People, I need your help, past thursday I bought a bamboo wacom cause I'd like to start linearts and colouring my sketches; so I took a sketch form some time ago and tried to work wit it... the result? HORRIBLE! I cannot believe how bad it ended, I'm very disappointed with it... please, has somebody any tips to improve? Because that really seems the work of a drunk hooligan with parkinson

This was the sketch (also that wasn't a masterpiece)

Spoiler for Original sketch:

This is the "thing"

Spoiler for Your eyes will be tainted:

BTW I'm using photoshop CS3 as program, don't really know if it is important ^^

Wish I could help you, but I have never used a tablet before nor do I know anybody that owns one. >_<

Hakuryu to the rescue.... (?)

I'd be happy to give you a few pointers on how to fix the issue. Here are just some things in Photoshop that can make it more tablet "friendly"
  • Draw large, then downsize.
One of the biggest helpers to make your drawings look cleaner. When you scan an image, change the resolution to something huge, then when your done you can change the resolution to something smaller. (Most mistakes will disappear when the images is downsized)

  • Mess with the spacing settings on your brushes. Different percents can give the brush a smoother look.

  • Keep the hardness of the brush settings at 100% Softer settings don't always result in a softer line.

  • You might still have to set the "Shape Dynamics" setting under the brush window to Pen Pressure to allow the tablet to change the thickness/thinness of your lines.

  • Try to zoom out a bit more when drawing. This makes it easier to do longer strokes instead of short jerky ones.

  • A personal touch that helps some people out is that you can even put a piece of paper over the tablet to make it feel more comfortable when drawing.

Hopefully, one of those tips can help you out in someway. ^^ And if have anymore questions or need me to elaborate more on what I've already said, just ask~

No, problem~ ^^

There isn't too much you can use on Photoshop for the inking process besides the brush or the pen tool. The tablet isn't any use when you use the pen tool because you have to manually change the shape (and/or thickness) of your lines by creating shapes. I recommend using the brush tool for inking personally.

Don't worry, you're just not used using tablet. Practice using it everyday and i'm sure you'll find it very useful. ^^

Hi everybody in the forum again ^^

Here are my first draws of the decade, since it's in those particular dates I decided to make a specially MOE & LOLICON Fan arts as the firsts of 2010

To fulfill this the better was to draw my sketches using POP's drawing style (Moetan illustrator), wich is full of sukumizu and moe lolis, and I'm pretty happy with the results so hope everybody would like those as well.

I wish a lolicious 2010 for all of you

As ever, here I'll just post two samples, the rest, as ever in THE BLOG

This week I wanted to draw Erica Hartmann from strike witches, at least I wanted to draw her properly but don't know why the results ended looking extremely weird.

As you can see it's a complete disaster, I tried many times to fix lots of errors, but every time looked terrible when finished, I even ended throwing many to trash (a think I usually don't do) because those where just too bad.

Well, seems this draw style is just too much for me U_U

Here I leave you two sample pics, the rest in THE BLOG as ever:
