However, there's quite a bit of Makoto's background in our world that was snipped out. Same with the other 2 heroes/disciples. Part of which links back to Makoto's past. Since there's going to be a 2nd season to bring in the 2 heroes into the mix, some of the snipped off parts in season 1 should be adapted in 2nd season.

p.s. I find the manga adaptation has a better flow than the original Web Novel.
This really is just like Reincarnated as a Slime .

The comparisons between the show are interesting. Mostly since I just never got past the first 4 or 5 episodes of Slime before losing interest in it. No such problems here.

I thought this would be a gag isekai like konosuba, but it had a surprising amount of depth. I also kept being reminded of isekai maou but thankfully it didn't turn out like that one.

The season 2 announcement was a nice addition as well.

It would be interesting to see how far they can take the mana building thing, since apparently firing an arrow a few times is enough for him to raise his mana capacity to godlike levels

One last observation between the web novel and manga with the anime - the anime adaptation is much lighter in tone with more humour while the web novel and manga is darker and more serious. I find the web novel and manga more compelling.
