He'll need to overcome mid-boss Hakuryuu first, defeat Al-Sarmen, and after several timeskips only will Alibaba be capable enough to match True Final Boss Sinbad. Though I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not in the long-term... I wonder if any of the trio will... bring some of their new-found allies back with them once they reunite.

Yeah, it happened in Balbad, but it was revealed later. Remember when that guy from Al-Sarmen poisoned Alibaba's magoi and Aladdin had to enter Alibaba's body? At that time Aladdin saw that part of Cassim's magoi was inside Alibaba, protecting him.

Cassim's already an ever-present force in Alibaba's character development and history... and now they're one in life and power too. :/
I guess in hindsight, it being Cassim's magoi was obvious due to the various hints and all that... but I never liked the idea. Is it just me, or does Cassim still feel like an unsympathetic asshole, after all is said and done? Sure, he had a 'woe is me' crapsake lifestyle, but he, out of his own volition, allowed himself to fall that far out of some twisted sense of jealousy and envy.

I suppose that's the underlying reason Cassim's character got so inextricably connected to Alibaba. The series' overall message is right there: if you're not willing to forgive you won't save anyone. Just look at Hakuryuu. Her mother is certainly a bitch of astronomic proportions, and you could say Haku has the right to hate her. Yet, the story still asks for him to let go of his grudge.

Rather than asking him to forgive her, he's being warned that the hatred is warping him into something similar. He shouldn't forgive her, but instead focus on making sure that no one, NO ONE, has to go through the same pain he did.

No, what I'm saying is, there's obvious "come to the dark side" mumbo jumbo development with him in this just like Star Wars.
Maybe it hasn't been translated yet, but hints of it has already been shown long ago.

^ I think taking someone's head in front of a bunch of people who think it was their mother should count...Anyways, the dark side is strong in Magi and the hardest nut to crack will be Judal, who just might never crack at all and surprise kill someone instead.
