It's not going overboard to say that we are trolled because that's what happened. If the whole issue between Masamune/Yoshino/Aki would be resolve in a few chapters and is presented properly then I wouldn't make too much noise but by pulling a fast one in 1 chapter later after Yoshino confessing felt very cheap. It's not about Aki winning in the end, it's about how this was all executed. Endless_Despair summed it up pretty nicely with his post.

Out of all the posts I read after the release of the spoilers, yours is one of the few that uses rational thinking and doesn't go overboard if at all over the contents. Like you, I also rooted for Yoshino, but c'est la vie. But I'm not buying the volumes, my library is too packed, I need to buy a bigger one

After calming down, I realize that Maid really was the winner out of all of this. I mean sure, she was rejected and all but Masamune is an indecisive, doubtful twat, Aki is an easily deluded idiot who (even after telling Maid to go for it) just accepts relationships with scum that hurt her and poor Neko was just made out to be a fool, she got the worst out of this ending. There is an epilogue coming out, right? I hope that Maid actually gets a guy better then Masamune, way better.

I doubt the author will allow anyone but the main heroine move on to find a new love .

It may be the usual attempt by the author at covering his/her true intention for the story by going with a more "fresh" initial setting to grab readers. Still, not good

Aki is not deluded, its more like Masamune and Yoshino toying with her as her initial reaction can be seen like this:

Yoshino: "Back then it looks like I actually care about Masamune, but actually not."
Aki: "Wait, what?"

Masamune: "Back then I said I decide to broke up with you, but nope, not happened."
Aki: "This one too?"



I can see Yoshino move on from Masamune as, among girls, she's' professional enough that she hardly bothered by her relationship with Masamune despite having feelings for him. Aki and Neko on the other hand, they tied to Masamune good enough that its not hard to see them find it difficult to move on from Masamune if said boy didn't pick them.

Its up to your imagination if Masamune deserves scumbag title;
For me, its just like other similar MCs who take same path as him before, he (or maybe, the author) wasted the chance to became greater romcom MC.

Finally read the raw. Wow, this went from 90 to 45, to me. The latest, final chapter somewhat feels like NTR (or should I say, netori?). Considering what the previous chapters are about, I’d say that claim is valid.

Already I see comments about avoiding the author’ next works. It’s fascinating how a single chapter can ruin a series, or a career, eh?

I don't know what do you think is influential to a career because you're totally wrong. Just look at Seo and how he always makes everyone rage and people still follow him, what happened on Masamune-kun is literally nothing and what some randoms say about his next work doesn't mean anything.
