#5 is still my absolute favorite, both halves, though I like the first half better; although, #7 was really a dark horse for me.

And most epic song ever is kinda blowing it ou of proportion its good but if u sub to one of the channels that upload two steps from hell, immediate music, audio machine u can pretty much get a song of that quality everyday. I have yet to hear a composer top immidate music preliator, darkness on the edge of power,or an epic age. Funny thing is a epic age was used for the attack on titan P.V.
The examples you named are definitly thousand times better than any song in the "charts".

However they are... "typical" epic music. There is something missing that makes it unique compared to the OSTs of movies like Lords of the Rings or games like the Final Fantasy series.

Shingeki no Kyoujin's OST, and in particualar ət'æk 0N tάɪtn, is already unique just because it has a German-language choir and not a Latin-language one. Also the "German" in the song sounds a bit strange because it is sung by Japanease singers, which seems to make the song a bit more charming for me.

But of course music is just like art. Its beauty is "in the eye of the spectator". So the taste of music is not something that can be objectively discussed, as I am already too biased as a German that it is sung in German.

This is typical of Sawano's work so I don't think you could call it unique given how many soundtracks Sawano has written now. (The vocalists / lyrics writers credited in the OST's booklet are also the same who performed on Sawano's other works.)

I also agree with those who think Attack on Titan OST (1?) is fairly subpar for a Sawano soundtrack. (that doesn't mean it's terrible though)

While watching the "X" trailer on the Nintendo direct @ E3 I rolled my eyes at the cookie cutter Sawano vocal sing that played, going to the same well way too much. It's like when iwasaki kept doing the dissonance crap ever since soul eater.

I heard (and please don't quote me on this since I dunno it myself) that Linked Horizon has someone that is half German or something.

Maybe they should've asked him/her to do the German parts in all those songs, couldn't have been worse I guess

But I'm not hating or anything, I don't mind EngRish and I don't mind fail!German. I'm too used to it already and personally I think it's cute when Japanese try to talk English/German and fail so hard

To be honest I like this way more than Guilty Crown's OST. There are a couple of good songs on that cd, but I hardly every listen to the rest because I find it not very interesting. To each their own I guess.

My favorite track from the OST is track 9 which is Aimee Blackschleger - DOA. That song is full of badassery.

This. And track 10 - E. M. A. comes in at second place for me.

Orchestral parts are performed by [nZk] Philharmonic Orchestra, so what you hear is true instruments, performed by a conductor etc.

Love the 2nd opening theme, I wonder which part will they put in the OP. Also like how they actually made each song's ending to continue to each other song (I think the order of the song is Moshimo Kono Kabe >> Guren no Yumiya >> Jiyuu no Tsubasa). Quite neat, I must say

The full version of guren no yumiya finally got German parts that I can identify without a doubt. It actually sounds like it was spoken by a German.

Now waiting for someone to gather the romaji lyrics and the english translation... the rest will be easy.

EDIT: I found romaji lyrics for the complete version, but I still have to wait for someone to translate the new japanease parts into english.
