I don't know whether it's because I binged it at night tired or because I just t started especially loving sweet stories, but I would give it a good 8/10. I liked the dynamic and also liked that there seemed to be a decent progression in the story. The OST was fitting and the transitions between past/present used pretty clever tricks. Also, their past relationship was sweet, yet extremely believable, and sad how it ended. It's definitely not Bunnygirl-senpai level, but not every story needs to be so deep and brisk.
As for the ending, it set a good starting point for a second season (would love it if it gets one). The first season was about them dealing with the awkwardness of suddenly becoming siblings, digesting the complex feelings because of which their relationship "as children" ended, and finding out how they want to continue. Now the 12th episode put them both in the direction of wanting to become lovers again. So I would expect the 2nd season to be about them building the relationship again from 0 "as half-adults" while trying to not get found out by anyone. I would expect dealing with the family to be a matter of 3rd season (though I never read the LN nor expect it to get 3 seasons, so I have no idea).
