Its doubtful in the first place that it would get any low ratings. Kids anime are among (if not) the highest rated on Japanese television. And this is Gundam afterall, with all the backing of the Bandai marketing machine.
And in the (unlikely) scenario it does preform poorly, I expect them to rework it a bit rather than cut episodes tbh.

An observation/ question: the people complaining about the people that are whining about AGE are not really better than the latter. There seems to be an extreme view that you can either like it/tolerate it OR troll the show (well, the info we have). How about the middle ground? That seems to be where most people are standing, but they are thrown into the same pot as extreme-critics ^^' ?
I've noticed this a bit in fandom: it's all black and white. Sorry but I see nothing wrong with pointing out hopes/speculations and, obviously, given the premise- fears. Isn't that the point of pre-release speculation? It's not only critics that need to tone it down, it's the other side too. In other words: everyone, calm down Gundam is a certain franchise, so people expect things from it. And obviously there will be negative voices, if it's not fulfilled. It's sort of like buying from a high-end retailer- you expect a high quality suit. And you'll be displeased if they try to sell you jeans and a tshirt instead. It's human. So what? Also, hasn't Gundam X had episodes shaved off for bad ratings? Also, I sort of agree with you, Kaioshin sama a lot of people, (sort of including me ) are still in denial. But it would be hilarious, if it turned out to be a troll on the 13th. |

I'd say I'm in the middle ground. The Gundam looks neat, the inclusions of an unconventional menace is a nice touche, and this whole AGE system could be pretty cool. I'm eager to see if the Gundam will get an "Adult" form.
The only thing that is keeping me from fully letting myself get into it is these rumors of smartphone stuff. That is something I'm afraid I won't tolerate. People at 4chan are saying left and right that it ain't true, but the mere mention makes me cautious. |

It may explain why I'm so loving the AGE-1 Gundam at the moment, I'm a bit sucker for Ebikawa's Gundam 00 leads. At the very least, some of his elements are there even if it's not made by him.

Wasn't Victory Gundam & Crossbone Gundam have main character where there are actually younger pilot?
Don't get me wrong, i thought Gunpla was aim target for younger audience, for once. But now, this XD

I guess it all depends on whether the designs in AGE actually reflect the actual age/maturity of the characters... For all we know they could look like they are 10 and still have an actual age of 16 and talk/act like a 25 year old.

You know, I wonder if this will be the basic plot, when Furitto Asuno pilots the Gundam AGE-1, it will be in normal form, when Asemu Asuno pilots it he will gain the two other forms, and lastly when Kio Asuno pilots it he would of unlocked or from his farther new forms and a ultimate form, kind of like Kamen Rider Kuuga.

Well, some good news for me, I hope...certainly hope it ain't no lie...you can never tell with 4chan. Trolling is an Olympic sport over there.
Someone at 4chan wrote this about the cockpitless Gundams. Quote:
