This may be old news to some but I noticed this on the Bandai North America site:

I thought the OVA was very satisfying. In response to the thought about what people have said, I think the cherry one was fine in it's location. It's simple and allows for all the characters to be show right away, as well as that it is one of the more 'normal' lucky star skits. In my opinion, only that one and the lost in the woods skit were closer to regular lucky star. The MMO, Dream, and Pet Shop ones were very different in content that normal lucky star, and I don't think they would have fared well first. The Volleyball one wouldn't have fit too well there either, but maybe that's a possibility... But it stays in the same place the whole time.
As far as canon, is it possible that, if L*S never moves to a second season, them turning into frogs will be the official anime ending? At no place does it ever say it's a dream or a hallucination. Last edited by Katz993; 2009-07-01 at 09:11. |

According to Bandai at AnimeExpo 2009, the OVA will be sub only...
I don't know the reasoning behind this, only that it will make me really ponder whether or not I'll purchase it... |

Not an urgent buy for me then as I already have it on DVD and have access to subs for it. Not to mention I still only have the first of the Bandai DVDs as I was waiting for it to come out in the UK (doesn't look like it ever will, but now I just don't have the money).

OVA was excellent if you ask me being someone who's played an MMO I found that part absolutely awesome, Kagami's was my favorite after that for obvious reasons yay fan-service . Though dodge ball, and Cherry were both had some pretty funny parts and very enjoyable. Last two weren't quite as good in terms of humor they were still funny, would have been if I had gotten the Soul eater reference first time I saw it . Though Lucky Channel was weird as usual I still have to get a 10/10 for how much it got me to laugh, and smile.

I gave it a 9 out of 10, because I thought it was a great OVA but...Idk I didn't think it was the GREATEST OVA EVER! But it was still awesome...
I have to say that my favorite Segments were the MMO gaming, Kagami's Cinderella and when they got lost in the mountains. I thought Kagami dressed up as a Vocaloid was so cute >o< |

Just finished watching this alongside the series. Really enjoyed it, the MMO bits and the final Lucky Channel made it for me, especially when Tsukasa couldn't work out how to speak when she was playing the MMO and when Shiraishi Minoru asked for water in Lucky Channel I cracked up.
Really nice ending to a nice series, shame they never made anymore. |
