If Hayate's good, she'll have them wear maid customes as combat armor!
I just hope she didn't hear that
Don't forget the Loli-Hammerheads and Skyrays... and a fully pimped XV-22 while we're at it... all in mecha musume configuration
... There's always Hayate's way of "requisitioning" things, straight out of the God Empress herself
Isamu: Did you hear the news?? The new ship has an entire crew of females in meido-fuku. Valivis: Really!! Do you think Myristic will mind if we transfer... Isamu: He shouldn't care as long as he can as well, come on, lets ask him.
Myristic: EEEHHH!! Meido-fuku...(drooling)
Tuala: What in the world are they talking about... Iza: Who knows....
I'll answer with a loli-falcon complete with loli-dragons for my tank busting needs
@Saint X I agree with what Dkellis has said. It doesn't matter what their power level is as long as they have a brain to use..
Besides, Keroko would hate being a Captain of a ship. She loves being in the sky, not in a chair (and item she never stops discussing with Chrono).
I see... Both Kha and Kluize all work their 1st mates because they like to have a ship but also like to lead on the ground.

P.S. I've almost forgotten my favourite one - Dämmerung. Over 10.000 square kilometers in size
Now I remember why I usually prefer small ships. They don't pack a punch, carry enormous fleets, or lay waste to planets on their own, usually, but they're nice and cosy. Have to be aerodynamic and can land on a nice meadow. I believe in such vast spaces there'd be unspoilt planets like this asking for a picnic as an afterthought while in between protecting Ordered Space from chaos.
I dream of a flying family sedan if you will. Yes shoot me I'm a "down-to-Earth" guy.

Basically, it depends on what sort of villain you want to have. Someone who can pwn the Aces with sheer magical power needs a high (SSS or something) rating. Someone who creates an army to do the pwning may not need something that high; we don't know what magical rating Scaglietti has, for example.
And then there's another sort of villain, the master manipulator, who may have zero ability in magic, but is able to waltz into the highest echelons of command with his/her silver tongue and turn allies against one another.
Personally, I'm biased towards low-magic villains, but those with high charisma and intelligence. One of the hardest villains to defeat is the one which nobody bothers looking for, since they're all busy fighting one another.
I'd make a comparison to Lex Luthor, but there's too many counter-examples in the comics already, so I'll just refrain. Instead, if you've seen Read Or Die (the ROD TV series in particular), consider how much actual power Mr. Joker/Carpenter has.
EDIT: And then there's the "Not Applicable" of, say, AI villains, which have a venerable tradition in science fiction from HAL to SHODAN to Guilty Spark.
Wise words indeed. Our little universe killer is a bit of both, and hence the reason why he can take on everyone at once. X, you do the honors? Or I handle it?

well that might help to balance all of the good OC's to villain OC's but *shudder* ....
Ya i agree with dkellis to be dangerous a villain does not need amazing power them self, there are many ways that they can be considered a threat. (in the apparent case of this thread.... and army of Loli minions would seam to posses the ability to remove about half of the OC's from the battlefield.)
@thread Did i miss something why is everyone getting a battle ship now?? I am seriously confused someone please enplane. Is there going to be a space/void combat story arc or something??

Got myself to finish Act II of Serge's background:
Spoiler for Dance of the Demons - Act II:
Dance of the Demons - Act II
Flying back to the plant I’ve noticed with a displeasure that the rain caused by that Testarossa’s magic wasn’t going to stop. On the contrary, it seemed to become stronger and I expected a real downpour to begin every minute. For a second I felt a little sympathy for the girl left lying unconscious under the rain.
- Don’t you think you’ve dealt too harsh with the girl, Ma~ster? – I was sure that damned Device was reading my thoughts, though it never admitted it.
- What are you talking about? That was probably the best possible outcome we could expect. With her speed I would’ve never managed to react in time if I didn’t expect her to pull something like this from the beginning. Even with that being said if I hesitated even for a second we would’ve been done for.
- You’re exaggerating things as always, Master. You just didn’t want to put too much effort in it.
- Tch, you may think whatever you want. Anyway, we’re getting close to the plant.
Indeed, I could already see the silhouette of the damaged plant ahead of us. However, the rain didn’t allow me to say for sure if the attackers were still inside or already finished their business. I was deciding if I should approach the plant immediately or try to detect the girls’ magical presence from here when I suddenly sensed something familiar. Soon I’ve realized the nature of the sensation – someone or something was gathering free magic particles from the surroundings. It reminded me a lot about my own ability, but much less delicate, though considerably powerful. The point where magic particles were gathered floated above the plant and I was going to concentrate on it more precisely but didn’t make it in time. A bright pink flash suddenly interrupted my concentration making me blink for a moment, and then an enormous beam of raw magical energy came down from the sky. It hit approximately at the centre of the plant, causing a series of loud explosions followed by a single bigger one, which engulfed the plant almost entirely. When it calmed down there could only be seen several load-bearing wall panels left standing among smoldering wreckage at the place of the former plant. The amount of used power was impressive to say the least.
- So that’s how it looks … Starlight Breaker.
- Right on the spot as usual, Ma~ster.
- Say, didn’t you find the preparations for the spell similar to the abilities you and I possess?
- That would be true, there’re definitely some similarities.
- I knew that Device wasn’t so simple. By the way, what could you say about that spell’s power?
- I could block it.
- Is that so? What about redirecting it?
- I could block it, - repeated the Device.
- Whatever, that’s enough with me.
Although being able to witness a Starlight Breaker personally was a pleasant surprise, it destroyed the remnants of the Drones from which I was counting to extract recorded combat data. Also the girls’ job was now finished and they were certainly going to wonder where could disappear their fourth comrade. Immediately leaving the scene seemed the most appropriate action to me if I didn’t want to get into more trouble.
- Master, don’t you sense it? – Aether Origin suddenly interrupted my thoughts, this time in a male voice that seemed almost normal except some metallic chime in it.
- What’s with the change again? Are you feeling well today? – I tried to be sarcastic.
- Please, concentrate on the one who used that spell just now, you will understand.
That line shocked me a bit – I’ve never heard Aether Origin talking so polite. The three girls were standing in front of the devastated plant talking about something. I’ve concentrated my attention on Captain Takamachi. The change was obvious. Casting Starlight Breaker cost her dearly – channeling such amounts of magical energy put a heavy strain both on her physical body and Linker Core. The distortion of the flow of magic particles around her showed that she won’t be able to use the magic as effectively for the next few hours unless she desired to increase the tension even further. Her Device, on the other hand, was at its best. It seemed like the usage of a powerful spell only gave it more energy instead of being a burden. It all was so unexpected and interesting that it took me some time to regain the ability to think clearly. It was an opportunity, an awesome chance, and almost fail-proof on top of all.
- Let’s go, today we’re going to make that Device show us if it’s got something up its sleeve, - I said to Aether Origin and to myself at the same time.
Yes, I’ll make Raising Heart reveal any hidden powers it could have that are linking it to Aether Origin. And when I’m sure in their relationship I’ll take it with me and hack into its core. This way I will get to know its past and its creators – the ones who truly rule over magic and time-space! I could’ve achieved the same goal simply hacking into my own Device, but nobody would guarantee me surviving this act, so I had to take a longer way. And this way could be reaching its end right now.
The three girls noticed me as soon as I got into their line of sight. They seemed to be worried but tried to hide it from me. Nanoha stepped forward.
- I’m Captain Takamachi Nanoha of the TSAB Air Force, we’re on an official mission, who’re you and what are you doing here, sir? – She asked.
- Serge Romardo, Head Investigator of the TSAB Intelligence Department Special Section D. My objective here was extracting the combat data from the Drones but as you see it’s impossible now.
- From the Drones? But why would you? … And don’t you mean that Drone also … What happened to Fate-chan?! – She seemed to care a lot about that girl.
- Fate-chan? Do you mean Enforcer Harlaown? I’m pretty sure she’ll be alright, though she could have to spend a little time in the infirmary.
- You bastard! – The one named Vita made a step towards me but was stopped by Signum.
- Hold on, Vita, - said the sword-wielding Knight calmly.
- That … Do you understand you’re breaking TSAB regulations right now? – Nanoha started to speak again.
- His Device is interfering with us preventing the voice and video recording, my Master, - Commented Raising Heart.
- To go this far … what are you trying to achieve here, Investigator Romardo?
- I’ve already said it – I’m after the combat data, - I said firmly, - and you’re going to provide it for me.
- Sorry, but I don’t understand.
- I will explain, - saying this I reached a round device attached to my belt and pressed on its top.
The device immediately turned on, producing a rhythmical sound that a human could barely hear.
- I’ve activated the jammer that will prevent any attempts to remotely teleport any of us out of here or send the reinforcements, - I said, - Though the loss of contact with you will soon be noticed, it’ll take them quite a lot of time to get here by other means, so we’re all by ourselves.
- Why are you doing it?
- I simply don’t want anyone to interfere. I want you to have a battle with me, Captain Takamachi. Or rather I want to fight against your Device
.
- Wha..?! But why all of a sudden? And why should I go along with you?
- I desire to test the extents of power of your Device, those which aren’t documented in TSAB archives and are never shown in training sessions. It is … important for me to know. As soon as we’re done I’ll turn off the jammer or you’ll do it yourself. I’ll also promise full support of the Intelligence Department to you and the unit Lt.-Col. Yagami is creating in case you’re willing to cooperate.
- So now you’re trying to bribe me? How can I trust your words anyway?
- Do not misunderstand, I will make you defend yourself by force if it’s needed, but in that case your friends here may get hurt as well.
- Now you’ve said it! – Vita tried to come at me again but was stopped by Signum once more.
- Alright, - said Nanoha, - I’ll do what you want, but you get us to Fate-chan first.
- Nanoha! – I heard the familiar voice behind me.
When I turned around I was able to see the blonde Enforcer again. She certainly recovered faster than I expected and most probably rushed here immediately. Her Barrier Jacket was still covered in mud and she had a noticeable bruise on the left side of the forehead.
- Fate-chan, are you OK? – Nanoha ran to her friend.
- Do not worry, I’m alright. But the man over there is dangerous, - Fate pointed at me.
- No need to push yourself too hard, Enforcer Harlaown, - I said, - We already have an agreement with Captain Takamachi here, so I’d recommend you to step back and rest a little.
- Nanoha, don’t tell me you’re really going to fight with him here. And you’ve already used a lot of your power today, - Fate kept insisting.
- I’ll be alright, - answered Nanoha, - He seems determined to see what Raising Heart can do, so I’ll give him what he wants. And after that we’ll return home and have a nice lunch together. OK, Fate-chan?
- I trust you, Nanoha. But don’t overdo it.
- I won’t, - Nanoha smiled at Fate.
- Are you finished already? – I made my voice sound impatient.
- If you hurt Nanoha I’ll smash your head, - I heard Vita’s voice again.
I ignored the brat and moved about 20 meters away from the girls. There I activated my Barrier Jacket for the first time in this world. Leather top-boots, long pants, simple belt, leather jacket with long sleeves and high collar – everything colored black with golden edges. My Device is in its sealed form as a golden bracelet around the right hand, black leather glove on the left. Obviously it’s not as fancy as Nanoha’s dress, but I’m not a fan of such things. I looked at Aether Origin.
- How about changing to combat form? – I tried to make it sound most ordinary.
- I’ll see about it.
- Do as you wish, just don’t complain if I get killed someday, - I thought I managed to crack a joke.
- Understood, - the Device probably didn’t get it.
- Shall we start at once or make preparations beforehand? – I asked when Nanoha took her place about 50 steps away from me.
- I don’t care, - she replied.
We stood silently for several seconds and I could only hear the sound of continuing rain that seemed to have no end to it. Three other girls were looking at us from a considerable distance but still stayed close enough to interfere if they decided it necessary.
- I’ll make my preparations then - Aether Web! - I shouted, rising my hands to the level of my shoulders and tossing my head up.
I heard a distant thunderclap and felt numerous drops of rain hitting my face. With my eyes I could also see a dense net of aether threads quickly forming around me, in the space between me and Nanoha and even around her too. Other spectators of course couldn’t see anything and I smiled noticing Nanoha’s slightly surprised expression. She didn’t say anything but at the next moment a great number of small pink energy balls appeared around her, similar to those she used against the Drones. She stopped materializing them when their number came close to hundred.
- Here I go, - she said calmly.
Immediately after that all the balls rushed at me simultaneously, with each following its own path.
- Pathetic, - I murmured.
Every path the balls were taking was known to me the moment they started moving. That’s what happens if you plan their movements beforehand – my Aether Insight reveals such things instantly. I ordered my threads to intercept incoming energy balls, following them with the movements of my fingers and waves of my hands – absolutely unnecessary actions but I somehow obtained this habit and couldn’t get rid of it. Every time a thread cut through respective energy ball its part became visible and shined gold, making the ball explode in a cloud of pink sparkles. From the outside it looked like a weird dance of golden fireflies in the sky filled by rapid fireworks.
Having dealt with the first volley, I saw that Nanoha wasn’t going to stop at that and already had the second one ready. “A forward beam attack” – reported my Aether Insight at the same time that she launched the balls. I left a few threads to intercept energy balls making them swirl wildly around me so that each of them could get as much balls as possible, and gathered most of the threads to parry Nanoha’s beam. “Divine Buster”, - confirmed her Device and a thick pink beam emerged from the tip of Raising Heart and charged at me, illuminating the ground beneath it and evaporating the drops of rain that appeared to be on its path. Fortunately my defenses were already finished and the beam bumped into a golden wedge consisting of hundreds of separate threads that materialized in front of me as I abruptly raised my right hand. The beam got split in two halves and burrowed into the ground by my sides with a rumbling sound leaving me standing untouched. I’ve instantly broken the wedge back into threads and directed them at the remaining energy balls. But this time I made the threads seize control of the balls’ movement instead of destroying them. The threads wrapped themselves around the balls and made Nanoha their new target. Approximately two dozens of balls were caught by my threads and eagerly charged at their former master’s head. Nanoha reacted by extending her right arm forward and deploying a round shield on the balls’ path at the last moment, so I couldn’t change the direction of their movement to avoid hitting into the shield. Smoke resulting from the explosions covered Nanoha from my sight for a while.
- Isn’t it time to get serious? – I shouted at her.
- Don’t regret it afterwards, - told me her voice.
When the smoke cleared I saw her surrounded by a bunch of energy balls again, but this time they all had different sizes and color. I gathered the threads closer to me and it proved to be the right decision. When Nanoha launched her third volley I couldn’t foresee exact paths of the energy balls anymore. They all had the same target but didn’t follow any distinctive pattern and changed their directions randomly. I didn’t know if she guessed right how my ability worked or was just trying another tactic, but now I had to intercept the balls relying mostly on my reflexes, though Aether Insight still helped to determine the balls’ short-term movements. A pair of balls managed to break through my defenses but I was able to dodge them and they sank fizzling into the ground. Having my attention drawn by the balls I’ve lost sight of Nanoha again when I got another “Incoming beam attack” report by Aether Insight. “Where’s she?” – I looked around desperately but she was nowhere to be seen.
- From above, Master – Suddenly talked Aether Origin.
I looked up only to see a pink flash ready to depart in my direction.
- You’re too late, dumb-ass – I cursed and tried to form a cone-shaped cover above my head using all the threads I could still move there in time.
- It's over, - I heard Nanoha's voice, but continued concentrating on moving the threads.
The work was about halfway done when the pink beam reached me and I got engulfed in the stream of magical energy.
Well, surely Mr. Head Investigator couldn't be defeated just yet Or could he? Act III should be ready by weekend

Heh. The Mr. High and Mighty attitude is really starting to show. And AO is beginning to rise the ranks of devices with attitude. Whatever the result is, it's definitely your call. But you already said that Serge agreed to be beaten in exchange of obtaining Niddhogg. Anyway, its a great read.
So Lancelot had an evil streak from the very beginning? Good rework on the Arthurian mythos here, and impressive enough that Lancelot is a pure brute strength warrior, yet could still counter Excalibur.
I originally intended to create Lancelot as a villain from the very beginning. So, yeah, what you see is what you got.

Spoiler:
WELCOME BACK TO TEH HI-LITE REEL...wait, wrong show.
Following the very...informative encounter with the 4 Aces, today we'll take a look at 3 top-tier males who are both capable mages alongside being successful men in their field of expertise. We of Galaxia actually extended our offer to another person in RF6, but we've got absolutely no reply whatsoever, so sadly, we've taken it as a refusal.
Vice: Weird... I don't recall any offer like that reaching my watchful eyes... You, Griffith? Griffith: No, I don't recall... Zafira: .... (( Now that I think about it, there was a piece of paper outside my shed... ))

As you see, I am an intel officer, so management of information to prevent any abuse or physological attack on me is important. IV:I see. What can you tell us then? Yuuno: A lot of people get the impression that management of information with the use of magic is not hard, but when one considers how long the Infinity Library's been understaffed, it's not as easy as it seems. Yuuno: Sorry about that. Now to answer your previous question... let's just say that the weight of management varies and we get our share of tedious assignments, one way or another. What? There's more!? I'll remember this, Chrono... All hands, ready at 3! IV: I see... sensei, that earlier sound...

Now, where are the comments for Arthur????? D: D: D:
I commented. It's very nice overall. A little emo, but then again, emo makes the world of the characters go round and hay-wire. Though I'd avoid a full opinion until I see the full side of things with Guinevere and Lancelot as well.
My only beef was the very blatant Saber-ish and Omnislash homages. It's just a personal opinion of mine, but I think homages should be more "obscure" in execution. Just me though.

Arthur's profile is up! Next stop, Guinevere. Caution: may cause one to wonder whether Arthur is an emo or...
Spoiler for space-saving:
ARTHUR
Full name: Arthur Pendragon
Nickname: Arthur
Age: (during his death) 27
Birthday: June 24th
Hair colour: black
Eye colour: golden yellow
Height: 171cm
Weight: 69kg
Affiliation: none
Position / rank in TSAB: none
Home world: 79th Administered Word -- Visalia
Device: Excalibur
Device type: Intelligent Armed Device
Device appearance: sword
Magic system: Visalia
Magic element: Spirit Wave
Magic symbol: hexagon
Magic colour: lavender
Partner: Merlin, Vivian, Lancelot
Appearance: he always wears his Barrier Jacket and never seen without Excalibur beside him.
Personality: Arthur is cool-headed and treats anyone with respect regardless of their background. His sense of humour is tolerable, although he tends to bemuse people with his practical jokes.
After becoming the owner of Excalibur, Arthur has a sudden change of emotional switch, sacrificing his emotions for the good of Britannia and becomes plagued by feelings of guilt and inferiority after sitting the throne.
Style: like his fellow knight Lancelot, Arthur is a physical fighter and uses his Spirit Wave to aid his melee attacks. Although he lacks the speed needed for quick movement in battlefield, the setback is compensated by his higher defensive power. Arthur also learns shooting and area-of-affect attacks, making him a versatile combatant.
EARLY LIFE
Arthur Pendragon was the only child of Uther Pendragon and Lady Maria and well-beloved by his parents. A child prodigy, he began learning swordsmanship and knighthood as early as five and he was taught by the legendary mage Merlin at six. Later on he was raised by Vivian Hahn, Uther’s distant cousin and stayed with her at Glastonbury for ten years. During the period he learned all aspects of magic systems, especially the native Visalian system, and became adept of using his Spirit Wave as magic source. He also trained in the kingdom’s military academy and graduated as the commander of the Royal Guards.
THE SWORD OF THE STONE
During his training with Vivian, Arthur received the news that the Circle of Mages was conducting an experiment on an Intelligent Armed Device and seeking for volunteer for the experiment aimed to test compatibility between magic-harnessing devices and Spirit Wave, the essence of Visalian system. Arthur applied for the experiment and befriended Lancelot who joined the experiment as well.
During the trial, in which Arthur turned fifteen, King Uther died, and with no known eligible heir to the throne, Britannia entered a period of anarchy following the invasion of the northerly barbaric tribes and threats from the Holy Plataea Empire. With time running out, Vivian told Arthur to “call out” Excalibur despite warnings from her colleagues that the Device would run berserk. Later Merlin approached Arthur and told him that the Briton people would recognize him as their destined ruler if he activated Excalibur, the Intelligent Armed Device that had been revered as the kingdom’s holy weapon for generations. However, by doing so, he would have to accept the hardship of a monarch, and Arthur would be responsible for preserving the welfare of his people. He willingly agreed to take up the challenge and to everyone’s surprise at the research facility he effortlessly activated Excalibur and calmed it before it destroyed facility. In effect, he gained the Device’s trust and vowed to use Excalibur for the good of the people.
MILITARY CAMPAIGNS
Soon after the event, recorded in Britannia’s historical records as “Pulling the Sword out of The Stone”, Arthur led his soldiers in many campaigns against the northern tribes and Holy Plataea Empire, in which he used Excalibur in every occasion. At first he acted as tactician, planning battle plans and commanding his troops from the security of base camp, but he later entered battlefield and engaged with enemy soldiers; he foresaw his action as necessary to boost his soldiers’ morale, and by doing so he would be able to learn the truth behind warfare.
After defeating the northern barbaric tribes and built the Hadrian Wall along Britannia’s northern borders, Arthur mobilized all military prowess into confronting Holy Plataea Empire and liberating every piece of conquered land. His campaigns reached its epic when he and his troops met Holy Plataea Empire fact-to-face at the Battle of the Channel. Despite being greatly outnumbered, Arthur and his knights bravely fought the invaders and victoriously drove them away from Britannia.
There was a unique story circulating the Battle of The Channel. Legend had it that Arthur cut himself during a swordfight with Plataean warrior, and his blood smeared Excalibur, causing the Device to unlock Noble Illusions. He was later said to use Noble Illusions to defeat the entire Plataean army, delivering a major shock to Emperor Caesar, then the ruler of the empire. Embarrassed to learn that his mighty army lost to a young general, Caesar ordered the remaining troops to retreat from Britannia.
KING OF CAMELOT
After finally liberating Britannia, Arthur was chosen as the king of the country. He ruled Britannia from his stronghold in Camelot and earned the reputation of a just, yet distant king. Under the guidance of Merlin and with the aid of his Knights of the Round Table, in which his best friend Lancelot was one of the Knights, he guided Britannia into an era of prosperity and tranquillity. Excalibur received major overhaul from Vivian Hahn after damaged during the siege of Stier Castle, and upgraded with extra components including the energy crystal modulator, precursor to the Belkan cartridge system.
Although he became a king, Arthur still frequently took part in military campaigns per request by soldiers who wanted him to personally lead them into battle.
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
After returning from Nordic Empire on diplomatic tour, Arthur was introduced to Melissa Guinevere, Lancelot’s ex-fiancée. He fell in love with the woman and immediately proposed her to become his wife. A grand marriage ceremony was held at Camelot and attended by the kingdom’s citizens from all levels. The Knights of the Round Table were also invited, with the exception of Lancelot who was permitted to take medical leave; in reality, Lancelot deeply resented the marriage but unable to voice his objections to the king and joined an archaeological expedition at the Valley of the Kings.
Arthur and Guinevere were blessed with twin babies from the marriage, Alexander and Ariel.
TRAGEDY
Seven years later, Arthur was leading his soldiers in the Second Stier Siege when he received news that Guinevere was assassinated by a betraying knight. He immediately called off the siege and returned to Britannia and was told by Merlin that Guinevere was assassinated while practicing her singing at the royal garden, and the assassin escaped before the Knights of the Round Table could capture him.
Vivian came with news that would shake even the king’s boldest heart. It appeared that his best friend Lancelot had been corrupted by the dark power of Masamune, the legendary sword of the Valley of the King, and betrayed his oath as the Knight of the Round Table by defeating his fellow Knights (and killing Sir Hector, the youngest Knight). He even burnt the city of Avon to avenge his turbulent childhood years and was on killing spree afterwards, indiscriminately slaying anyone unfortunate to come across his path.
“The One-Winged Angel is awaiting you at the Ice Desert. You must face him.”
Arthur was at first reluctant to accept the truth, stating that he believed in Lancelot no matter what happened to him. Vivian later gave him a piece of letter written by Guinevere days before she was assassinated and asked him to read it. Arthur was appalled to learn the painful truth but unable to express his emotion as he sealed it soon after gaining the ownership of Excalibur. Yet he eventually gave in and broke down, his heart tormented by the tragedy that was unfolding before him.
After giving his wife and Sir Hector a proper burial, Arthur headed to Ice Desert to the north of the European Continent and met Lancelot, fully corrupted by his own Spirit Wave, now wielding both JENOVA and Masamune in his hands. The fallen knight taunted Arthur into fighting him, teasing him as weak and not strong enough to prevent Guinevere’s death. Enraged, Arthur charged at him only to find himself overwhelmed by Lancelot’s dark power. Furthermore, his memories of Guinevere and the vow he made with his wife never to spill blood prevented him from using all his power, and at such Arthur was initially defeated.
Just as Lancelot was preparing to combine JENOVA and Masamune into a single Device dubbed “Advent” and used the weapon to finish off the battle, Arthur suddenly rose from his untimely comatose and summoned Excalibur’s final form, the Lionheart. Too baffled by the unexpected transformation of the coveted Device, Lancelot forgot to defend himself and opened himself to savage counterattack. Arthur took no chance of letting his mortal enemy and ensnared Lancelot inside Delirium Ring before executed Excalibur’s strongest attack, the all-or-nothing “Sword of Promised Victory”. The attack was vicious and almost destroyed Ice Desert in the process, but Lancelot still stood strong, having survived the ‘sword of light’.
In his last attempt to discourage the king, Lancelot asked Arthur what was important to him; the kingdom which he had sworn to serve and protect, or his family and friends he cherished.
“Everything. Everything that I had known, come across and left behind.”
He proved his words by unleashing his previously unheard of ability: “Omnislash: Blade of the Guardian of Heaven and Earth”, severely injured Lancelot and finally defeated him. As he floated in the air, the fallen knight stated that he would “never become a memory”. Then, enveloped with a single black wing that protruded from his right shoulder blade, he disappeared and left Arthur in the icy desert.
Arthur returned to Britannia, badly injured and barely able to walk. Realizing his time was coming to an end, Arthur returned Excalibur to Vivian and asked her to seal the Device; he stated that he longer had the desire to carry the sword upon his shoulder after he lost everything he used to have. He, then, chose Sir Bedivere as his successor and asked him to take a great care of the kingdom until his children were ready to take the throne.
Arthur retreated to seclusion and passed away three months later, having bedridden from recurring injury that resulted from the mortal combat. He was buried side-by-side with Guinevere in Avalon, and given full tribute by his people.
EXCALIBUR
Type: Intelligent Armed Device
Appearance: sword; (during the battle with Lancelot) Buster Sword
Excalibur has male voice and speaks English. It addresses Arthur as “my lord.”
FORMS
Sealed: Excalibur in this form looks nothing more than a common locket. It is identified by a quote in Old Briton that says “Arthur, Unifier of Britannia.”
Camelot: this is Excalibur in its most recognized form. It comes equipped with Avalon, its sheath that can also be deployed as a secondary sword, allowing double-sword combat. There are two modes of Excalibur in this form:
Battle Mode: used for hand-to-hand combat.
Shooter Mode: used for long-range combat, shooting projectiles or energy beams.
Lionheart: this form shares the same characteristic as Camelot form, except that the sheath and the sword are fused to form a broad sword, known as Buster Sword. At the end of the hilt there is a nano-turbine generator used to greatly amplify magic power. Arthur never used Excalibur in this form, as the existence of the third form was unknown in the era, although he had been reported to use the form’s Noble Illusions on several occasions.
Lionheart Form was indeed activated. It happened only once, during Arthur’s fated duel with Lancelot at Ice Desert.
For Camelot and Lionheart forms, the Energy Crystal Compressor is located inside the sword’s rectangular clamps that tightly fasten the blade onto the hilt. Each clamp can store five energy crystals and functions like a Lee-Enfield magazine clip (it won’t detach until all crystals are used up). Since it is the prototype of the Belkan system, the compressor is also compatible with Belkan magic cartridges.
INCANTATIONS
Let there be no one who wishes to touch the sword
Lest they invite demise to knock on the door;
For only the true inheritor of the king’s blood
Shall fulfil the destiny and call upon its name.
Wake up, Excalibur.
Arthur used the full-paragraphed incantation only once when he activated Excalibur for the first time. As it was a customary for mages during his time to use long phrases, he frequently used the paragraph as ceremonial spell.
DEFENSIVE ABILITIES
Barrier Jacket: the suit is the typical Middle-Age knight’s shining armour, with blue/golden yellow colour scheme and flexible armour made of composite material (when Arthur deploys the Barrier Jacket, it gains a body-hugging outlook). This suit is not just the flashy costume, but also refers to an invisible defensive field generated by the costume, reducing or eliminating any serious injury from events such as an impact with a building.
Bastion: Arthur’s first spell, this is Excalibur’s auto-guard magic. Although weak it can absorb attacks from all directions.
Avalon: a powerful shield that protects its caster from oncoming attack. There are three variations of this spell: the Sealed Form version is merely a wall of barrier magic, while the actual sheath is used as a physical shield in Camelot Form.
For the advanced Lionheart Form, Avalon dissipates into countless particles and immerses its user into a tranquil domain, virtually a “portable fortress”. Lionheart Avalon is considered a Noble Illusion.
Wind Walker: learned from Merlin, this ability enhances Arthur’s agility and increases her evasion rate. It is characterized by contrails that mark her movements.
Seal of the Heavenly King: Arthur uses this spell to bind a target. The amount of time required to activate the spell depends on the complexity of the target. It is characterized by the “royal seal” symbol that decorates the sealing bind.
Bind Break: Arthur tempts to deactivate a binding or imprisoning spell. The amount of time required to deactivate depends on the complexity of the target magic.
Delirium Ring: one of Excalibur’s Noble Illusions, it is available only after Lionheart Form is accessed. Excalibur consumes all energy crystals and converts the energy to form a barrier. Once deployed, Delirium Ring cancels any other abilities within the perimeter, and those trapped inside it will have nowhere to escape.
Delirium Break: Arthur slams Excalibur onto the force field and shatters the perimeter inside the ring. It causes the area inside the barrier to be ‘distorted’.
OFFENSIVE ABILITIES
Lion’s Roar: Excalibur’s basic area-of-affect attack. Arthur shouts a battle cry and slams Excalibur onto the ground, unleashing a powerful shockwave that can knock out anything.
Burning Impact: Excalibur’s basic “particle beam” attack. Arthur activates Excalibur’s Shooter Form and aims the “deployed blade” at selected target. It is roughly on par with Takamachi Nanoha’s Divine Buster.
Barrier of the Wind King: an ability that compresses and rotates the air around Arthur’s blade. The wind circulation distorts the refraction of light, inducing an illusion of surreal world. This property makes it difficult for opponents to parry Arthur’s lunges and thrusts, as they cannot discern the length or width of the blade. Furthermore, the pressurized air can be offensively expelled once in the form of an intense gust. Coupled with Energy Crystal Compressor, Barrier of the Wind King can be sustained for a long duration time.
Sword of the Heavenly King: the strongest physical attack Excalibur can offer. Arthur combines 75% of power supplied from the Energy Crystal Compressor with her Spirit Wave and channels them into the blade. Then Arthur charges at target and slashes the target with the ‘light blade’ in backhand position. The flow of energy coming from Excalibur’s blade is more than enough to nullify most attacks and can even penetrate even the strongest of barrier spells.
Sword of Promised Victory: the most powerful of all Noble Illusions, Arthur channels all her energy into the sword’s nano-generator where it is processed and turned into a yellowish beam engulfing the entire blade. The resulting ‘sword of light’ reaches the edge of the sky and can be seen as far as hundreds of miles away.
Omnislash -- Blade of the Guardian of Heaven and Earth: accessible only in Lionheart Form, this is Excalibur’s ultimate attack, even surpassing Sword of Promised Victory. Arthur speaks something to Excalibur, in which the Device replies "For King and country" before it duplicates into seven different swords that surround target (the seventh "duplicate" remains in Arthur's hand). Then Arthur does the "rushing tackle" maneouvre, hacking and slashing the target with each sword in succession; he combines the swords after every successful attack in the process. Arthur, then, ends the attack with a mega-powerful backhand slash augmented by energy from residual magic and combined with his Spirit Wave.
Arthur is shown weakened after using Omnislash on Lancelot. This indicates that this ability requires the user to "sacrifice" everything he has in order to successfully perform such attack.
phew, that was so long, almost reaching the same level of Hikki's profile thoughts before I proceed to Guinevere's profile, anyone?
Gome! I was fighting fire after my disasterous X-post and so I missed it out.
Emo? Well not as bad as Teana. Now I wonder what Saber would say if she sees him. After all, on one hand her wish was granted, but on the other hand not much has changed. Brilliant reinterpretation of Terran folklore! Maybe I shuld do one for Asian mythology, but I suxx0r at history. Omnislash as a Noble "Illusion" FTW!
Why do I suddenly get Advent Children vibes coming from Lyrical of Time?

It's seems like an unspoken rule that any overt defeating of the Aces is viewed as bordering on haxx. Especially when "Big Sister" is watching us. This has given me an idea for Track 6.2!

(( Now that I think about it, there was a piece of paper outside my shed... ))
Roll the footage, monkeys!
First off is the young Admiral, Chrono Harlaown!
IV: This is Galaxia. We would like to ask you a simple question...Admiral?
An empty office room...a warm cup of coffee... only an audio tape on the table...
IV: What's this? The Very Hectic Life of an Admiral that Administrates Time-Space? Non-confidential!? Play it!
???: Hucken****! Where's my Hucken****!? How the hell am I supposed to survive OG1 if-! IV: Huh? ???: ....Jomy...I'm passing on one part of my responsibilty to administrate this part of time-space to you...you will be the New Sold- IV: .... ???: Man... The fight would've gone so much easier if only I had Banka- IV: .... ???: Zearth... IV: .... ???: What a hectic schedule...at least it was better compared to when Ha**** was ordering me around...what do you mean an upcoming season!!?!?!?!? *tape ends* IV: ....Looks like the Admiral...is busy...very busy.... We wish him good luck. He'll need it...
Next off is Verossa Acous, TSAB intelligence officer and also one of the last users of Ancient Belka.
IV: So, how is it that you keep your game up? Rossa: Well, you see, due to obvious reason such as ca*on, I cannot reveal too much. As you see, I am an intel officer, so management of information to prevent any abuse or physological attack on me is important. IV:I see. What can you tell us then? Rossa: Well, let's just say it's extremely important to be the one who's not wearing the pants in the relationship, the very important ones indeed. Playing hooky here and there in hotels is one thing, but to try and pull such stunts against extremely armed and dangerous family are- *gets his ears pulled from both sides* Carim: Extremely armed...and dangerous, ah? Since you're an intel officer and can't dwell it to public, surely you can go...in-depth with onee-san, right? I have a very very nice tea being brewed right now...by my little sister's doctor friend. Hayate: I'm also dying to know...onii-chan. Rossa: ...All in a day's work.
And lastly, a member of the Archeologist Guild, and also manager of Infinity Library, Professor Yuuno Scrya.
IV: As an academic in the field, you're technically retired from being a mage, and is solely focusing on your desk job. How do you deal with such issues? Yuuno: A lot of people get the impression that management of information with the use of magic is not hard, but when one considers how long the Infinity Library's been understaffed, it's not as easy as it seems. There's a lot of work going into it, and even I don't have access to every single thing which complicates work. IV: Interesting. Anything else? ???: GRAHH!!! BURAGHHH!!!! IV: Huh? What was that sound? Yuuno: What? Sorry, I couldn't hear that. Struggle Bind! IV:There seem to be some strange sounds... Yuuno: Sorry, can you speak louder? Damn that lousy Chrono...what perfectly safe and secure ancient text that requires my assestment? How safe is a large tome with sharp teeth that bites? Chain Bind! IV: Excuse me...Professor? Yuuno: Sorry, seem like the reception's bad here. Struggle Bind! Chain Bind! Seal!"
*BEEP...BEEP...*
Yuuno: Sorry about that. Now to answer your previous question... let's just say that the weight of management varies and we get our share of tedious assignments, one way or another. What? There's more!? I'll remember this, Chrono... All hands, ready at 3! IV: I see... sensei, that earlier sound...
*hung up*
That was interesting...to say the least for all 3 of them.
All in a day's work of Chro-no Kishi Dan.
Now, who can get all my Sugita references? :3
Ultraman Zearth? I saw SRW too.

Mid-Childa Galaxia Issue #6.9 : Keeping Fit with Males
(( Now that I think about it, there was a piece of paper outside my shed...
Haha! I got Bullet, Kyon, Ultraman and Bankai. Nice one, Nightengale!
And Hayate's onii-chan line completely made my day!

Yes Kha, I have finally been baited into this... I'm making a habit to check here just to read Nightengale's 'articles'
WELCOME! You should try looking at some characters. There's a link to almost every OC here at the first page. Courtesy of Erio.

You didn't see mine?
Fine, I'll do an expansion!
First of all, the clone-sword Omnislash ending with a backhand absolutely wins!
Second, an emo king with sealed emotions was epic! The Saber-ism only made it better.
Third, the mention of 'Advent' was a pleasant surprise. I'm assuming JENOVA is lost now. Am I right?

It would seem like Aurion was the only one who managed to pull it off without enraging anyone. I guess humorous methods make a big difference. Maybe I should write out those particular scenarios. LoweGear and Kha would especially enjoy the Fate battle.
