Lactence was part of the UNS which is why UNS officers went rogue forming Vindirance. These guys gave weapons to terrorists so Earth would have greater influence on colonies as decentralization happened already.

Regular Lactence are Pro-Earth centrists however their Zentradi chapter Fasces under Naresuan view the decentralization as heresy as he believes it goes against Protoculture heritage. Essentially he wants a Stellar Republic 2.0 with Earth taking the lead.

Zentradi have a more direct connection to the Protoculture that why some of them believe after regaining culture that they should unite the Children of the Protoculture whether politically (Naresuan) or economically (Richard Bilrer).

On the other end of the spectrum there is the separatist terrorist groups that get tagged as Anti-UN and Anti-Earth Zentradi. Max and Milia had to deal with both from 2014 to 2030 as Dancing Skulls. In 2031 tens of thousands of Anti-Earth Zentradi left in solo emigration ships never to be heard from again.

Mirage is continuing the family tradition of disguises and spying.

Though Mirage seems to take after Milia in infiltration rather than grandpa Max.

Milia infiltration - No makeup, no disguise, goes behind enemy lines, be herself, pick up popular local game and beat the crap out of every challenger.

Not the most subtle, but so far the most successful.

No, I have no clue why that works.

Grandpa Max? A hoody over an over-sized military hardware... I was secretly hoping he'd pull it off with the Macross 7 at one point...

Also, a heads-up for anyone who might be interested, if you haven't noticed the link in my signature. There is a radio show for Delta, hosted by Suzuki Minori (Freyja), Uchida Yuuma (Hayate) and Nishida Nozomi (Makina). I've finally caught up in summarising the parts I've enjoyed.

It's a show that seems to be aimed at teenagers, really, so there's a lot of playing around and not much discussion about what happens in the episodes themselves. But the most recent episode saw them welcome their first guest: Seto Asami, who plays Mirage. So you can find out what she thinks of Hayate if you like

In any case, new episodes come out at 3.30am on Sunday mornings (Japan time), so I'll probably get to episode 7 tomorrow. And I've heard that there was an 'episode 0', which would have aired after the December screening, so I may need to try and find that too...

in episode 7 the cat leader mentioned about the weapon and windmere killing friend and foe not roid and mirage told freyja that it was her people that used it not them but did she fight windmere 7 years ago? What if NUN is lying not them?

Well Lloyd certainly doesnt deny what the cat-leader said about the bomb or his superiority complex(guy wrote a paper or something about it)... But well it could be NUNS-plot or some 3rd party.

But then, NUN is pretty strict on stuff like this, if the fight got so ugly that they need to resort to dimensional weapon then I doubt there would be any surviving Windamere.

He was being evasive and didn't seek to pick the antagonizing bait. This episode reveals whatever the NUNS did was really awful because Roid scolds the rest for acting barbaric like them when they should be 'better'.

The Knights certainly blame the war and the disaster on the NUNS because it was personal to Bogue and that other former apple farmer. As did the bedridden King who had no reason to lie. Don't forget this guy was Arad's friend, so he's not likely 'evil'. Just misguided and consumed by revenge after how his people were wronged. It doesn't mean their current actions are excused, but it shows the consequences of aggressive space colonialism. If was the NUNs or the Anti-NUNS, they are just lashing out because they were wronged somehow.

Well, Roid does have a "secret" agenda (because everyone knows he's looking up protoculture ruins and legacy). Doesn't look he's evil, he's opportunistic, though.
