Right, first of, TK's rant was not even aimed at Kha, it was aimed at me. What happened is that Kha recognised a lot of the things going on, and realized he was walking on the same path I was about to head of too. This has nothing to do with Tk, but ever more so with Kha. He made the decision that he was going about things the wrong way, to blame Tk for this would be ridiculous.
Kha loves to walk the same path I do, canon intergration. This is a path filled with many pitfalls, but dodging those is the sheer joy we get out of it. Yes, we fall into them on ocasion, and sometimes we lose ourselves in the joy and crack. Kha's decision to go back and redo the story of der Kleriker is his own, Tk was simply the catalist. Of course, it still remains to be seen how much of what Kha has created has to be scrapped. Sakurazaki, for example, still has a lot of potential. We know next to nothing about the history of the Ancient Belka, and with the way StrikerS treats history, we never will. History is like an open playground where we can do a lot, and show its subtle influence in the present characters. Take Saga, for example.
What Tk said to me was from one writer to another. He wasn't simply bashing my idea -because, believe me, if he was simply bashing my idea he would have been laughed at at best- he was giving constructive critisism. Reasons for why I should not do this, and even ideas which would achieve the same goal without going through the whole artificial mage ordeal. He saw a character he liked, and he saw her creator making a fundemental change he did not like one bit. Most people would have gone on a mouth-frothing ramble (and would have been promptly ignored) He went on a constructive ramble, not only giving his point of view, but also giving sugestions.
That is what struck me. Not the fact that he didn't like the idea, but the fact that he went through such great length to see the character that he liked stay that way. I write for two reasons, one is my personal enjoyment, and the second is the enjoyment of the others in this thread. I was estatic when I realized that for the people in this thread, Keroko had become as much part of the cast as Nanoha or Fate. That was the entire idea behind Keroko, and it's what I love to do here, to write for mutual enjoyment. I will never write something I don't want to, but I won't write something that will destroy the image of Keroko either.
Tk stopped me from making a stupid move. I wanted a link with the Ancient Belka, and I tried to do so through Keroko. That was unnecisary, and Tk got that message through to me. This is not to say that the idea is dead, quite the contrary, the second Primarch of her Holiness, Lady Alistina Carter, is already making progress. The only difference now is that she has no link with Keroko, bar slight apearance. I still get to dive in Ancient Belka, get an extra link between Vivio and Keroko, and Keroko's background stays intact to boot.

Things don't get right for Yutaro/Hikki, as he's forced to perform the forbidden ability for the sake of Freya.
The LOL part of Nanoha mages that can counter an RM is the ability to teleport out of it. While Nanoha and Hayate seem to lack that ability, Arf, Shamal and Yuuno can do Mass Teleports, so while it is difficult to implement, one can just warp out of it as long they have a mental picture of where they are going. And it'll be really h4xx is that same mage can surround a anti-teleport barrier around the RM... I can envision Kluize doing that, but no one else...
No I haven't given up; It did drop me on my butt and I've been thinking of how to balance things. Tk has got somethings right, and he has pointed out where some unecessary fat were and I overlooked it in my frenzy.
To be honest, the version of AlternateS used for the NBC timeline is rather different from Saint X's original, partly because some parts I feel didn't fit Nanohaverse no matter how hard I tried. (Sorry X! ) Like how I brought in Keroko not as Nanoha's sister, but a distant cousin who was taken into the family, or how Tesla appears as a missing page of Nighty's take on the YnS. I tried that much to make things that border outside canon and put it inside, to the extent of subtly modifying others OCs without prior permission. But I didn't subdue myself, and went over the edge. That's a double standard.
Thanks for jumping in like that, and I don't believe I'm that great to deserve most of the remarks there... But I'd be really sad if my little emo episode tore the thread apart. Thanks anyway.
The point is, I wanted to create a canon Kha that would fit nicely, but apparently he doesn't quite fit. And there are several other regions where there can be improvements.

Why do I see some stuffs getting way too serious regarding the integration of OC universe with canon universe? Come on, as much as we're concerned about that issue, that's not the main reason we're here.
THIS IS OC THREAD, AND WE ARE THE WRITERS.
Why are we doing this? Because it's for fun. We didn't ask for money, and we certainly didn't ask for fame (although appreciation do make us flattered). If we don't like creating stuffs and such, then we shouldn't have asked Skyfall to create this thread for us.
With this place established, we can do things that is seemingly impossible to do in canon timeline. I mean, why do we have so much Reality Marbles-type abilities and characters that seemingly stolen from other series? It's because we have found the way to get over the impossibility that is canon.
I have to admit, when I first created my original character (this before I ventured into the world of Nanoha) I thought I could explore some of the aspects canon timeline didn't touch or left out. Take Guilty Gear: there were debates whether the Holy Orders should exterminate non-fighting Gears or not, and I took the chance to fill in the void by creating a Knight who understood Gears better than anyone else.
Alright, back to Nanoha Universe.
I realized there was something different about this universe when I first watched A's, and I found out that it had things that awaited further explorations. Here, the role of original characters take over. Of course, we have to abide by some laws (like no overpowered characters are allowed, or the OC has to fit in his/her particular role). And with StrikerS ended, it leaves us with many potentials to explore some things canon left out, whether deliberately or by accident.
Besides, where else can we see Erio establishing an all-loli harem and a Belkan mage learning the art of Gun Kata?
To answer the question: why am I here?
Because I found that one of my OCs (in fact, he's my very first original character) would perfectly fit in Nanoha Universe, and I'm left with the task of further expanding his already dynamic background. This doesn't include the fact that there are many things I can do with Nanoha Universe without jeopardizing the original premise.
Am I afraid of breaking the canon boundary?
Why should I? Hell, I could have Hikki married to Nanoha and have Fate hooked up to Shinnosuke.
My advice to those who find this place overwhelmingly dangerous to conquer and/or doesn't compute with canon: don't mind us. If you don't bother us with issues that certainly ticks some of us, then we won't do you the same. If you want to join us, we warmly welcome you with open arms but do remember to pay us respect. Don't bitch around just because your ideas and/or opinions contradict with us.
If you can't take part, then don't join in the first place.

Erio and E were separated from the main group. Having lost in the myriads of human, they navigated all the way towards one of the booths to rest. The boys were feeling unlucky; they were treated like minorities as the girls and women indulged in endless fun and excitement below there.
A faint ruffle caught their attention, followed by a low moan. “What is that?” E asked.
“It’s coming from behind the bushes,” Erio spoke.
They approached the bushes. They listened to the peculiar voice. Carefully, they closed in their distance as not to startle whoever beneath the bushes was.

“Erio-kun…” They stared deeply into his eyes, caringly, affectionately, alluringly. Then, in the saddest voice intonation they could muster, they murmured: “…dame?”
Nove and Cinque left them behind and met up with the rest of the group. There, they saw Fuuko endlessly pestering Ginga with her fluffs (much to the chagrin of Subaru and Teana). “Now what?” Nove asked.
“But Oneechan, Fuuko wants to have candy!” Fuuko was heard complaining. “Buy Fuuko some candy, please?”
“Didn’t you already eat all the candies I bought?” Ginga sighed.
“Yada! Fuuko wants more candy!” Fuuko growled and clung onto Ginga, frantically shaking her body. “Ne! Buy Fuuko some candy! Ne!”
“Fuuko-chan! Watch where your hand is!!” Subaru shouted.
“Eh?” Unknowingly Fuuko grabbed Ginga’s cleavage, squeezing it as she did not know what the thing was. Ginga gasped in shock and moaned as the cat-girl continually squeezed her load to examine it. Subaru, Teana and Keroko blushed at the sight, as so did Arf who proceeded to cover Zafira’s eyes.
(Erio and E arrived, just in time to see Fuuko kneading Ginga’s bosom and not taking care of the woman’s cries. The two boys bled their nose profusely due to the scene.)
Fuuko finally lifted her hand. “Ginga-oneechan’s oppai is surely squishy,” she murmured. She looked up at Ginga, giggled and buried her face in her chest. “And it’s so soft, too…”
“Fuuko-chan, dame!” Ginga tried resisting Fuuko’s dangerous physical contact, yet the cat-girl persisted and nudged her nose against the secret valley. “Fuuko-chan!”
Everybody bled their nose. Even Erio, E, Arf and Zafira found themselves bleeding profusely due to Ginga’s moan of mixed pleasure and misery.
“Holy crap! That cat-girl is doing this and that to Ginga!” a passer-by shouted. “GO FOR IT!!!”
“BANZAI! BANZAI!” a group of people hooted in approval.
“AH~~”
75 percent of men died with a happy look on their face. And this included Erio, E and Zafira.
“Kami-sama, you simply rock!” they murmured.
Ignoring Fuuko and her fluffs, Nove and Cinque approached Aura and Takeru, the former wrapping her arms about his body. “Where are Yutaro and Freya?” Cinque asked.
Takeru pointed to the hilltop temple. Nove and Cinque looked at the direction, and then looked back at Takeru. “What are they doing there?” Nove asked.
“Oneechan and Yutaro-kun want to be left alone,” Aura said.
Nove blushed. “You mean… they’re going to…” Unable to suppress her burning imagination that had gone wild, Nove was knocked out and collapsed to the pavement (before Cinque caught her in her arms).

They were alone. Sitting on the temple’s wooden corridor, Hikki and Freya gazed into the starry sky as they were eating their ice-creams. There was much to be shared between them from they day they first met. Occasionally they would laugh at the embarrassing things they had to face, especially those that involved their most intimate interactions. Hikki would take turn telling stories (most of which was fabricated on the spot) and playing the guitar he brought along to entertain the girl, and was pleased to see her smiling at his performance.
“Say, Yutaro.”
He put down the guitar. “Yes, Freya?”
Freya finished the last piece of ice-cream. “If we’re coming here next year, will you visit me again?”
Hikki frowned. He never expected the kind of question to be asked. He felt his heart throbbing in pain. He did not understand why he was hurt by the question, or why he was not pleased by the fact that it was spoken by Freya.
“Yutaro?”
He shook his head. “Uh… when? Next year? Sure; I see if I can come here again,” he replied.
Freya was unsatisfied with the answer. “Are you sure? You don’t sound like you want to come again,” she said.
He tried smiling in a miserable way. “Of course I want to see you,” he uttered. “Because you’re my girlfriend, right?”
Freya growled. “You have something to tell me, right?”
They heard someone coming from the bushes. They looked at the source of the voice and saw Poseidon walking towards them. Hikki was not pleased when he saw the tiger’s smug as it approached Freya.
“What do you want this time?” he demanded.
“Nothing,” Poseidon replied and threw its sight into the sky. “I thought I could spend this time to have some words with you.”
“What do you mean by that?” Hikki snorted.
Poseidon glanced at Freya. The girl noticed it signalling her to leave them alone, and nodded. “I guess I’ll see you before the firework display starts,” she said and placed a kiss upon Hikki’s cheek. “Don’t go anywhere, okay?”
“Nah, he won’t have to,” Poseidon answered before Hikki did. The boy glared at the tiger, which merely grinned at his reaction. “So, what should I talk of,” Poseidon said and jumped off the corridor.
“What do you want to talk about?” Hikki spoke.
It took a while, as Poseidon became mute. Hikki waited for its answer, and the waiting was starting to annoy him.
Finally, “I know what really happened, Gale Whistler.”
Hikki twitched. “What does… that supposed to mean?”
“Admit it,” Poseidon continued. “You don’t have much time to spend here because you know the effect of the remedy isn’t going to last, so you decide to spend as much time with her as you can.”
Hikki lost his judgment. He threw a fist that was incredibly caught by Poseidon’s paw. The boy went berserk and attacked Poseidon from all directions. Poseidon grinned and merely parried the boy’s attacks, casually synchronizing its steps with Hikki’s. “Besides,” it uttered and dodged a roundhouse kick, “there’s already someone else named Yutaro.”
“SILENCE!!!!” The young boy lost all his logics and seized a nearby branch. He maddened the attack and relentlessly pushed Poseidon to the edge of the hill. Poseidon continually parried the boy’s blows and not made any step to counterattack.
"It's not that I wanted to impersonate him or something for my own benefit!"
"Then why haven't you thought of the consequences of fooling everyone?"
The attacking spree stopped. Hikki was too tired to continue beating the white tiger. “Then why are you making fun of me along this time…” he spoke in hoarse voice, his last fist rested upon Poseidon’s paw.
“I thought you’d go and tell her the truth,” Poseidon spoke and let go off the fist. “But you’re either too ignorant or just don’t want to hurt her. Am I right, Gale Whistler?”
Hikki frowned. “I don’t know if I should…” He dropped onto his knees and shook his head in dismay. “How am I going to tell her?”
Poseidon said nothing. It looked at Freya, noticing that she had eavesdropped on the conversation and watched the one-sided battle in shock. “Ah, crap,” it murmured.
“Tell me it’s not true…” Freya spoke. Poseidon, instead, gestured her to approach the distraught Hikki. “Please tell me, Poseidon… if you truly know the truth, then why didn’t you…”
“It’d be better if he tells you,” Poseidon answered.
Freya turned to Hikki. “Yutaro… is it…”
Hikki stood up. Slowly, painfully, he approached Freya and took her hands. Holding them in weak manner, he pulled her into his embrace and held her as tightly as he could. “I’m sorry, Freya…” he murmured, his voice choking in sobs.
“Yutaro… you’re crying…” she gasped.
He shook his head. “It’s my heart…”
“No… you’re really crying…” She gasped again when Hikki tightened his arms. “Yutaro, what’s… the matter?”
“It wasn’t supposed to be like this…” he spoke. “I planned to set up pranks on Riot Force 6 as vengeance. Instead… I found myself falling into a girl who is so honest towards me…” He cried, trembling as he kept Freya firmly held in his arms. “I’m so sorry, Freya…”
“Yutaro…” She pulled slightly away. She stared into his eyes, wiped off the tears that were flowing down his face, and shook her head. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“Because I can’t…” he replied. “I can’t tell you that I loved you when I know it’s going to be a lie…”
She blushed. “You… you love me?”
Hikki solemnly nodded and clenched the hand that was caressing his face. “I don’t want you to know that I love you because I’m someone else,” he murmured. “I just want you to know… that I care of you for what I am.”
Freya’s blushes became brighter. She lost her breath when she felt her heart pounding wildly against her ribcage. “Yutaro…”
“Please, Freya, no more…” he pleaded. “If you’re angry at me for lying at you, then say it. If you want me to leave, then tell me. If you think I’ve done you many pains--”
Freya put a finger upon his lips, silencing his protesting heart. “Yutaro… I… I don’t really mind if you… love me. It’s just that…” She frowned afterward and bit her lower lip. “I’m angry at you for never telling me everything. So…”
She lifted her head again. “So… for punishment… you must kiss me… properly…”
Hikki remained silent. He stared into the girl’s eyes, tenderly, deeply, concernedly. He shrugged. “You know you don’t have to ask…” he whispered and bent down. “You don’t have to…”
Freya closed her eyes. “Yutaro…”
Their lips sealed. It was merely a soft kiss, and it was enough for them to know how deeply they felt for each other. They never let go off each other, wanting their soul to unite in the very moment they hoped to cherish.
Poseidon grinned. “You’ve done it, boy…”
The kiss disengaged. For a moment, the two young lovers stared into each other’s eyes. Then Freya giggled and rested her head upon his chest. “You’re really good at kissing…” she spoke.
“Someone advised me to go easy for the first kiss,” he replied.
The sky rumbled. Hikki, Freya and Poseidon looked up and saw fireworks lighting the night sky. “It’s started already,” Poseidon murmured.
“Yeah, it is,” Hikki said and held Freya close to him.
“Yutaro?”
He looked back at her. “Yes?”
She smiled. She took the hand that was holding her arm and clenched it. There was a look of faith inside her eyes as she gazed into his emerald eyes. “I’ll love you forever…”
He smiled. “Thank you, Freya…”
Oh, dear, looks like Yutaro had scored triple jackpot that night.
So nice...
I think my respect for Poseidon increased.

And just that it was, as the beast and another beast, within a split-second's instant of light, had their weapons each on the side of each one's throat, as the beast in the form of an old knight, held his spear against the younger knight's sword... the blades did not clash, but even then, Lutecia's ears felt something beyond that. The both of them felt it too, just as neither so much moved even with thier blades merely milimeters away from killing the other.
It was a sound that muted their worlds. The sound of 2 blades ripping the wind around it as they embody their spirit as knights.
Am I the only one who figured this out as Zest vs. Isdera?

Anyway in closing about this none of what I said is about making anyone feel stupid, but I just don’t want you to dive into something without thinking it through and considering some of the underlying reason WHY you might be doing it. I’ve done that, done that allot and it fucked me over big time.
Also not getting me annoyed would be wise as when I get really annoyed I start throwing and breaking things.
On that note part of that might be why I liked Keroko so much honestly; her early history struck a cord. I had considerable issues with aggression when I began hitting puberty. Like “Thrown out of several schools because I was fucking bonkers” issues… I was hopped up on about 5 different kinds of medication throughout which didn’t really do much besides give me heart burn, I had no friends, people around me were afraid of me.I was out of control even in a special school for troubled youths I stood out as the absolute worst of the worst it was so bad I wasn’t even allowed on field trips because they were afraid they might not be able to control me outside of the school setting. I’d sometimes spend hours a day locked in a padded room, slamming my shoulder against the door so hard I’d get bruises and screaming obscenities until I was horse.
I never had anyone to “save me” though, I did it myself, sometime when I hit maybe 15 or 16 I began to get back under control, maybe the hormones died down, maybe being such a douche got too hard, but whatever the reason I didn’t feel angry so much anymore. It was too late in someways though I’d effective been forced out of school at around 15 and half and I never did graduate. Still I think that shock of being totally ejected from school, of being SO bad that not even specialists would take me sobered me up a bit.
I calmed down and began to realize I was ruining my life, had already ruined a large part of it all the normal things a teenager dose school dances, dating, hanging out, pranks, etc. I never did that and I can’t get it back, but I can move forward and I am. I’m in college well on my way to a degree I intend to join the military and then the police. I feel in control and on coruse and I’m comfortable for the first time almost since I hit puberty, but all that still happened, even if it feels surreal at times I still did all that and I can still relate to, nor do I wish to forget it. Having been so bad is a constant reminder never to sink that low again.
Still though I feel that going through has somewhat given me a grasp of psychology that’s very useful. Kind of like having “seen” the other side. I know what it’s like to be impulsive, unable to control yourself, just SO mad but not sure why, to be depressed, on medication, off medication, to be ostracized, to be babied. Though I feel much better nowadays I always try to be cognizant of what I’m thinking and why so I don’t do anything stupid. That can carry over to other people if I see someone doing something I think is a bad idea I can’t help but point it out and try to stop them before they do something stupid.
It's also why certain types of angst ridden tools that can't help themselves and just whine and whine piss me off, and why I don't like certain types of stories that just heap misfortune on the characters and never let them have anything good. Sure life has its downs, but it also has its ups and if you really try you can normally make something of yourself, maybe not change the world, but not actively fuck it up more then it is. That’s how I live now, I’m not going to be famous and change the world for the better or go save babies and give all my money to charity, but I’ll endeavor not mess it up any worse then I already have and keep myself comfortable and that's good enough for me.
What happened to me occurred about 5 years later then it did for her, and I got out my funk a different way but I could still relate and formed an instant like for the character and became concerned with making sure she didn’t go to crap. It’s just one of those things where the second you read about some char you go “I like this guy/girl!” and don’t want her to be ruined based on a poorly though out and hasty decision because no one would speak up against it.
The idea of a new Char based around the concept I have almost no issue with, just try to keep her sane. The key here is not to make any one guy TOO super or TOO important to EVERYTHING.

While I may not have had such a tragic past, I was a social failure as well before college. I actually sat down and didn't dance during my first entire prom night due to sheer introvertism.
In a sense, I've modelled young! Aurion in a similar manner.

Your little spiel actually allowed me to realize my high tolerance for harsher verbal treatment. Can't blame me, I had a fair amount of time being around tons of bullies during my childhood. I used to just prefer fighting back but later realized that I can just simply scoff off any insults. That's why I'm not really bothered by cold, hard logic bombs with a side dish of colloquial language.

Sure, it may not tie in with the rest of the OC Timeline stories, but then again he doesn't have or need to.
At least, Tk is not unlike that one guy name Yosho, who proceeded to diss all the people in this thread. Understandable, given what he was seeing, but still it was still quite wrong to suddenly call all of you here demeaning names and such under a sweeping generalization.
Tk as far as I've seen with his criticisms, doesn't try to push his points across by getting people upset. We get thrown off balance because we know that somehow, it's the truth. Sometimes the truth is painful. VERY painful. But then again, if we don't get these kinds of criticisms time and again, who knows what may happen to the integrity of the OC thread in the future.

At least within a given prefabricated story setting, we gain freedom of creation in knowing our bounds and limits. We're not here to break those bounds and limits, we're here to expand on them.
Of course, even that we don't need to have here, as proven by the AU's that have been written, and the fact that there are many stories and settings here that only use the barebones of Canon, and branch of into entirely different stories.

Are you in here because you enjoyed (or not) StrikerS enough to want to write about it?
Are you in here to share your story ideas with others? To contribute? To expand on Canon?
Are you in here for the self-rewards of writing, that the act itself is fulfilling?
Are you in here to garner in fame and attention? To rake in approval? To make yourself known? In the extreme, maybe even wish-fulfillment or ego-stroking?
Maybe you're just here because you needed to get an idea of your chest, and your hand is itching to get that idea written down, and it will nag on you until it materializes into words, phrases and sentences.
Or maybe, you're here because of the community, because of your friends here in the OC thread?
Of course, you may even be here because you enjoy reading all the things posted here, sating your need for good stories, crack scenarios and inspiration?
It could even be as simple as boredom.
I think that many of us have one or more of the above reasons why we stick around in the OC thread, but the biggest question of course is:
Why are you enjoying yourself here?
Even moar win.
As for me, it's a mix of all the above. But I'm here most of all because of all the friends I've made here. You guys make me feel at home.

I have been too extreme at times in doing some of my integration efforts in putting everything together into one phat package until I might be killing someone or something else. (Spiral Nemesis anyone? ) But I was even more extreme to go emo like that... I was really really pissed and yeah said a few things I shouldn't have said.

Why do I see some stuffs getting way too serious regarding the integration of OC universe with canon universe? Come on, as much as we're concerned about that issue, that's not the main reason we're here.
THIS IS OC THREAD, AND WE ARE THE WRITERS.
Why are we doing this? Because it's for fun. We didn't ask for money, and we certainly didn't ask for fame (although appreciation do make us flattered). If we don't like creating stuffs and such, then we shouldn't have asked Skyfall to create this thread for us.
With this place established, we can do things that is seemingly impossible to do in canon timeline. I mean, why do we have so much Reality Marbles-type abilities and characters that seemingly stolen from other series? It's because we have found the way to get over the impossibility that is canon.
I have to admit, when I first created my original character (this before I ventured into the world of Nanoha) I thought I could explore some of the aspects canon timeline didn't touch or left out. Take Guilty Gear: there were debates whether the Holy Orders should exterminate non-fighting Gears or not, and I took the chance to fill in the void by creating a Knight who understood Gears better than anyone else.
Alright, back to Nanoha Universe.
I realized there was something different about this universe when I first watched A's, and I found out that it had things that awaited further explorations. Here, the role of original characters take over. Of course, we have to abide by some laws (like no overpowered characters are allowed, or the OC has to fit in his/her particular role). And with StrikerS ended, it leaves us with many potentials to explore some things canon left out, whether deliberately or by accident.
Besides, where else can we see Erio establishing an all-loli harem and a Belkan mage learning the art of Gun Kata?
To answer the question: why am I here?
Because I found that one of my OCs (in fact, he's my very first original character) would perfectly fit in Nanoha Universe, and I'm left with the task of further expanding his already dynamic background. This doesn't include the fact that there are many things I can do with Nanoha Universe without jeopardizing the original premise.
Am I afraid of breaking the canon boundary?
Why should I? Hell, I could have Hikki married to Nanoha and have Fate hooked up to Shinnosuke.
My advice to those who find this place overwhelmingly dangerous to conquer and/or doesn't compute with canon: don't mind us. If you don't bother us with issues that certainly ticks some of us, then we won't do you the same. If you want to join us, we warmly welcome you with open arms but do remember to pay us respect. Don't bitch around just because your ideas and/or opinions contradict with us.
If you can't take part, then don't join in the first place.

My apology for the speech, but I have to let out what I've felt and thought after reading all the debates in this thread recently.
To my friends here, especially Lowe, Nighty, Aaron, Kha, Liingo, FlameSparkz and Skyfall, I must thank all of you again for being my comrades. Had I not watched Nanoha A's and became involved in this thread, I would have been an anti-social in real life and care of nothing but my own back.

Once again a huge discussion which partially concerns me takes place when I am sleeping.
Right, first of, TK's rant was not even aimed at Kha, it was aimed at me. What happened is that Kha recognised a lot of the things going on, and realized he was walking on the same path I was about to head of too. This has nothing to do with Tk, but ever more so with Kha. He made the decision that he was going about things the wrong way, to blame Tk for this would be ridiculous.
Kha loves to walk the same path I do, canon intergration. This is a path filled with many pitfalls, but dodging those is the sheer joy we get out of it. Yes, we fall into them on ocasion, and sometimes we lose ourselves in the joy and crack. Kha's decision to go back and redo the story of der Kleriker is his own, Tk was simply the catalist. Of course, it still remains to be seen how much of what Kha has created has to be scrapped. Sakurazaki, for example, still has a lot of potential. We know next to nothing about the history of the Ancient Belka, and with the way StrikerS treats history, we never will. History is like an open playground where we can do a lot, and show its subtle influence in the present characters. Take Saga, for example.
What Tk said to me was from one writer to another. He wasn't simply bashing my idea -because, believe me, if he was simply bashing my idea he would have been laughed at at best- he was giving constructive critisism. Reasons for why I should not do this, and even ideas which would achieve the same goal without going through the whole artificial mage ordeal. He saw a character he liked, and he saw her creator making a fundemental change he did not like one bit. Most people would have gone on a mouth-frothing ramble (and would have been promptly ignored) He went on a constructive ramble, not only giving his point of view, but also giving sugestions.
That is what struck me. Not the fact that he didn't like the idea, but the fact that he went through such great length to see the character that he liked stay that way. I write for two reasons, one is my personal enjoyment, and the second is the enjoyment of the others in this thread. I was estatic when I realized that for the people in this thread, Keroko had become as much part of the cast as Nanoha or Fate. That was the entire idea behind Keroko, and it's what I love to do here, to write for mutual enjoyment. I will never write something I don't want to, but I won't write something that will destroy the image of Keroko either.
Tk stopped me from making a stupid move. I wanted a link with the Ancient Belka, and I tried to do so through Keroko. That was unnecisary, and Tk got that message through to me. This is not to say that the idea is dead, quite the contrary, the second Primarch of her Holiness, Lady Alistina Carter, is already making progress. The only difference now is that she has no link with Keroko, bar slight apearance. I still get to dive in Ancient Belka, get an extra link between Vivio and Keroko, and Keroko's background stays intact to boot.
Bravo, and well said. It's good to know that you yourself, the actual subject of Tk's criticisms, take them for what they are, and not be let down much by the superficial harsh tone of the message. And yep, Keroko-chan is a much respected character here in OC, you should be proud

) Like how I brought in Keroko not as Nanoha's sister, but a distant cousin who was taken into the family, or how Tesla appears as a missing page of Nighty's take on the YnS. I tried that much to make things that border outside canon and put it inside, to the extent of subtly modifying others OCs without prior permission. But I didn't subdue myself, and went over the edge. That's a double standard.
