simp for Lyria

I haven't watched a single ep of Origination, and originally(har har) i don't intend to. Maybe if Nozomi gets that far and I don't get provoked to watch it, I'll buy the boxset. I'm just curious of one thing: Are there more Akari/Akatsuki moments? I'm talking like AtN ep 8 with the roses, something of that level. The funniest 'romance'(i use this very loosely) in the show. Well, Al/Aika is good too, but not quite like Akari/Akatsuki.

And as much as Akatsuki isn't good enough for Akari, you can't deny episode 5.5. So after finishing and loving the series (a short time ago), I've also been going through the picture dramas as well... Not quite the same magic I was expecting, but definitely entertaining and cute. Anywho, does anyone know if they ever released the non-acoustic Yokogao? I've been looking around for it with no success. |

Eri Kawai & Black Gondola
Quote:
I hope it is good, but this lady really deserves some sort of great retrospective type set. It is important to try to keep remembering Eri Kawai and it is great to see current posts about her. I have yet to see a full biography about her. I wonder if I ever will. I think there are (many) things she did that went uncredited. It is amazing, but I think this lady was the best singer I ever heard, especially having listened to her sing live which sounds many times more real than the studio. I have a set of songs on my ipod by Eri Kawai and I would easily hold them up to my favorite albums of all time. It is amazing, how this seemed to just fall through the cracks. Or as it was said in Kimi no Kakera, roughly translated: "In A World that is so cold that It could freeze your heart... All of the things that are important in life, And those that are not important. They all disappear." Or as a slightly older lady than Eri Kawai would sing in the Aria Origination second ending: BaBABaBAbaBAbaBAbABA ...let's begin this again. But what kind of bitter taste of fate is this, Eri Kawai dies days before the Bejing Olympics, an event, especially the opening and closing ceremonies I think for personal reasons she would really much like to have seen. A similar event was repeated days ago, when Barak Obama's grandmother died a day before she could see him elected the President. What Kind of Year was 2008? What Kind of Era is this? Black Gondola Parallel Universe: Ultraman Dyna triumph, self-confidence, Sunny, Bright, acclaim, prominence "Sometimes in life, all we want to do is win - to be number one. You can see this dream in the faces of athletes, politicians, and other champions as they step into the winner's circle. It's all been worthwhile. I'm the best. I've won!" "Feeling good about your accomplishments is an important part of success, but too much pride can lead to arrogance and self-inflation. Check that you are not feeling superior to others. It is easy to forget that individual achievement is not really individual at all. Our talents begin in the Divine, develop with the love and support of others, and only in the end express through us. How can we indulge in excess pride?" The Opposition: Humility, loss of acclaim, loss, defeat, self-deprecating, in the pits, rejection, lack of recognition. The Origination series included all of the critical spiritual elements listed just above making it and proving that it was great, one of the best series ever, and also shows the animation creator at the very height of the animation creator's powers. In my personal opinion, the Opposition won out, and ultimately the series was bitter. My take on the Black Gondola poster picture with the three girls: there are three birthdates included included on the poster for each of the three girls. I think the inside joke is that they are three tens, a ten of spades, ten of wands and a ten of diamonds. The ten of spades is included in the opposition characteristics above.

I believe Kawaki sang several though... Baracarole, Mangetsu no Coruchie, Second Season ~Kibou~, and Coccoro are all listed on the OST. |
