get used to this-"
"I'll try." Syn hugged her back, pulling her closer. "I can't promise you anything but I'll look at some of these... But please understand that it might-"
"Push you farther away, I know." Vivio leaned away and smiled as best she could. "I want you to know that I'm waiting to sign a contract to farther my career."
"Why?"
"I'm hesitant."
"Why?"
"Because of you." Syn opened her mouth to respond but Vivio kept going. "I know, Syn, I know. But I can't help but hesitate. I want to do everything I can to try and make this work. I won't put all of this on your shoulders, I will work at it as well. I promise."
Syn felt a warmth seep into her and pulled Vivio to her once more. "Vivio?"
"Yes?"
"...Your hair smells really nice."

"...Thank you." Vivio blushed lightly and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry I misunderstood."
Syn drank some more and smacked her lips. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yes?"
"In these rooms... do you...you know?"
Vivio gave her a small smile. "The floors are padded fora reason, Syn. But no, I don't do it. Yes it's done here but...How many times must I tell you? I'm an adult entertainer, not a whore." Vivio nodded and moved to the door, turning down the lights to dim and turning on the music. "I have two rules... no touching and when I say no, it means no." Vivio told her gently as she started to dance slowly in front of the girl. "But... Because it's you... I wouldn't mind it." Her bra was dropped to the floor and she crawled onto Syn's suddenly stiff body. Straddling her waist, she began rocking gently to the rhythm of the music.
Slowly, Syn's arms wrapped around the girl's waist and let them feel the movements under her warm palms.

"I need to get back to work now," she told her girlfriend with a smile and kiss to the cheek. "Watch me on stage, okay?"
"Yeah." Syn nodded and was lead back to her couch on the floor room and sat down.
"Want something to eat?"
"Sure."
Vivio looked around a moment. "Okay, I'll send someone out here to service you."
"I've been serviced enough, I think." Syn smiled and got a happy look. "How much longer are you working tonight?"
"Sorry, probably another six hours. You don't have to stay all night."
"I'll stay a while then, at least see your next show." She leaned back on the couch. "Much better than being at home."
"Silly." Vivio shook her head. "Okay, I'll ask one of the people up here I know to come take care of you. I probably need to talk to my temperary boss too about my last situation."
Syn caught Vivio's hand when she tried to walk away. "Hey, what was that about?"
"He got touchy and I told him I'd leave if he didn't stop, so I did." She gave a wink. "I'm going to be sweet talking people and doing more dances so just trust in me, okay?"
The girl met Vivio's eyes and smiled at her softly. "Okay, I'll try my best to accept it... I trust you, Vi-er, Eyes."
"Good." She squeezed Syn's hand and ran off backstage. Upon entering she was greeted with a few cheers and a couple of mixed feeling glances. "Hi, um, sorry about leaving the last guy."
"It's fine," A girl told her happily, nuzzling up against Vivio. "I did it last week."
"Hi Ginger," Vivio grinned. "Speaking of, do you have anyone you're catering too?"
"Nope?"
Vivio pointed out the one-way mirror. "That girl, blue hair. Syn's her name. Will you service her?"
Another girl laughed. "The one who punched out Bunny? Deadly!"
Vivio smirked. "Where is that girl?"
Ginger replied, bending over to inspect Syn. "Got sent home. Anyway, is Syna good tipper?"
"She's probably broke." Vivio reached into her garter belt and took out a few large bills. "Here, go give her a fun time. Tell her I personally sent you okay? I want her to have fun." She held up a finger. "But she's my girlfriend, so don't make me look bad okay?"

"Thank you," Vivio trotted over to it and started inspecting while Ginger left the room.
Syn looked up as a girl sat down next to her. "Hi!" Ginger greeted happily. "Eyes told me to come keep you company, she even paid for everything so don't worry about tips okay?"

"Now," Ginger leaned against her and held up a menu. "We have a five star place right next to us, tell me what you want to eat... besides some nice apple pie."

The music cut down a little and she was given a microphone to speak into by one of the girls she had made friends with that night. "Hello everyone," her standard greeting came without even thinking about it. "I hope everyone is having a fun night tonight." Several people cheered at her, including the small number that she had taken to a back room. Them and their friends were screaming the loudest, probably having heard stories of wild acts that never took place. "I'm glad to be a guest here at Peaches and I hope to meet many of you again sometime. If you want to talk to me, come check my website and remember that the girls here have their profiles on the company's page as well so look us up okay?" She winked at them and got a few more catcalls.
walking off the stage, she shook her backside for them one last time before finally being able to change into a pair of black jeans and a Orange turtleneck. Her hair was let down and she adjusted it to prevent it from sticking to her clothing before bidding her partners of the night a goodbye.
Several people stopped her to talk a moment on her way out and she gladly shook their hands, blushing at the compliments and request for her phone number. Half way through a bouncer finally got to her and escorted her to her car to prevent her from having to stay all night and talk. After finally getting to leave the place, her phone was picked up and glanced at while driving. A message from Syn requested a message when she got home and she contently sent it once she was back at her apartment.
Sleepily she made her way to the bedroom and fell onto the sheets, still dressed, and hugged her pillow. Before she could do anything else her phone rang out at her and was quickly shut up when she pressed the speaker button on it. "Hi Syn," She greeted, voice muffled by the feathers beneath her face.
"I was worried you wouldn't get home." Syn's sleepy voice told her, obviously having just woken up. "It's... Good lord, Vivio, it's three in the morning."
"Yeah, they work me pretty bad on guest appearances... But hey, it gets me more subscribers." A small sigh came as she shifted to get comfortable. "Did you have fun tonight?"
"Yes, it was... interesting to say the least."
Vivio's lips turned up slightly. "Must be, I've never heard you hesitate to say things like you did tonight. Your face was so red all night long. I swear ginger was always laughing when I saw her."
"She was a nice girl, a friend of yours?"
"Mmhmm, did she take care of you?"
"Yeah, She was fawning over me all night and gave me so much alcohol I thought I was going to have to take a taxi home." Syn yawned. "I'm going to go to sleep... I'll see you tomorrow after work?"

The girl smiled at herself in the mirror and batted her eyes after the light mascara added to her lashes. A small hint of lipstick was applied and a spritz of perfume finished her off.
One of her extra fuzzy sweaters was pulled over her head carefully and then smoothed out over her body. Next she pulled up a pair of baggy jeans and fastened a belt around them to keep them over her slender hips. Finally she grabbed her money and placed it into her purse. The music was cut off and she ran out the door into the brisk air. 'My first time to see Syn's apartment,' She breathed out happily and ran the rest of the way to her car.

At once the smell of air freshener came to her and she smiled at it, obviously having just been done.

Vivio looked around the loft and grinned. The whole living area was one room, something that she rather liked. What caught her eye the most, however, was the clutter laying around. "Slightly messy, I kind of expected that."
"Hey, I just finished cleaning!" Syn retorted without stopping to think about it.
"Oh?" Vivio looked over at her while taking off her coat. "So it's normally really messy? Yeah, I figured."
"Oh hush." Syn rolled her eyes and pushed Vivio to the couch. "So what did you want to talk to me about?"
Vivio hummed and took out the folder sticking out from her purse. "Well, I wanted to go over a few things with you, about my buisness."
"Eh?"
"Well, I really want this to be a serious relationship and all so... I want to ask you what you're comfortable with me doing?"
"I don't understand?"
Vivio opened the folder and reached into her purse for some reading glasses. "I need to sign this contract and put down everything that I will do.... I'd like you to give me your thoguhts."

"Yes, well... You're not the only one who needs to adjust to things. I will change too. If you don't want me to do something, we need to talk about it."

This is a pretty interesting situation right now. Obviously with that career path this sort of thing does make sense. Could be a bit tough since I'm sure Syn doesn't want to just slash 3/4 of the options right out of it. Well I'm sure both will work on a middle ground kind of thing. Still could be a pretty entertaining chapter in terms of negotiations. Content aside discussing career situations isn't something strange for a relationship at that stage.

Anyway, on to different matters. I thought this one up in the shower last night. I don't know why every time I go into the shower I seem to come up with ideas for Fate-based crack fics. My wife may need to investigate this phenomenon. I suspect she may bring the rolling pin on this investigation.

The good thing about mechanical enemies, as far as Enforcer Fate T. Harlaown was concerned, was that there was no need to hold back. Capture and arrest were not the goals; she could freely attack with lightning as well as purely magic damage.
The down side was that the enemies were rarely programmed for capture, either.
Four close-combat drones, vaguely humanoid, covered in reflective physical and barrier armor, wielding clawlike energy blades at the end of their six articulated arms, swarmed after her like ants on sugar. They'd taken down her aide Teana Lanster already, and the orange-haired girl could only watch, half-conscious, as Fate strove to hold the mechs off.
Fate's Device, Bardiche, was in his Riot Zanber form, two four-foot beam swords connected by a glowing cable. Fate's skill was dizzying; she attacked and parried with a speed and awareness of her position that showed off why she was the Bureau's close-combat expert. Several severed limbs already twitched and sparked on the floor. But not even Fate could keep up such a pace forever. A blade crashed into her stomach; her Barrier Jacket stopped it from penetrating, but it still drove the breath out of her. More hits followed, hits with purpose. The left sword was jarred from her hand, then a moment later the right. Without Bardiche she'd be helpless; she made a desperate grab and managed to catch the tether by its center.
"Sonic Move."
It was Bardiche that acted; magic surged through Fate and she spun the blades, the astonishing speed of her Sonic Move imparting tremendous velocity to Bardiche, converting the swords into a spinning disk that shredded whatever it hit. Fate was quick to keep going, and by the time the hilts slapped into her hands twenty seconds later, there was nothing left of the robots but scrap metal for the forensics squad to analyze.
"Wow!" Tia gasped, struggling to her feet. "I've never seen fighting moves like that before!"
"Me, either," Fate said. "Bardiche started it and I just went along. What was that, Bardiche?"

Good Lord. I think your wife really needs to start investigating where you come up with this awesome, hilarious stuff.
Bardiche's last line was just pure win. The thought of him saying "Yo" is enough to make me fall out of my chair with laughter.
But anyway. A quick short that came to me today in school during study hall and wouldn't leave me alone. It's set in my Bless the Broken Road timeline, so Nanoha is only about... 12, I'd say, since it occurs after Elise gives her a gun. Consider this a gift to enjoy until I actually turn out the chapter itself.

“… She really… almost killed someone, didn’t she?”
There was a long moment of silence as Elise lifted the coffee mug to her lips and drank, needing to feel the warmth run down her throat; Fiasse waited quietly, gently scratching Kuon behind the ears as the fox-girl sat next to her, not yet comfortable enough with returning to her secondary form. Elise brought the mug back to the table with a soft clink, gripping it tightly with both hands.
“Yes.” Her voice was soft. “Yes, she did.” She closed her eyes. “It’s my fault.”
“Elise, no.”
“It is, Fiasse, and you know it. I was too worried about her. I wasn’t thinking clearly. I dropped my guard, and our assailant took advantage of that.” She rolled her shoulder and winced as the bandaged bullet wound screamed in objection. “If I’d been paying attention, she wouldn’t have snapped.”
Fiasse wanted to close her eyes, but she didn’t dare to; because if she did, the images would play out in front of her again. Elise, falling to the ground, her shoulder stained with blood, her cry of shock and pain still ringing in her ears. Nanoha, staring disbelievingly as the situation unfolded right before her eyes.
And then…
Shuddering, the golden-haired woman gripped Sweet Song tightly between trembling fingers. “Where is she now?”
“Asleep in her room.” Elise’s voice was weary. “She just passed out. She spent all last night crying, so I let her stay home from school. She hasn’t stirred once.”
A moment of silence; Kuon rested her cheek against Fiasse’s shoulder, her eyelids drooping as Fiasse continued to scratch her favorite spot.
“She didn’t kill him.” Elise stared intently at the coffee still in her mug. “She didn’t kill him, and that’s all that counts. The bastard was wearing a bullet-proof vest beneath his shirt.” She grimaced, took another drink. “I know he deserves it, but God, I’m glad she didn’t kill him. She’s just a kid. She’s only a few years older than I was.”
Fiasse looked up sharply, eyes wide; but Elise dropped the subject quickly and met her friend’s gaze, smiling tiredly. “I’ll let her know you dropped by. She’ll be thrilled.”
And just like that, Fiasse knew that topic of their conversation was over.
“Yes.” Fiasse stood, and as she pulled her hand away Kuon transformed into a fox, finally soothed, and bounded down from the couch, darting upstairs. Fiasse watched the fox familiar go, and she paused briefly, gently cupping Elise’s chin to examine her face. “You didn’t get much sleep either,” she said, and it wasn’t a question.
“No. I had to stay with Nanoha.”
For a moment the two women gazed at each other, Elise’s eyes tired, Fiasse’s searching; evidently finding what she needed to see, Fiasse gently stroked Elise’s cheek before leaving, closing the door behind her with a soft click.
Alone in the room, Elise took her final gulp of coffee and lowered her forehead to the table with an audible clunk, closing her eyes and smirking as she chuckled.
“Dammit, Nanoha,” she whispered, and tears leaked out and streaked her cheeks. “I’m so glad you didn’t turn out like me.”
Kuon glanced up briefly as Elise peered into Nanoha’s room. The fox was curled up in the brunette’s arms, gazing up at her charge with worried eyes, but Nanoha wasn’t looking at her. She was gazing quietly out the window, not even stirring as Elise walked across the room and sat on the bed next to her.
“Hey.” Elise didn’t use any terms of endearment; she knew they wouldn’t work right now. “Feeling better?” She reached out and rested her hand on Nanoha’s head, reassured when the girl turned away from the window and sagged against her, her cheek resting against her arm. She still seemed dazed, but at least she wasn’t crying anymore.
Elise ran her fingers through Nanoha’s hair, a gesture meant to soothe. “You want something? You’ve been sleeping all day. You must be hungry.”
Nanoha shook her head wordlessly, gripping Elise’s sleeve tightly between her fingers. She closed her eyes. “Onee-sama…”
“Yes?”
“… Does it hurt?”
Elise’s eyes softened slightly. “No. It’s fine now.”
Nanoha nodded and swallowed the hot lump in her throat. She slowly opened her eyes. “Does it get easier?” she whispered. “The more you do it. Shoot, I mean. After awhile, do you stop thinking about it?”
“Eventually. It takes time.” Elise bit her lip. “But yes, it gets easier.”
“That’s… that’s good…”
Elise wasn’t surprised when the tears started again. Instead, she simply draped her arm along Nanoha’s shoulder and pulled the girl into her lap, holding her as she cried.
“I’m sorry,” she sobbed, her voice ragged and anguished. “I… I didn’t mean to… I’m so sorry…”
Elise rested her cheek against Nanoha’s hair and closed her eyes.

Anyway, on to different matters. I thought this one up in the shower last night. I don't know why every time I go into the shower I seem to come up with ideas for Fate-based crack fics. My wife may need to investigate this phenomenon. I suspect she may bring the rolling pin on this investigation.

The good thing about mechanical enemies, as far as Enforcer Fate T. Harlaown was concerned, was that there was no need to hold back. Capture and arrest were not the goals; she could freely attack with lightning as well as purely magic damage.
The down side was that the enemies were rarely programmed for capture, either.
Four close-combat drones, vaguely humanoid, covered in reflective physical and barrier armor, wielding clawlike energy blades at the end of their six articulated arms, swarmed after her like ants on sugar. They'd taken down her aide Teana Lanster already, and the orange-haired girl could only watch, half-conscious, as Fate strove to hold the mechs off.
Fate's Device, Bardiche, was in his Riot Zanber form, two four-foot beam swords connected by a glowing cable. Fate's skill was dizzying; she attacked and parried with a speed and awareness of her position that showed off why she was the Bureau's close-combat expert. Several severed limbs already twitched and sparked on the floor. But not even Fate could keep up such a pace forever. A blade crashed into her stomach; her Barrier Jacket stopped it from penetrating, but it still drove the breath out of her. More hits followed, hits with purpose. The left sword was jarred from her hand, then a moment later the right. Without Bardiche she'd be helpless; she made a desperate grab and managed to catch the tether by its center.
"Sonic Move."
It was Bardiche that acted; magic surged through Fate and she spun the blades, the astonishing speed of her Sonic Move imparting tremendous velocity to Bardiche, converting the swords into a spinning disk that shredded whatever it hit. Fate was quick to keep going, and by the time the hilts slapped into her hands twenty seconds later, there was nothing left of the robots but scrap metal for the forensics squad to analyze.
"Wow!" Tia gasped, struggling to her feet. "I've never seen fighting moves like that before!"
"Me, either," Fate said. "Bardiche started it and I just went along. What was that, Bardiche?"
"Sword-chucks, yo, sir."

Here,” She showed Syn a sheet and scooted closer to her. “Right here, this is my basic 'will do' list. It says...well, what I'm comfortable with doing. I can edit it once or twice during my contract but this really outlines my upcoming work. The less I have on here, the less money I will bring in. I need to be lenient with it.”
Syn nodded and looked at the list and the check marks next to the words. “Um, what's this mean?” She pointed and got a small giggle along with the answer. “Oh, okay...” she fidgeted in her seat.
“Are you uncomfortable?”
“... A little but not bad. I'm just... you know, saying that my girlfriend will be doing this stuff. It's kind of weird more than being upset.”
Vivio nodded in understanding. “Would you feel more comfortable with it if you saw me doing it?” She got blinked at. “I have my videos, I can show them to you. You watched a few didn't you?”
“Just your solo scenes and webcam recordings.” Syn gave her a light lopsided smile. “I'm comfortable with it, just still weird to me. Anyway, let's see... Strip clubs?”
“Like I was at the other night.”

“Basically more work. I will go around promoting things, do more videos, guest star on other company's videos, and the like. I've already got almost three hundred subscribers to my webpage now, it went up dramatically since my last video.”
Syn nodded and could tell that her girlfriend was proud. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you. Ohhhh, so much to think about now.” Vivio quickly began flipping through the contents of the folder and signing her name to them. “I can't wait to get started!”
“You can't wait to have sex?”
Vivio stuck out her tongue. “Let me see your computer.” The request gained her Syn's laptop after a few moments of waiting for it to be brought to her. “Here, this is your user name and password to my website. I'll save it for you.”
Syn shook her head. “Why do I need that, I have the real thing here.” She wrapped her arms around Vivio and looked over her shoulder at the page. This time she didn't feel her stomach turn but instead felt a small sense of satisfaction that her girlfriend was doing so well in her life all of a sudden. “Hey...” Her arms tightened lightly and she nipped at Vivio's neck. “How about you give me some time right now?”
“Three hundred dollars for the first hour.” Vivio told her casually while closing the laptop. “Just kidding.” She kissed Syn's cheek. “Later, I need to do something first.”
“What?” The blue haired one frowned when Vivio stood up.
“Clean your apartment, it's a mess in here.” She went to the kitchen area and lifted up a plate laying on the counter, grimacing as long stands of left over food stuck it to the platter underneath it. “Where are your cleaning supplies?”
“Don't I have a say in this?” Syn countered her.
“No.” Vivio smiled and looked over at the girl walking to her. “Mou, Syn, you're still so touchy.” She blushed as hands slipped under her shirt and body made her take a few steps backwards to lean against the wall. “Ngghhnn... Let me clean first.”
“I'm jealous,” Syn whispered to her, trying to get the girl's pants unbuttoned. “They get to see you do their wildest dreams and all I got was a lap dance that drove me crazy all night long.”
“Mou, okay...” Vivio grabbed Syn's shoulders and pushed her back until she fell down onto her bed. “But we do it my way.” She smirked and turned on Syn's radio. The station was changed until she found a suitable song to dance to and she smiled at her eager looking girlfriend. “This is a special case, because I'm happy.” She informed her as her hips swayed to the music. “But since I'm working on my time off, you have to as well.”

Syn's hands went up to touch her but were quickly and gently slapped away. “No touching until I say you can.” A cat like grin spread over her face as her already unbuttoned pants fell to the floor to show white stockings, garter belt, and panties. One hand went up behind her head and the other rested on her hip to pose. “Like?”
“Very.” Very breathed out as she was straddled and rubbed on. “Can I touch...?”
Vivio breathed into Syn's ear and spoke into it huskily, suddenly grinding her body against hers. “No...” She licked her earlobe and sucked on it, pinning Syn's hands to the bed.

I don't think she is doing anything, no.” Syn smiled fondly. “I'd love to invite her to come over to meet you and dad.” Her hands threaded through the blond's hair and she had to repress a giggle when the girl didn't even stir from the motion. “Who else is going to be there?” Syn pulled the covers over Vivio's body so she wouldn't catch a cold. “Oh, some important people? Sounds neat, I'd like to meet them. What division are they in?” Syn smiled down at her girlfriend while listening. “Sixth mobile Division, what a bland name.” She laughed softly. “Go ahead and make plans for us to be there, I'll invite her when she wakes up.”

There was a long moment of silence as Elise lifted the coffee mug to her lips and drank, needing to feel the warmth run down her throat; Fiasse waited quietly, gently scratching Kuon behind the ears as the fox-girl sat next to her, not yet comfortable enough with returning to her secondary form. Elise brought the mug back to the table with a soft clink, gripping it tightly with both hands.
“Yes.” Her voice was soft. “Yes, she did.” She closed her eyes. “It’s my fault.”
“Elise, no.”
“It is, Fiasse, and you know it. I was too worried about her. I wasn’t thinking clearly. I dropped my guard, and our assailant took advantage of that.” She rolled her shoulder and winced as the bandaged bullet wound screamed in objection. “If I’d been paying attention, she wouldn’t have snapped.”
Fiasse wanted to close her eyes, but she didn’t dare to; because if she did, the images would play out in front of her again. Elise, falling to the ground, her shoulder stained with blood, her cry of shock and pain still ringing in her ears. Nanoha, staring disbelievingly as the situation unfolded right before her eyes.

Shuddering, the golden-haired woman gripped Sweet Song tightly between trembling fingers. “Where is she now?”
“Asleep in her room.” Elise’s voice was weary. “She just passed out. She spent all last night crying, so I let her stay home from school. She hasn’t stirred once.”

Ohhhh, this works so much better than having it happen in...I guess it would end up being Chapter 3?...of BtBR! Being much younger and still recovering from the trauma of losing her magic(which would help to offset Nanoha's exaggerated I'm-an-anime-kid-and-therefore-as-emotionally-mature-as-most-adults-if-not-moreso emotional development) makes it more likely she'd react first and think later--plus, she'd still be unused to having a lethal weapon at hand and therefore her combat reflexes would still be operating in terms of shoot-first-think-later that one can get away with when flinging around magic damage.
And don't think that I missed Elise's line (emphasis added): "A few years older than I was." You really do intend to torture her, don't you!
Overall, very nice--and I think with some slight rewriting it would go well as a flashback scene in BtBR, as well (good character-defining moments are worth preserving!).

Vivio looked at her for a few moments before she leaned forward and hugged her. “That's the best thing you could say to me.” She got and amused pat on the back and squeezed her one more time before pulling away. “Well then, is there anything you want to ask about?”
“What's different about this and what you do now?”
“Basically more work. I will go around promoting things, do more videos, guest star on other company's videos, and the like. I've already got almost three hundred subscribers to my webpage now, it went up dramatically since my last video.”
Syn nodded and could tell that her girlfriend was proud. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you. Ohhhh, so much to think about now.” Vivio quickly began flipping through the contents of the folder and signing her name to them. “I can't wait to get started!”
“You can't wait to have sex?”
Vivio stuck out her tongue. “Let me see your computer.” The request gained her Syn's laptop after a few moments of waiting for it to be brought to her. “Here, this is your user name and password to my website. I'll save it for you.”
Syn shook her head. “Why do I need that, I have the real thing here.” She wrapped her arms around Vivio and looked over her shoulder at the page. This time she didn't feel her stomach turn but instead felt a small sense of satisfaction that her girlfriend was doing so well in her life all of a sudden. “Hey...” Her arms tightened lightly and she nipped at Vivio's neck. “How about you give me some time right now?”
“Three hundred dollars for the first hour.” Vivio told her casually while closing the laptop. “Just kidding.” She kissed Syn's cheek. “Later, I need to do something first.”
“What?” The blue haired one frowned when Vivio stood up.
“Clean your apartment, it's a mess in here.” She went to the kitchen area and lifted up a plate laying on the counter, grimacing as long stands of left over food stuck it to the platter underneath it. “Where are your cleaning supplies?”
“Don't I have a say in this?” Syn countered her.
“No.” Vivio smiled and looked over at the girl walking to her. “Mou, Syn, you're still so touchy.” She blushed as hands slipped under her shirt and body made her take a few steps backwards to lean against the wall. “Ngghhnn... Let me clean first.”
“I'm jealous,” Syn whispered to her, trying to get the girl's pants unbuttoned. “They get to see you do their wildest dreams and all I got was a lap dance that drove me crazy all night long.”
“Mou, okay...” Vivio grabbed Syn's shoulders and pushed her back until she fell down onto her bed. “But we do it my way.” She smirked and turned on Syn's radio. The station was changed until she found a suitable song to dance to and she smiled at her eager looking girlfriend. “This is a special case, because I'm happy.” She informed her as her hips swayed to the music. “But since I'm working on my time off, you have to as well.”
“What do you mean?” Syn watched the blond move.
“You're cooking me dinner.” Slowly she pulled off her shirt and dropped it onto the floor to show a simple white bra. Syn's hands went up to touch her but were quickly and gently slapped away. “No touching until I say you can.” A cat like grin spread over her face as her already unbuttoned pants fell to the floor to show white stockings, garter belt, and panties. One hand went up behind her head and the other rested on her hip to pose. “Like?”
“Very.” Very breathed out as she was straddled and rubbed on. “Can I touch...?”
Vivio breathed into Syn's ear and spoke into it huskily, suddenly grinding her body against hers. “No...” She licked her earlobe and sucked on it, pinning Syn's hands to the bed.

Syn answered her phone quickly, flipping it open so the ring tone wouldn't wake up the girl sleeping on her bed. Although her treat had lasted the better part of half an hour, she felt rather flustered that she wasn't allowed to touch her not even once during it but at the same time knew that Vivio was just teasing her. “Hi mom,” she greeted the phone contently. “Hm? I'm not doing anything... No, Vivio is taking a nap, she stayed up really late. I'll have to talk quietly.” She paused and sat down next to her girlfriend, who was sleeping peacefully. “Thanksgiving? Sure I'll come. Never pass up free food that you don't have to cook... I don't think she is doing anything, no.” Syn smiled fondly. “I'd love to invite her to come over to meet you and dad.” Her hands threaded through the blond's hair and she had to repress a giggle when the girl didn't even stir from the motion. “Who else is going to be there?” Syn pulled the covers over Vivio's body so she wouldn't catch a cold. “Oh, some important people? Sounds neat, I'd like to meet them. What division are they in?” Syn smiled down at her girlfriend while listening. “Sixth mobile Division, what a bland name.” She laughed softly. “Go ahead and make plans for us to be there, I'll invite her when she wakes up.”
Hm...I'm going to join in with a couple of other people and agree with Syn becoming too accepting, too fast of Vivio's job after the extreme reaction she showed when she first found out. On the other hand, it got me to the point I wanted to see between them, so I don't think I'll complain too much. Especially since it makes me think that I was right and that it wasn't the content of the job so much as Vivio slept with Syn while withholding potential hot-button information that could have affected the relationship.
(It actually reminds me more and more of Fate and Nanoha's fight after the pole dance business in Saved by the Bell, the more it goes on; that is, the fight was all about the relationship subtext and not about the actual subject matter and therefore it's easy for them to come to an agreement about the externals since the externals didn't really matter anyway. My wife and I have had that fight, though never about sex, and it always works out that way.)
But that last paragraph...*shakes head* Way to drop a hammer on us! I always, always forget just who the heck Syn's family is (particularly since military matters are relevant here). Tip for Syn: make sure to say very fast that you had no idea what was going on; you do not want Vivio getting the idea that you were involved in some scheme to reunite her with her extended family, particularly when you're still feeling out your trust issues.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that of all the series regulars, Hayate is the only person who "gets" what's going on with Vivio leaving home and how she ended up without major shock or angst.
The good thing about mechanical enemies, as far as Enforcer Fate T. Harlaown was concerned, was that there was no need to hold back. Capture and arrest were not the goals; she could freely attack with lightning as well as purely magic damage.
The down side was that the enemies were rarely programmed for capture, either.
Four close-combat drones, vaguely humanoid, covered in reflective physical and barrier armor, wielding clawlike energy blades at the end of their six articulated arms, swarmed after her like ants on sugar. They'd taken down her aide Teana Lanster already, and the orange-haired girl could only watch, half-conscious, as Fate strove to hold the mechs off.
Fate's Device, Bardiche, was in his Riot Zanber form, two four-foot beam swords connected by a glowing cable. Fate's skill was dizzying; she attacked and parried with a speed and awareness of her position that showed off why she was the Bureau's close-combat expert. Several severed limbs already twitched and sparked on the floor. But not even Fate could keep up such a pace forever. A blade crashed into her stomach; her Barrier Jacket stopped it from penetrating, but it still drove the breath out of her. More hits followed, hits with purpose. The left sword was jarred from her hand, then a moment later the right. Without Bardiche she'd be helpless; she made a desperate grab and managed to catch the tether by its center.
"Sonic Move."
It was Bardiche that acted; magic surged through Fate and she spun the blades, the astonishing speed of her Sonic Move imparting tremendous velocity to Bardiche, converting the swords into a spinning disk that shredded whatever it hit. Fate was quick to keep going, and by the time the hilts slapped into her hands twenty seconds later, there was nothing left of the robots but scrap metal for the forensics squad to analyze.
"Wow!" Tia gasped, struggling to her feet. "I've never seen fighting moves like that before!"
"Me, either," Fate said. "Bardiche started it and I just went along. What was that, Bardiche?"
"Sword-chucks, yo, sir."
LOL! Yes sword chucks! You know a lot of people seem to get inspired in or right after a shower.

It's set in my Bless the Broken Road timeline, so Nanoha is only about... 12, I'd say, since it occurs after Elise gives her a gun. “… She really… almost killed someone, didn’t she?”
There was a long moment of silence as Elise lifted the coffee mug to her lips and drank, needing to feel the warmth run down her throat; Fiasse waited quietly, gently scratching Kuon behind the ears as the fox-girl sat next to her, not yet comfortable enough with returning to her secondary form. Elise brought the mug back to the table with a soft clink, gripping it tightly with both hands.
“Yes.” Her voice was soft. “Yes, she did.” She closed her eyes. “It’s my fault.”
“Elise, no.”
“It is, Fiasse, and you know it. I was too worried about her. I wasn’t thinking clearly. I dropped my guard, and our assailant took advantage of that.” She rolled her shoulder and winced as the bandaged bullet wound screamed in objection. “If I’d been paying attention, she wouldn’t have snapped.”
Fiasse wanted to close her eyes, but she didn’t dare to; because if she did, the images would play out in front of her again. Elise, falling to the ground, her shoulder stained with blood, her cry of shock and pain still ringing in her ears. Nanoha, staring disbelievingly as the situation unfolded right before her eyes.
And then…
Shuddering, the golden-haired woman gripped Sweet Song tightly between trembling fingers. “Where is she now?”
“Asleep in her room.” Elise’s voice was weary. “She just passed out. She spent all last night crying, so I let her stay home from school. She hasn’t stirred once.”
A moment of silence; Kuon rested her cheek against Fiasse’s shoulder, her eyelids drooping as Fiasse continued to scratch her favorite spot.
“She didn’t kill him.” Elise stared intently at the coffee still in her mug. “She didn’t kill him, and that’s all that counts. The bastard was wearing a bullet-proof vest beneath his shirt.” She grimaced, took another drink. “I know he deserves it, but God, I’m glad she didn’t kill him. She’s just a kid. She’s only a few years older than I was.”
Fiasse looked up sharply, eyes wide; but Elise dropped the subject quickly and met her friend’s gaze, smiling tiredly. “I’ll let her know you dropped by. She’ll be thrilled.”
And just like that, Fiasse knew that topic of their conversation was over.
“Yes.” Fiasse stood, and as she pulled her hand away Kuon transformed into a fox, finally soothed, and bounded down from the couch, darting upstairs. Fiasse watched the fox familiar go, and she paused briefly, gently cupping Elise’s chin to examine her face. “You didn’t get much sleep either,” she said, and it wasn’t a question.
“No. I had to stay with Nanoha.”
For a moment the two women gazed at each other, Elise’s eyes tired, Fiasse’s searching; evidently finding what she needed to see, Fiasse gently stroked Elise’s cheek before leaving, closing the door behind her with a soft click.
Alone in the room, Elise took her final gulp of coffee and lowered her forehead to the table with an audible clunk, closing her eyes and smirking as she chuckled.
“Dammit, Nanoha,” she whispered, and tears leaked out and streaked her cheeks. “I’m so glad you didn’t turn out like me.”
Kuon glanced up briefly as Elise peered into Nanoha’s room. The fox was curled up in the brunette’s arms, gazing up at her charge with worried eyes, but Nanoha wasn’t looking at her. She was gazing quietly out the window, not even stirring as Elise walked across the room and sat on the bed next to her.
“Hey.” Elise didn’t use any terms of endearment; she knew they wouldn’t work right now. “Feeling better?” She reached out and rested her hand on Nanoha’s head, reassured when the girl turned away from the window and sagged against her, her cheek resting against her arm. She still seemed dazed, but at least she wasn’t crying anymore.
Elise ran her fingers through Nanoha’s hair, a gesture meant to soothe. “You want something? You’ve been sleeping all day. You must be hungry.”
Nanoha shook her head wordlessly, gripping Elise’s sleeve tightly between her fingers. She closed her eyes. “Onee-sama…”
“Yes?”
“… Does it hurt?”
Elise’s eyes softened slightly. “No. It’s fine now.”
Nanoha nodded and swallowed the hot lump in her throat. She slowly opened her eyes. “Does it get easier?” she whispered. “The more you do it. Shoot, I mean. After awhile, do you stop thinking about it?”
“Eventually. It takes time.” Elise bit her lip. “But yes, it gets easier.”
“That’s… that’s good…”
Elise wasn’t surprised when the tears started again. Instead, she simply draped her arm along Nanoha’s shoulder and pulled the girl into her lap, holding her as she cried.
“I’m sorry,” she sobbed, her voice ragged and anguished. “I… I didn’t mean to… I’m so sorry…”
Elise rested her cheek against Nanoha’s hair and closed her eyes.
“You have nothing to apologize for.”
Aww, so cute/sad at the same time! It's pretty tough out there for Nanoha. Can't wait for a real chapter!

Oh wow, that is so weird. I was going to mention how I really miss Nanoha and Fate because we always get Elena to give advice to Syn but Vivio doesn't have anyone. Also that wouldn't it be very interesting if Hayate and co. showed up and found Vivio and also found out what she is doing. But look! It seems like you're already on that track so I can't wait to see what happens.

Syn doesn't know the significance of it, though--she only knows that her family Thanksgiving dinner includes some bigwigs from the "6th Mobile Division"; Syn doesn't know that's basically Vivio's adoptive extended family. She's probably say something to Vivio like, "You're invited to Thanksgiving dinner; my parents want to meet you. Who's going to be there? My parents, and some other guests too, a bunch of big-shots from work."
The real question is, will Satashi get the Thanksgiving dinner chapter posted on Thanksgiving?

“... What's away 'entertaining'?”
“If I go on the road somewhere to meet some important people, I would 'service' them sexually.”
“Is that legal?”
“That's why it's called servicing. It implied bringing them drinks, talking, entertaining and the like, but you really know what it means.”
“Basically it means they'll send you to seal deals? You're okay with that?”
“I will entertain them, it doesn't mean I will do sexual things. If I'm advertising a new sex toy and they want to watch me use it, I don't mind. I'll say no if I don't want to do something... I'll probably be wearing nothing or sexy lingerie though. That okay?”
“Well, I trust your judgment...” Her words trailed off as she thought about what she just said. “Yeah... Yeah, you know what?”
“What?”
“I trust you.” Syn handed the papers back to Vivio. “Do what you do, I'll support you.”
Vivio looked at her for a few moments before she leaned forward and hugged her. “That's the best thing you could say to me.” She got and amused pat on the back and squeezed her one more time before pulling away. “Well then, is there anything you want to ask about?”
“What's different about this and what you do now?”
“Basically more work. I will go around promoting things, do more videos, guest star on other company's videos, and the like. I've already got almost three hundred subscribers to my webpage now, it went up dramatically since my last video.”
Syn nodded and could tell that her girlfriend was proud. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you. Ohhhh, so much to think about now.” Vivio quickly began flipping through the contents of the folder and signing her name to them. “I can't wait to get started!”
“You can't wait to have sex?”
Vivio stuck out her tongue. “Let me see your computer.” The request gained her Syn's laptop after a few moments of waiting for it to be brought to her. “Here, this is your user name and password to my website. I'll save it for you.”
Syn shook her head. “Why do I need that, I have the real thing here.” She wrapped her arms around Vivio and looked over her shoulder at the page. This time she didn't feel her stomach turn but instead felt a small sense of satisfaction that her girlfriend was doing so well in her life all of a sudden. “Hey...” Her arms tightened lightly and she nipped at Vivio's neck. “How about you give me some time right now?”
“Three hundred dollars for the first hour.” Vivio told her casually while closing the laptop. “Just kidding.” She kissed Syn's cheek. “Later, I need to do something first.”
“What?” The blue haired one frowned when Vivio stood up.
“Clean your apartment, it's a mess in here.” She went to the kitchen area and lifted up a plate laying on the counter, grimacing as long stands of left over food stuck it to the platter underneath it. “Where are your cleaning supplies?”
“Don't I have a say in this?” Syn countered her.
“No.” Vivio smiled and looked over at the girl walking to her. “Mou, Syn, you're still so touchy.” She blushed as hands slipped under her shirt and body made her take a few steps backwards to lean against the wall. “Ngghhnn... Let me clean first.”
“I'm jealous,” Syn whispered to her, trying to get the girl's pants unbuttoned. “They get to see you do their wildest dreams and all I got was a lap dance that drove me crazy all night long.”
“Mou, okay...” Vivio grabbed Syn's shoulders and pushed her back until she fell down onto her bed. “But we do it my way.” She smirked and turned on Syn's radio. The station was changed until she found a suitable song to dance to and she smiled at her eager looking girlfriend. “This is a special case, because I'm happy.” She informed her as her hips swayed to the music. “But since I'm working on my time off, you have to as well.”
“What do you mean?” Syn watched the blond move.
“You're cooking me dinner.” Slowly she pulled off her shirt and dropped it onto the floor to show a simple white bra. Syn's hands went up to touch her but were quickly and gently slapped away. “No touching until I say you can.” A cat like grin spread over her face as her already unbuttoned pants fell to the floor to show white stockings, garter belt, and panties. One hand went up behind her head and the other rested on her hip to pose. “Like?”
“Very.” Very breathed out as she was straddled and rubbed on. “Can I touch...?”
Vivio breathed into Syn's ear and spoke into it huskily, suddenly grinding her body against hers. “No...” She licked her earlobe and sucked on it, pinning Syn's hands to the bed.

Syn answered her phone quickly, flipping it open so the ring tone wouldn't wake up the girl sleeping on her bed. Although her treat had lasted the better part of half an hour, she felt rather flustered that she wasn't allowed to touch her not even once during it but at the same time knew that Vivio was just teasing her. “Hi mom,” she greeted the phone contently. “Hm? I'm not doing anything... No, Vivio is taking a nap, she stayed up really late. I'll have to talk quietly.” She paused and sat down next to her girlfriend, who was sleeping peacefully. “Thanksgiving? Sure I'll come. Never pass up free food that you don't have to cook... I don't think she is doing anything, no.” Syn smiled fondly. “I'd love to invite her to come over to meet you and dad.” Her hands threaded through the blond's hair and she had to repress a giggle when the girl didn't even stir from the motion. “Who else is going to be there?” Syn pulled the covers over Vivio's body so she wouldn't catch a cold. “Oh, some important people? Sounds neat, I'd like to meet them. What division are they in?” Syn smiled down at her girlfriend while listening. “Sixth mobile Division, what a bland name.” She laughed softly. “Go ahead and make plans for us to be there, I'll invite her when she wakes up.”
It was a bar. One would notice it right away thanks to the smell, the noise and, if one still doubted it, the ambient on it. Two random guys, who we will call Vice and Chrono though that may not be their real names.
Both of them were on a table, not knowing each other but joined thanks to a special objective. A girl with a certain guy. The guy was feminine enough for someone to not notice that he was… strange. But he was not the prey of the game, no. The prey was the woman. As they defined her on one word. Hot. Or in two words. Really hot.
“I bet you,” Chrono said defiantly. “Twenty dollars that you can´t…” The rest of the sentence was unsaid when Vice just nodded and left the table. He had an ace on his sleeve.
“Excuse me can I talk to you for a second?” Vice asked to the g…uy. He just nodded. For the sake of the story we will call him Yuuno though again that may be an alias.
“Sure,” he nodded. Turning around completely he asked interested. “What can I do for you?”
“Here is the thing, my friend over there,” You can guess where he was pointing. “is a little shy. So he asked me to be his intermediary to ask you if you could take a drink or two with him.” He said normally. Yuuno looked curiously at Vice. He just nodded and Yuuno understood completely. He left as quickly as he had arrived. “Now for the easy $20…”
“My lady,” Vice said gentleman-like. The woman, who we will call Nanoha for the sake of it, turned to him. “I am quite honored to meet you,” He said while he bowed as best as he could while sitting. He was in full gentleman mode and no woman, okay maybe a few could resist it, but that was not the point.
She smiled. She was falling for it, he thought. After all making a girl smile was the first step to conquer her. At least it was on his book. “Sorry but,” and here it came an excuse. He was prepared for it and would answer it and would leave the girl speechless. He was preparing for it. “I am a lesbian,” And as fast as the thought of having won arrived it left. And in its place the feeling of a crushing defeat formed.
In the background, one man was pursuing other. Life was certainly unfair.

*chortle* Vice should have known he was in trouble when Yuuno took the bait. Despite the fact that he was sitting...at a bar...with a girl Chrono and Vice had decreed to be "hot."
(Incidentally, was this meant to be a parody/takeoff on something else as well as just funny? It didn't ring any bells with me, but it had that kind of "you ought to recognize this" sense about it, if you know what I mean.)
