Well, other then Abyss this is a second time for me to like both main male and female character design. Don't know about their personality but for now they really seem likable. Damn, I hope it gets released, I don't mind waiting for 2-3 years. As long as Namco doesn't fallow Square's route and puts 3D dolls as portraits (aka Star Ocean) for the English release.

Btw, isn't SE only a publisher for Star Ocean?

Eh, I think you're right, my bad. I saw interviews from Square a few months ago regarding differences among English speaking audience and Japanese. They think we like more of a macho type characters then those girly anime heroes. So my comment was based on that. Really? I'm guessing you could switch to Japanese audio as well? But yeah, those options weren't available for Xbox360 version.

Those are all handheld DS games, not console games.

Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut, and Tales of Rebirth. Eternia was released as Destiny 2 in the States and Namco never bothered to correct it. The Destiny remake is so vastly different from the original that it might as well be considered a new game. Tales of Rebirth was just never localized.

I know several friends who used to work in retail, and I think one of them saw it once; on release and never saw any more copies. I've only ever seen it once in retail, preowned. It's my favourite JRPG on the 360; but I tell you, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people missed it, simply because it was so hard to find after the initial release. It's not like Europe is a tiny market either; but we have it even worse than the US. I would have bought the expanded PS3 edition if it'd been released too. If this makes it over here, I'll probably grab it, but if I can't even GET a copy; then that's a sale Namco have instantly lost.

Apparently the logic was that the "Tales Of" franchise has very tight brand name association with Bamco as a mothership Bamco title, and they're not going to risk any localisation company who are not themselves mess with it. Even if it meant them not ever bothering to release anything at all.
