If StoPani is adhering to the classic drama arc, we're perfectly on course for a fully resolved ending at 26. In the classic arc, this is when the heroes are on their knees and the situation seems desperate. And we just had that - Nagisa crying to sleep in Chikaru's lap, Shizuma losing it like never before and laying waste to her room. This is the destined pairing, and unless they pull a Canvas2, as Omni put it, they will finish together.

I'm only feeling pity for Tamao, who proved once more that even while she's stalkerish and weird at times, her care and support for Nagisa is very genuine. She'll be the one losing out in the end, and I just hope that the writers will come up with a twist not to leave her charred and empty-handed.

Agreed 100%! Right now, my real concern is Tamao-chan, who hasn't been developed even a little to have a good ending. Which is why I think her and Chikaru should somehow end up together! Even if rushed! I mean, the way things are going, Nagisa and Shizuma are all but official, and Tamao-chan will be left completely nerfed for a happy ending. That would really, really suck.

So, while I support Nagisa x Tamao-chan, I'm more along the lines of a happy ending for Tamao-chan, who DESERVES IT. And I'm not just talking about some crappy "Well, as long as Nagisa-chan is happy, I'll be okay" ending either. I want something *FOR* Tamao-chan.

Yes, she fell, and she's obviously unconscious, but that's all. I saw or heard no indication that she broke her back or anything. Those were generic "falling" sounds. In fact I'd be very surprised if she'd NOT make it to the Etoile selection (because that's the only way I can see to resolve the asymmetrical Shizuma/Nagisa/Tamao triangle without major cruelty).

Also, I disagree with Kuro. I've seen dozens of shows like this, and while SP's writing hasn't been exceptional or paramount, its turns surprised me often enough to keep me interested with ease. Some parts were actually really really good, and this episode certainly was among them. Strooong execution! Everybody plays very much in-character, and the resulting dilemma is both logical and touching.

I agree that it is touching but my biggest compliant is some of the major charcters just were not developed enough. Tamao is a great charcter but she did not get the charcter development she deserves. Same with Chikaru i think she great when she does have a part she shins but there are too far and in between it pisses me off. I feel the last 3 episodes are going to be rushed. I like this series but if they are setting us up for a second season i dont see if going very well. I have my hope for who i want to end up together but i really just want a GOOD ending.

After finding out from Miyuki that Nagisa and Tamao were nominated for the Etoile battle, this forced Shizuma to contemplate her feelings for Nagisa. Thinking back, She felt that she brought little but pain to Nagisa time and time again by her actions and Shizuma also feels hurt by what she sees as Nagisa's change of attitude towards her thus concluding that Nagisa proberly does not love her anymore. On the other hand, Nagisa wanting to tell Shizuma about her feelings went looking for her in the greenhouse. Nagisa then started to tell Shizuma about her/Tamao's nomination in the Etoile battle and was just about to say that she wanted to reject Miyuki's nomination when Shizuma interrupted and painfully congratulated her and Tamao and wished them the best in the upcoming battle. Deeply hurt, Nagisa started to break down, returned the key to Shizuma and ran away crying, leaving a confused Shizuma behind.

Gaaaahhh~~!! Their relationship was too unbearable to root! I know Tamao is cute, but Shizuma/Nagisa will win in the end.

It was Miyuki who made Shizuma persuade Nagisa to run for Etoile selection. She is preparing their (Shizuma and Miyuki's) departure. She thinks the school should run smoothly without them but with the new Etoile from Miator after their graduation. Also, she thinks Nagisa should forget Shizuma, who is leaving in the end.

Miyuki's way of speaking in episode 22 and 23 is somewhat authoritative and even Shizuma couldn't resist. She said to Shizuma "You should support my plan since you have said you left it to me."

Shizuma did what she was told to do. But I'm sure that she never expected Nagisa would accept the nomination with Tamao that soon. When she heard the news the next day, something snapped inside her.

I couldn't help feeling a surge of joy at the Amane scene. I almost wanted to do something drastic already, with the horrible, classical romance-plot buildup pattern being forcibly fed to the viewers. I don't think they can resolve the pairings in any reasonable way in the last three episodes, either. That's why they'll probably leave the pairings open without any real resolve...

Seems like the best way imo to bring Shizuma to true terms with her feelings now having left Kaori behind.. though i'm really can't see whats gonna turn Nagisa around.

That could be true and i wouldnt mind that one bit. It sucks that im so torn Tamao and Nagisa would make a great Etolie they are both caring and already carry themselves like big sisters to a lot of the girls. But i want Nagisa with Shizume romantically.

They need to do an OVA and make it all Chikaru that would be fun she so didnt get the props she deserves.

Like a side story OVA hm? Too bad Chikaru's always on the side lines or behind the scenes. She rarely have an screen time at all. When she does have one, it also includes Remon, Kizuna, and Teddy Bear girl Kagome-chan

And my bet for the final pairings are :
- Amane / Hikari - Hell, they'll make it to Etoile selection, no matter what happen. Even if Yaya kills Amane, she and Hikari will rise up as the Etoile!!!
- Tamao / Yaya - Love blooms because they has same fate. Sweet.
- and of course, Shizuma / Nagisa. I'll bet my PC for this pairing to win.

Heh, it was pretty easy to tell that by the near end of this series.. everyone would be going pretty crazy about who should end with who. ^^;;

As for the ost.. i have to wait a few days for it to arrive in the post, though there's no way i can wait that long.

Edit: I was afraid that the tune i've been wanting since episode 17 wasen't going to be in there, but at track 10 & named Kanashiki Kako, i'm happy to see its there.

Seriously, its such a perfect piano piece.. through each second of the piece of music, to remember just everything thats happened since then - and well, you know what happens then. ;_;

When Miyuki informed Shizuma of Nagisa's acceptance, she answered, "So, you have won the bet." This hints that she expected Nagisa would decline even though Shizuma herself told her to forget her and give back the key because she knew, or rather wished, that Nagisa was still with her.

Having heard of the news, Shizuma went into a mad panic. She found herself abandoned. Nagisa ran away from her to Tamao. Surely, it's all her own fault. She knew she was the one who cancel their relationship. She had done it just because she had to pretend to be a smart leader. If only she had had said "you don't", Nagisa would have been at her side.

Unfortunately it was impossible at that time. Shizuma was bound to act as she did because she was too accustomed to being smart and majestic to beg for something from her underling. I don't think she is a snob. But I don't think she looks Nagisa as an equal partner, either, at least so far.

Now, she knew her own true feelings. She understood posturing could bring disaster. She had never said the words "I love you" to Nagisa, yet. I wonder when she confesses.

In some ways i knew i shoulden't have read all that, but it would have killed me not doing so.

The famous "I love you", i can see that doing the job.. though now knowing it may happen, the tissue box is a must need.. even though its been here for a while, what with all thats been happening. ;_;

I'm glad that Shizuma bled. She deserves it after all the crap she put Nagisa through.

I don't think Amane/Hikari will become Etoile. The only reason Amane even wants to become Etoile is because she thinks Hikari wants her to be (which she hasn't revealed yet), and that's hardly a strong enough reason for her to become one. Besides Amane/Hikari already had their 15 minutes. Tamao-chan didn't. I believe the writers owe us at least that much! And Chikaru as her second!

Chikaru and Tamao-chan are SO much a better pair than Yaya and Tamao-chan. Both are sweet, smart, kind, caring and all the works. And both are currently single!

As for Shizuma and Nagisa, well, as much as I hate to admit it, you're probably right. Things don't become this angsty w/out something good happening between the two to compensate for it (as if the rest of the series wasn't enough *feh*).

*sigh* I hate straightforward anime.
