He could use it then, but not control it. Every time he did use it it shorten his life span, also there was always a possibility of harming/killing an innocent. It was until he fought the kyuubi that he can use it's full power (and even then he must be careful how he use it). So in the end he still had to work for that power.

*sigh* It's not healthy for your coconut
to say that Naruto is only strong because of the nine-tails, I mean it's his damn gimmick, ofcourse he has to rely on it to some extent, just like Kiba with Akamaru, Kankuro with his puppets, Gaara with his sand, and Sasuke with his sharingan, ofcourse you'll find that if you remove all of those they will all become significantly weaker.

That said, it's a tough call who's stronger between him and Sasuke. I'm extremely hesitant to say one way or the other right now, since we haven't seen what Sasuke's EMS can do, nor have we seen the completed form of Naruto's Tailed-Beast Rasengan (though I will be disappoint if it doesn't turn out to be a handheld nuke <_<). Given their current levels of power with regard to how we last saw them Naruto is probably the stronger of the two technically, but between the MS and Naruto's relative inability to combat Genjutsu it's a tough call. Ehh, wouldn't be much of a climactic fight in the end if they weren't perfectly matched though. |
