I love the new ending too Very nostalgic and I enjoy the song played as well.
Last week's episode though, man ^_^;; Sweet strategy by the Salmons there. Everyone ended up like Murdoch with the yelling and fighting. Battling one's selves, trying to get the teamwork going. This season is all kinds of fun

That was a fantastic episode - a nice change of pace from all the baseball-centric ones. And the commercial at the end - with the Shimizu siblings reactions - was hilarious.
Spoiler for Reaction Shot of the Week:

19 was a pretty disturbing episode. Goro not only returns to closing, but he's hurt? I hope the sexy trainer saves him from himself - he has no more arms after this one.
Meanwhile, we have the long-awaited Gibson vs. Gibson showdown - and Joe Sr. again shows he's Goro's partner in GAR. But 100 MPH from a 43 year-old?

Season 6, Episode 25 - End of the whole TV series. 6 years of following it. Thank you for the journey. It has been a good ride.
Good move in showing an epilogue in the end credits. If they have followed the manga, they would need at least another 13 episodes to close it off. It is good enough as it is to stop where they did. |

Love is over, but it is eternal.
A fine end to a fine series. It had its ups and downs, things I wished it could have expanded more. I've always liked how the anime throws in extra bits of the life that goes on of other characters ignored in the manga, like Kawase Ryoko and Ayane's relationship with Taiga. But it was great. Spoiler for ep25:

Can't believe major is over, its been a wild ride
The ending was great indeed but it felt a bit rushed. I wonder why everyone is talking about a 7th season,to me the ending of this season was pretty much the ending. (Did they really change that much/cut that much from the manga. Makes you wonder why they put filler in this season and then rushed it,makes no sense.) |

Wow - it's just hitting me now that this was (well, almost) it. After 6 seasons, Major is done as a TV series. Goro will always be one of my favorite characters in any genre. While I never felt any season quite grabbed me as much as the first did, I loved each in their own way.
My assumption is the money just wasn't there for a 7th season, because that certainly would be a logical way to wrap things up. I suspect that was the original plan, and why things seemed a bit rushed at the end. But the end itself was satisfying, if only as an epilogue. I enjoyed the original "Road of Major" version of Kokoro E played over the cast credits, though I would have liked to have seen Komori up there, at least. My wrap on six seasons of the show:
