I was wondering when the 12th and 13th CMs would come out, but they got batched instead. And then the order goes newest to oldest, which confused me for a second.

The battles look promising. A mix of beam spam and aerial dogfights, by the look of it.

I guess I'm guardedly optimistic at this point, depending on how much tinkering they did to Nanoha's character (read: included characterization from the manga) this could turn out really well.

Honestly, fight scenes didn't impress me all that much from what I saw. Definitely an improvement over the first season fight scenes, but I've seen better.

For some reason, I just can't shake off the satirical feeling of this movie, even though it is a serious retelling.

No thanks to hints that this is an actual movie to be showcased in Midchilda, emonoha, super reflexes pre-superhero scene that is cliche in all tight-suit superhero movies, along with how... audience-friendly Precia was ( though it's probably because of Linith ) , part of me imagines Nanoha, Fate and Mr.Director bickering on the making of the movie.

Director: But I thought you got whipped?
Fate: Mother was just... just... too emotional. She was kind. I think.

The fights looks better than anything the Nanoha series has offered so far, in any case.

Animation is a major improvement from the others. It's clear, crisp, and I see virtually no flaws with the character designs between scenes....Which all three seasons had a lot of.

Part of me wants to see the movie just so I can say I did and discuss it on the forums, but another part of me really couldn't care less and doesn't feel like bothering. It doesn't seem to me like the movie will be anything spectacular.

Basing it off a small trailer (which personally, I thought was great) is going to get you no where. Wait and see, and it might surprise you.

Pretty much... everything. Animation didn't impress me all that much, Fate's backstory isn't something I'm interested in seeing, and the fights are improved but not enough to really hold my attention. All I'm really holding out for at this point is plot, and currently from the trailers I'm not seeing much of one other than "AU retelling of season one with more focus on NanoFate".

Not interested in Fate's back story is a opinion, and doesn't detract from a series quality. Maybe from your own, but that's not the movies fault.

It was already confirmed to be a retelling of the first season, so hoping for something else isn't going to end well for you.

In the end, it's not the quality of the movie that bothers you, but that it's not going to revolve around something you prefer. And if that's the case, sure, you won't like it, because regardless of quality, the story and plot isn't going to satisfy you.
