Watched episode 3:
Some serious child abuse suffered by Beatrice from her mad scientist dad... and as usual, Ange is awesome. The sneaking around the ship sort of remind me the Metal Gear Solid games for the playstation. Looking forward to the next episode. ----- this anime is good.

The only thing I don't like is the sad steam punk theme of the cities, but that's not to say it's not well done, just personal preference... it's not my thing.

These girls are very entertaining and exciting and interesting to watch... but they're really bad at the fundamentals of spycraft. They should all have been caught and executed long ago, given how blatantly they advertise what they are in public.

I love how the Princess is taking risks in this show. Chances are, she could still be a double agent. I hope they give more background story about her.
Dorothy and her seduction skills is ...wow.

The Commonwealth has the means to make those balls, and it's a secret they guard very carefully. The Kingdom is just now working out how to make them, and in the process has discovered another new technique that the Commonwealth doesn't have, which could shift the balance of power in the Kingdom's direction. Thus, the Commonwealth sought to deny them these advantages.

It was indirectly suggested in this episode in first minutes, when name C-ball was used? If I get it right now, Commonwealth have problems with refining cavorite, so they know how to make C-ball, but can't mass produce them, Kingdom otherwise. But still just stealing a prototype and even scientific team won't stop Kingdom from making those, unless they had left no copy of blueprints in Kingdom possession, but at best it can slow down research. Also having a new better technology do not ready help Commonwealth, as long as they can refine Cavourite.

That massive fan that Ange had to go through gave me flashbacks to a similar obstacle in Half Life. I know how you felt about that Ange
Also, Ange seems to find some ingenious uses for her C-Ball every episode, like using it as a 3D holographic particle projector here to see the room's layout.

I think it was resonating with particles of cavorite that were remaining in the room, among the dust on the floor. By seeing where they were, and where they weren't, she could get a rough outline of the objects that had been on the floor not long ago.

The original objective was set under the assumption that the research personnel and equipment were still in the mining facility guarded to the teeth. Stealing everything was out of the question so the best they could hope for was just to steal the prototype and that would be no small blow. Creating a prototype takes a lot of effort. It means making custom parts that aren't being mass produced at the time and for something complicated like this they'd have to made with very specific specifications. Stealing it would mean they'd have to make another one to work out the kinks and mass produce it. Meanwhile the commonwealth would gain a prototype made with the kingdom's cutting edge techniques so it could also benefit them.
