The way I saw it, Rin didn't need to be topless, and her dialog implied as much, suggesting that she's only undressing "so it's fair". Which sounds like a BS excuse just to take off her shirt around Shirou, the little minx... ^_^

Teenaged European characters are often drawn to appear more mature than their Japanese counterparts in anime (usually more...overtly...than here), which is often how it is IRL. As for how she speaks and acts, a lot of characters in this series act older than they are; she just has a reason.

I never quite interpreted it that way but that's a nice way to think about it since it sounds completely in character.

Technically, Takeuchi has the highest position at Notes, so he actually is Nasu's boss. And he was apparently the one who suggested to change the genders of the protagonist and Saber.

Saber part and how it tied with Zero was the best moment in my opinion. After how went to shit in Zero, seeing a bit of catharsis here for her was really great.

The whole magic crest transfer, I felt the director lacked some guts to show show something more without being explicit, some of intimacy between them, would have have been great for character development. But I liked this episode, this show keeps going so strong, that I don't feel like seeing anything else for now.

Guts have nothing to do with it. He wouldn't have gotten the correct rating probably. Japanese are not quite as liberal as you think.

Truthfully, I heard/read from another site that he's the reason for the ending of the other fate series (the one that has Jeanne de Arc); unless that was false.

There was no crest transfer in the VN from 2004. They had sex and then Rin established a contract.

I agree. The original work being canon is only until a retcon comes from the original writer/author/maker(s). If you don’t believe me, ask George Lucas and his Star Wars. “Han shoots first” is no longer canon now and replaced by “Greedo shoots first” . The same thing also happened with Gundam SEED. They retcon a certain character's death just because it was getting a sequel (Destiny) and they want that character back.

He just follow the RN version of the vn.
They weren't afraid with Sakura in Fate/Zero, I think it's more a choice to follow the rn version.

Probably Nasu's or T-M's choice, because that's how they want the story to go?

Not sure what Fate/Zero has to do with anything though. No one's having sex there, except maybe a pair of adults offscreen.
