I'm sure some of you chaps are already doing the breach-and-clear thing to the new area in Twilight Arbor (official release; Massively.com article). The whole thing was interesting enough that I decided to read up on the lore... the kudos given to the dev team are, it seems, quite deserved.

The Living Story has been quite hit or miss. Sometimes they do cool stuff like Zephyr Sanctum or this; and sometimes you get crap like Southsun that nobody even bothers with anymore.
The new Tequetal fight is really something though that requires a lot of mass coordination.

It's gotta be like low fractals sadly. ;; I am scrub with fractals and also my trinkets have wvw infusions since I do that more. Though I have a 5 agony resist amulet somewhere. That's all I have.
Also, with the way they handled MF, including the "luck" increasing your inherent mf, I'm considering erasing the mf infusion in my amulet. MF doesn't affect chests where most of the good stuff comes from anyways.

Oh yea the story is bugged big time I couldn't respawn, but they just released a patch so I'm guessing they fixed it.
I've been playing for over a year and I just started crafting i'm working on getting the incinerator.

Crafting is the worst thing about the game.
So a lot of people were complaining the Living World had no sense of meaning or permanence. And sometimes it was sort of true and seemed reset button worthy especially with the rapid releases of every 2 weeks leaving little time to get achievements. And then they probably blew up the most important thing to players-- Lion's Arch. It was a pretty good idea though people tend to find something else to complain about it. As a side note Gw2 really shows why anime length skirts aren't too practical as physics does not allow for magical skirts. Why did they even do that? And heavy armor/ especially medium armor really needs more variety.

On another note, I thought I'd share this forum thread that was recently brought to my attention.

Just reinstalled and started playing again after like 2 years hiatus lol. So overwhelmed and no clue what to do first. Any tips on quests, dungeons, or other stuff that I should do immediately or as an intro to returning to the game? I like how I got a bunch of free stuff in my mail box too

Well, depends on what level you are right now. If you aren't level 80, I would focus on map exploration.
The easiest way to get "stuff" is to look at daily achievements in the hero panel (last tab). Completing 5 daily achievements in one day nets you 1 laurel. Laurels are currency that lets you buy a number of things, but most importantly, ascended jewelry which is currently the strongest type in the game. Also, if you have a birthday from your mail, I would save it up for a very special occasion (ie not now)
