Using the ISU's stock derp gun to grind: Well sure, HE at that caliber will still knock decent-sized chunks off of things even at Tier 10, and breaks tracks and exterior modules. It's just that it's a very low ROF to work with for 60K XP. The HEAT option is just... expensive. Quote:
Though I like to balance that with "Your RBWT drove into the open and I gave it a 152mm surprise with my SU." |

Elited the SU-152 by unlocking the 122mm guns that I'm probably never going to actually use.
Sad part is I got the final bit of XP during a game in which my side went nuts blowing up a fail platoon, then blowing up the people who blew up the fail platoon, then just blowing up. Seeing that the situation was completely unsalvageable I made sure to blow up one enemy tank before dying in a blaze of glory. |

I completed all of my Christmas/New Year's event grinding goals ahead of schedule. Faced with the prospect of this, I've decided to cram in the grind through the AMX M4 45 to the AMX 50 100 before the end of the sale on January 16.
I'll be poking into the Japanese tree at tier 4 once they go on sale, they're not a particular priority at the moment. |

So far the AMX M4 45 grind is... well, the first comparison that comes to mind is the pre-8.8 Tiger grind. Except that now everything else has a comparable fire rate and aims faster.
On the bright side, AP penetration is high enough that I don't have an extreme need for APCR, which keeps costs down. And I managed to use all but three rounds out of my JT88's entire magazine during a Tier 9 game. I ended up rushing an Object 704 at the end when it was looking like it would be a matter of looking like an ammoless chump versus first dying in a blaze of glory. Almost 5000 damage. Some of the ammo was wasted trying to claw through buildings. Well, not wasted. It removed the cover so the friendly arty had a much easier time. |

German open-topped TDs: Making it fashionable to carry more than one HE round again.
(3 HE rounds into the RBWT for maximum damage each) For a bit more context, it was Prokhorovka, my team started south and pushed 75% to the hill, it looked really bad on the road (where I was) but they were actually smart and kept on moving. We won 15 to 5 and I lived, getting 1200 spotting damage on top of my own "I'm gonna die!" shooting. |

I'm interested in these "historical battles" he mentions. Looks like my T-34-85 and PzIV might see some extra use, as well as other mid-tier tanks that normally get annoying MM like the Panther. If WG does this right it could mean a huge change to the way the game can be played.
