there's this news that two Yakuza groups getting into a brawl that involves like a hundred of them in a fancy restaurant in Tokyo that wrecked the restaurant but only one of them gets hurt from said big brawl, that is cartoon y as heck.

This was sad, I almost got it that ranko could've run away with him.
Panda indetity was revealed, her story and suehiro story too. Quite the chapter and a really good one. The bad thing about this is that ranko most likely will die against nagi. |

Me & Akiba Maid War started out on the wrong foot with the Tarantino-esque overdone violence in the beginning, but I'm sure glad I stuck it out; this episode was the best yet (though the baseball one is a close second). Just a short & sweet vignette taken straight out of yakuza V-cinema, with opaque characters intertwining and murky pasts inevitably rearing their ugly head. I would gladly watch a few more character-focused standalones like this.
And the incongruity of Nagomi thinking this is some sort of AKB48 "no dating allowed!" forced graduation situation was hilarious.

While one could feel sorry for Ranko, I found the development with the assassin man lacking to have any sympathy for him, especially after they showed him doing killings from the past. Using panda girl as a vehicle was just comeuppance, though I guess she was also feeling either bittersweet or empty afterwards. More of a tragedy for her not being able to escape the cycle despite actually surviving her own assassination years ago.
Looking forward to seeing how this resolves with the leader of Creatureland.

Man, kudos to Junichi Suwabe who gave it all for this one episode. You can hear he took it seriously, not letting any second wasted.
For a series based on gangster movie, I like that they setup good amount of reason to dislike Nagi. She on the way to demolish Tontokoton, killed anyone who made her looks bad, senpai to Ranko while also the one issued order to assassinate Ranko parent figure, now revealed she's also responsible to Okachimachi trauma that made her spent her life as a panda.
